Another amazingly entertaining stream! Loved your choices. Just wish DC had more to choose from. I’ll be reading everything on the list I haven’t read already. Keep the content coming and I’ll be here watching and “liking”!! Thanks everyone!
The Death of Superman and Return of Superman were the two first trade paperbacks I'd ever owned, so I have a lot of nostalgia for the story ("I" meaning my Pop bought it back in like '93). I'm always on the fence of whether I want to buy it or not, but I do think it'd be a good pick for an evergreen. DC has kinda been a blind spot for me though, since I haven't really read anything from them other than Doomsday Clock and Joker-related stuff since Kingdom Come first came out. (edit: Correction, I got the Preacher Absolutes and had a good time reading those not too long ago...) Stream kinda got me interested in the Gotham Central and Green Arrow omnibus books here. I've just never been too interested in "bow and arrow guys," but maybe I should investigate? The idea that he's more "street level" certainly does appeal to me. Crime stories in Gotham by Brubaker sounds like it could be a good time, too. 2:26:05 - Hmm.. That IS good advice. I don't have problems, really, reading Silver-Age stuff but I do notice that whenever I'm reading something that old it just takes SOOO LONG for me to get through the stories. Congrats to the Loeb/Sale team on getting a book on BOTH the NMC Marvel AND DC evergreen lists! (RIP Tim Sale). Thanks for the stream, crew! These have been really fun to watch!
Haven’t had a chance to watch the stream yet. But I know Death of Superman will be on someone’s list. And I just wanted to say we need two Omnibuses sandwiched between Exile and Death Of more than any other Superman Omni!!!
They need to omnibus all of Triangle Era. Two books a year. People will buy them. DC's frequent failure as a publisher is they don't give people reason to buy their Volume 1s because they don't follow through. They need to pull a MoKF/Romnibus move and announce an entire four years of Superman omnis all at once.
@@PeterMarinariYES!! I can’t agree more! Announce your volume 2 before volume 1 hits the shelves! Marvel also did this with Peter David Hulk and Conan.
Another fun stream and omar didn't get shut out this time! The library donation video sounds great and really nice of you guys to do that. Still hope for a manga evergreen in the future.
I’m gonna agree with the consensus. A Neal Adams Batman with the original art would be a solid yes. The garish coloring really really brings it down drastically
I just started reading a couple years ago. Started with single issues then quickly started going to collectors editions. My top 10 would be 1) Batman Scott Snyder (very first omnibus bought) 2) Batman Detectives Rise and Fall of batman 3) Wonder woman gail simone 4) wonder woman brian azzarello 5) Green Lantern Geoff Johns 6) Batgirl Gail Simone 7) Flash Joshua Williamson ( I know it isn't out yet 8) Harley Quinn 9) Gotham Central 10) Aquaman Geoff Johns Need Birds of prey gail simone omnibus and Jones / Ram V catwoman omnibus
I wont lie that as much as I LOVE DC comics and grew upmon and loving Batman, Superman, Aquaman and all their villans, I am not as well versed in the huge world of DC Omnibuses and comic stories. Moving on. How in the Blue & Red blazes has The Death & Return of Superman NOT be evergreen? It is practically the Bible of DC comics xD. Glad to see many picked it. I dunno about volumes 2 & 3, but volume 1 of Knightfall absolutely should be evergreen! I wont stand for slander for it xD. Both the Batman and Superman by Tomasi & Gleason I feel should ALWAYS be available for folks. Im a firm defender of New 52 Justice League, Aquaman by Geoff Johns, Aquaman by Peter David (yep saying it before its out! Longtime lover of Aquaman), JLA by Grant Morrison and Final Crisis (Im assuming this is). Still need to get Fourth World, I heard its a great companion piece to the afformentioned Final Crisis.
Green Lantern by Johns 1, 2, & 3 if it's omnibus. (The real evergreens for DC are deluxe editions -- Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen, and All Star Superman)
Great to see Joe Corallo on Near Mint Condition! It's always been great to see him on Thinking Critical so hope to see him here again. I have to say the choices the crew came up this time were much better than for Marvel (those were 95% crap choices). Even Jess had decent choices 😂
52 or infinite crisis should be evergreen. Teen Titans vol 1 should be replaced with JLA by Grant Morrison. Otherwise, the best collections in omnibus format are still being held off by DC: Batman by Frank Miller, WW by Greg Rucka, and Superman by John Byrne.
By "evergreen" it means, if you ran DC which books should you always keep in stock because they'll sell forever. Some of these picks are just their personal favorites and not titles that will sell well forever. Every person should have had a Batman title on their list if they were following the topics intent.
Joe is 100% right with the Neal Adams pick, but everyone else was also right in saying that the ideal edition would be a Denny O'Neil omni or a Bronze Age omni with original coloring.
Me: Has never bought a physical comic book
Also me: Yes, another 3 hour video to watch *gets comfy*
Do I absolutely love these streams. Thank you all so much!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for these type of streams. They are such a joy to catch up on.
RUclips takes 55% of the superchats? That's disgusting.
Joe Corallo's picks are THE picks.👍👍👍
Can’t wait for that X-men evergreen video!!! This is truly turning out to be a stellar series!
That will just be Phoenix volumes 1 and 2
Another amazingly entertaining stream! Loved your choices. Just wish DC had more to choose from. I’ll be reading everything on the list I haven’t read already. Keep the content coming and I’ll be here watching and “liking”!! Thanks everyone!
Thanks for watching!
I love Jack Kirby as a writer as much as an artist, and while I don't how the voting will go yet, I think he is a hard sell to general audiences.
I really enjoy this video, it's fun seeing you compete and it's a very good concept to talk about a lot of books.

