I am DEFINITELY buying this one! Torn between both covers, until I saw the images on the back. I will probably get the colorful direct market cover! And thanks Omar for the recommended/suggested reading before diving into this omnibus!
Thanks once again Omar! Wow. I'm gonna get this. I own the first Dark Nights: Metal and really enjoy it. This looks like crazy fun. It's also bittersweet because this is Synder's last hurrah in the DCU. I do hope DC does a JL By Snyder Omni, including the four issue No Justice mini, in the near future. As far as, "the never ending events" go, I do hope we get a Dark Crisis On Infinite Earths Omni too. Happy reading and take care and peace.
Had to grab this over on IST due to the great price at release. I haven't read the event myself but, so long as I know the leadup of general events, feel like I should be alright. Plus, I do like the madness some of these events provide.
I order my Dark Night Death Metal omnibus book, at my local comic book shop a couple months ago. It's just pity that DC comics didn't do a Road To Dark Knight Metal omnibus book. I hoping one day they will put out omnibus book that will Bridge gap between Dark Knight Metal and Death Metal. Because fans of the two books would like to see this happen . Good review Omar and I really enjoyed it a lot 🦸♂️🦹♂️🦸♀️📚👍👍
It's good to see that ppl have come around to seeing this event more favorably now. I don't really remember that being the case when it was releasing for a lot of ppl. I think this story is just so badass. Its just fun, and over the top crazy. I really enjoyed it.
Oh man... here it is. This story means so much to me. I was flirting with the idea of getting back into comics when metal and this came out. I collected all the trade paperbacks and LOVED it! I then came across this channel and found out about omnis. A few years later, I have just over a lil over 600 omnis with no end in sight, and is now my favorite hobby. Thank u so much Omar!
Gah I am so conflicted about which cover to get but I think I have to get the standard cover since it matches my standard Metal Omnibus better. Hyped to get this.
@@beastlaz I haven't read it either. I really hope they do an omni for it relatively soon. Batman Who Laughs OHC is a really great story by the way. There's a new Batman introduced that's really cool.
An Omnibus of Scott Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE would be awesome now. It would fit in right between the METAL Omnibus and this one. (It would need to have the “No Justice” mini)
Missing content? It’s got all the tie-ins You’ll probably want to read Scott Snyder’s Justice League run separately, but this omni includes everything Death Metal related.
You lost me when you said I had to spend more money and read other books I'm not interested in 🤣🤣. I guess I'm just too old to care about the "new" modern age. Seriously, what do they call this "Age" of comics? Did the Modern Age end when Marvel and DC decided to reset everything with NOW and New 52?
Death Metal is the biggest offender for this. When I finished reading Metal, I was so excited and immediately picked up Death Metal, only to be confused out of my mind after 10 pages.
Events in mainstream comics have almost always drawn roots from other series. To pretend that this is not so is hypocrisy. Especially when the event is a direct sequel to previous
@@Jackfromshack Never said they don't but to make the sequel almost entirely its own thing that requires a lot of reading doesn't make sense. Why even keep it a sequel at that point and not its own thing.
Incredible how many people in social media that hate 90s "edgyness" claim that they like this trash that is much worse. Neophilia at its best. In the meantime, we still have a lot of great post-crisis runs ignored or released on low quality compendium formats.
Despite so many review channels on RUclips, the passion Omar has for reading and reviewing these books are second to none.
Thank you so much for the kind words.
Can I get an Amen
Amen
This story was insane! Synder went nuts on this one 😁
Even though I don’t read much DC, it’s so nice to watch your videos and getting to know the information about these Omnis! Always a great job Omar
My favorite event!! Hell yesss
I had no idea a death metal omnibus was actually happening
This storyline sounds insane
Snyder and Capullo will probably go down as my favorite comic duo
Cannot wait to read this event
Finally a video that shows an order to read this massive and awesome story. Can’t wait to get my hands on them.
Btw the invisible chainsaw is freaking amazing!!!!!!

I have all of Snyder's regular Batman stuff, I definitely will read this eventually. Looks beautiful.
Got my copy yesterday!!!! LFG !
It feels like we just got the dark nights metal omnibus last week.
Pretty stoked to read this

Keep up the good job Omar
I was already sold but that fold out page confirmed it for me 😂
It looks like so much fun!
It is. Do not listen pretentious haters. Make your own opinion
@@Jackfromshack I always do 💪

I want to thank you because cause of you , your making me collect comics again keep up the good works🔥🔥❤️
Right on man! That's how I got back into it as well.
I got my copy today :)

Thanks for all the info! I was getting so confused as to where to start reading, and which books to get. This helps a lot!
Wow this looks amazing
🤘🔥👍❤ Awesome review as per usual Omar mate 👍 Much appreciated 🤘☠🤘🔥❤
I’ll pick this up on Black Friday, no rush for me
Awesome review Omar!! I will definitely be getting this one. Think I will go with the Direct Market Cover.
Nice book 😎
I’d really like to know the exact omnibus reading order I try to piece it together but it’s just so hard with new 52 and then the reboots
Gah I am so conflicted about which cover to get but I think I have to get the standard cover since it matches my standard Metal Omnibus better. Hyped to get this.
Proof that Snyder dabbles in hallucinogenics.
It's on my Pre Order list. So where does the Batman who Laughs OHC fit in?
It's inbetween Metal and Death Metal. I'm not sure where you would place it during Snyder's JL run but I assume anywhere.
@@nathanwalters4867 Thanks man, I don't have his JL run, so no matter.
@@beastlaz I haven't read it either. I really hope they do an omni for it relatively soon. Batman Who Laughs OHC is a really great story by the way. There's a new Batman introduced that's really cool.
If only there was an Omni for all the inbetween
Would you go for the absolute or omnibus, the same goes for Dark Knights Metal
Do you think DC will do a SS Justice League Omnibus?
I hope
Would you recommend reading Doomday Clock before Death Metal?
I will wait here for the answer
Doomsday clock happens way way before this. Can’t hurt. It’s a good read
It finally comes out right when I finish obtaining the entire collection in TPBs 😑
When are we getting Snyder’s justice league in omnibus format
Man, this looks absurd!

I have the first Omnibus and don't know if I should get this as a lot of reviews on amazon say it's a mess and missing so much content is this true?
Missing content? It’s got all the tie-ins
You’ll probably want to read Scott Snyder’s Justice League run separately, but this omni includes everything Death Metal related.
I thought Batman who Laughs was Judge Death?!
Thanks, Omar. The book is so ... ling, deep, I'll just stay with the deluxe edition. Who knows in the future lol 😂
You should also read Batman/Superman Vol. 1: Who Are The Secret Six? before reading Hell Arisen
How did they not put Speed Metal in here? That was the best one shot of the whole event.
It's included in this book
In my perfect world I wish they would use glossy paper for more detailed modern art, and matte paper for older silver age type artwork.
I can't decide between the covers
I followed this in paperback and it went so absurd, I loved the art but a castle bat, truck bat just nonsense replaces the storyline
Looks way better than the ugly absolute edition, but i also think these kinds of final crisis like stories are better told without all the tie ins....

printed so many times not worth $125
If you have bought it before. If not and you want it now probably the best way to get it.
Pass for me absolutely hated this event
Worst comic book ever.
