Personally my plan was to strip the car and just go all out and build it but I'm really loving driving my GT on a daily basis so my plan has changed to just updating it and going through the suspension and just enjoying it
I feel ya on buying parts you don’t want or don’t need, also people change throughout the project and goals change too! As foxbody owners we all have that love hate relationship with our cars
Your channel got my back into a fox couples years ago and everything you mentioned I have dealt with throughout the couple year build. Have a goal, set a budget, find reliable help.
My #1 tip would be to just always be on the lookout for a killer deal for parts that are rock bottom stupid cheap. I’ve came up on some of my best parts this way for my mustang projects.
I’m building a daily fox that’s just fun and looks nice for a good price maybe later on I I may drop the bag but rn I just want to daily for the summer
Audience, Great tips. I decided to just make sure I can ENJOY my Fox regardless of keeping it rock chip free. It's time to play, because my Fox was my first patient✌🏼.
Good tips! My first was a 1991 LX 5.0 which I got in 2001. I owned it for 5 years, then bought 94 GT 5.0, then 2012 GT 5.0. Now I am selling 2012 GT to buy a 1996-01 Cobra coupe I will never ever sell the Cobra(dream car since I was 14). Once Cobra squared away I plan to go full circle and get another 91-93 5.0 GT/LX low miles and hopefully less than 3 owners. When I finally do land the fox my first major mod will be swapping T5 for legit transmission. I don't wanna be scared to beat on the car. I recall being college student and shattering T5 in 94 GT after I done H/C/I put radials on rear and done couple hard launches and bye bye T5.
Great video and info. All that you said is things I've done to my Foxbody. You really got my attention on this one mentioning your dad's 1984 Lincoln Mark VII. I've been building one since 2004. Hope to have it ready this next coming year. That's if I don't see some more creative ideas you guys post. That's been my biggest issue.
Great Video. Making the Plan has to be #1. You gotta know what your end-state is. like you said, is it a driver, a show car etc etc.. I like to keep a notebook of all of the odds and ends. I mean these cars are no longer "stock".. It gets hard remembering what "parts" I.E. (where did my 5 lug axles come from-- Oh thats right a Ranger).. What year..crap?!?!?! So yeah - write everything down so you can go back to it when you change your mind or if you need to replace something that's aftermarket/not-stock..
Great content ! I totally agree with You . Make a plan it's going to make Your build better and You only have to please yourself It's Your dream and You are the only one that can say what You want ! 🇺🇲 🇵🇷 🦊 👍
Funny how you mention patience lol…..I fuckin hate being patient when working on mine…..but…..to do it right the first time I’m learning very quick to have patience lol …..but I agree on fresh wiring that way there’s no issues…..I’m fighting with the egr system in mine right now and it’s a headache for a simple system
Good ass video!! I appreciate you bro! $teel City Pittsburgh in dis bitch!! Here is a tip from a rookie! Dont be scared to turn those wrenches! My fox isnt that hard to work on. I didnt know until i tried.
Hands down enjoy your car. Drive that joker. My tip would be have a motor that you can do some small repairs to. Don’t have something to where it always got to go to the shop for everything single thing. And like bruh said drive your car enjoy it.
@@BuiltVSBought I have a question for you. Do you have cruise control on your car with the swap? And do you know anybody with a swap either terminator or coyote that has cruise control with the new computer systems out?
Dont strip the whole car thats more than 100hrs right there.. but do look for those problematic rust prone areas when foxbody car shopping (torq boxes, quarter panels, floor boards, ttop n sunroof cars have roof rust..cowl .firewall..strut towers.battery tray and underneath it) find a good runner or roller for 4k like N.E.O did .. So find a way to learn to turn a wrench🔧.. Paint society tube channel is a good source to learn how to automotive painting.. Welding school tube chnl good source for welding tips.. My man appreciate the feed back, just picked up a fox on Sunday. Last Fox I owed was 1996 prior to the Marines

I bought my first Fox in 1993. Bright yellow vert. Thanks again for all your content.
Good choice!

I was broke and couldn't afford to fix my 94 and sold it for $1,800! Black on black was sweet car probably worth $6,500 at the time!
your right on patients, mike at A and E has had my car since oct of 21
I appreciate putting this into perspective Kenneth with my build I need to take a few more things into consideration 🤘🏼
Glad it was helpful!

Man thank you so much. Listen there will always be something new I can’t keep up lol
Great content Ken, great info. And the love and struggle with cars period, with any of the older vintage of cars.
Glad you enjoyed it

Just get it running and enjoy. That goes for any car. It's doesn't always have to look nice in the beginning before u drive it.

Can you tell me your brake kit setup with part number front & back and where you purchased the kit?
By watching your videos, I can tell we are in the same area. If you had to paint your car again, who would you have do it?
My car was painted in Chicago
Great episode and advice bro
Good video and great tips! 💯👊🏾
Sweet video brother 👍👍
my main motivation to keep working on these dumpster fires is to get tp drive them and enjoy the shytbox they are as I improve and modify them..
Definitely a big thing on wiring because these cars have problems with wiring from the factory