Thanks for the stream, crew! These have been really fun to watch!
A new DC Classics collection has been announced.
I’m so excited for that line!
Great stream, I laughed a lot! 😂
Thanks for watching! I had a blast!
As a new comic reader Adorable Omnidog and Crushing Krisis are one of my favorite duos so far of 2024!👍
22:36 HAHAHA THAT'S How you follow the Marvel Evergreen Omnibus List HAHAHAHA
Haven’t had a chance to watch the stream yet. But I know Death of Superman will be on someone’s list. And I just wanted to say we need two Omnibuses sandwiched between Exile and Death Of more than any other Superman Omni!!!

i love these streams, I appreciate the fdifferents point of views, fantastic!!
As strange as it may be since it didn't make the cut, this video sold me on Doom Patrol.
Another fun stream and omar didn't get shut out this time! The library donation video sounds great and really nice of you guys to do that. Still hope for a manga evergreen in the future.
The fact that Animal Man appears on nearly every list should be an indication of how good of a book it is
first stream I actually caught live had to comeback and watch really enjoyed this!
Great stream Omar!
Personal top 3;
1. JSA by Geoff Johns
2. Flashpoint
3. Infinite Crisis
I'm loving OmniDog's Batman Knightfall omnibus picks for Evergreen!
I love this run , I mean it's one of the most important batman stories ever
I’m gonna agree with the consensus. A Neal Adams Batman with the original art would be a solid yes. The garish coloring really really brings it down drastically
I have everything on the list but in tpb or hardcover format ☺
Not a big Harley Quinn fan but that one seems like a no brainer.
Agree with Peter about Connor and Palmiotti's Harley Quinn. It wasn't for me.
It wasn’t for me either, but it has an audience and Harley definitely sells.
I just started reading a couple years ago. Started with single issues then quickly started going to collectors editions. My top 10 would be
1) Batman Scott Snyder (very first omnibus bought)
2) Batman Detectives Rise and Fall of batman
3) Wonder woman gail simone
4) wonder woman brian azzarello
5) Green Lantern Geoff Johns
6) Batgirl Gail Simone
7) Flash Joshua Williamson ( I know it isn't out yet
8) Harley Quinn
9) Gotham Central
10) Aquaman Geoff Johns
Need Birds of prey gail simone omnibus and Jones / Ram V catwoman omnibus

DC needs an out of print and a what omnibus to make
That explains why Jake wasn't able to do Sandman... oh man.
Green Lantern by Johns 1, 2, & 3 if it's omnibus. (The real evergreens for DC are deluxe editions -- Dark Knight Returns, Watchmen, and All Star Superman)
Love this livestream idea
Of all the books here, the only one I actually own is GL by Johns.
Great to see Joe Corallo on Near Mint Condition! It's always been great to see him on Thinking Critical so hope to see him here again.
I have to say the choices the crew came up this time were much better than for Marvel (those were 95% crap choices). Even Jess had decent choices 😂
Animal Man > Doom Patrol
Phoenix for DC evergreen omnibus
52 or infinite crisis should be evergreen. Teen Titans vol 1 should be replaced with JLA by Grant Morrison. Otherwise, the best collections in omnibus format are still being held off by DC: Batman by Frank Miller, WW by Greg Rucka, and Superman by John Byrne.
I would LOVE a Frank Miller Batman omnibus!
Omar anything you can do to get dc to seriously releasing omnibus of the 1970s batman, detective comics, superman and action comics runs?
By "evergreen" it means, if you ran DC which books should you always keep in stock because they'll sell forever. Some of these picks are just their personal favorites and not titles that will sell well forever. Every person should have had a Batman title on their list if they were following the topics intent.
Any podcast with Joe Coralla is a must watch for me.
I feel that Detective one is overrated, especially compared with a Flash by Mark Waid or a Green Lantern by Geoff Johns !
HOW does a Corallo sound exactly like a Carolla?
Joe is 100% right with the Neal Adams pick, but everyone else was also right in saying that the ideal edition would be a Denny O'Neil omni or a Bronze Age omni with original coloring.
There were no definitive Batman stories until The Dark Knight Returns.
You could probably make an argument for the O’Neil. Adams - Ra’s Al Ghul run, but even that didn’t have the impact of DKR.
RUclips takes 55% of donations?!!
Yeah. It’s crazy
JLA by Grant Morrison is the only Grant Morrison that should be evergreen.
The Fact Geoff John’s Green Lantern Vol 1 isn’t on here is a joke. Keep politics out of your picks.
It did make it on the list.
