Despite being a guy who's mostly into hard rock and rap, hearing this woman sing this song makes me tear up. Then again, so the hell what? I'm not made of stone!
One of the best emotional versions I've heard. What a great singer Kim is, she builds this song up until the final crescendo belting out those high notes, just brilliant!!!
I have known Kim since junior high, we lived in the same neighborhood together, we went to school with each other, even saying in the high school course Together, made a amazing trip to Europe, she had an amazing voice then and amazing voice now. I wish you all the luck in the world Kim. Love you then, love you now.
It's difficult to find a good interpretation of "Climb Every Mountain" anywhere on the internet. Both her execution and stage presence lend themselves perfectly to this song. What a treat it must have been to be in the audience that night. Brava!
I hope that Kim actually reads the comments on RUclips. Hi Kim. I'm that Dude, who managed the bar at the Biltmore when you did "Star Dust". YOU WERE SO KIND TO ME in the early days. I remain stunned by you. I said Hello after a show, you walked up to me and had a talk with me about what it REALLY is/takes to succeed in this business, that I will NEVER forget.I am forever in your debt. And SERIOUSLY "It Happens To The Best Of Friends" remains my absolute favorite song of all times because of YOU
Kim Criswell has a VERY BEAUTIFUL singing voice and does a splendid job in singing famous songs from LOTS of Broadway and Movie Musicals. Good job well done 👍!!
Hearing this really transported me back in time. In the late seventies, when I was in my twenties, I saw the very young Kim Criswell in a four singer revue at the Kennedy, based on the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein. The appearing with older and more experienced actors, Kim stole the show. Years later, living in London, I saw her performing again; she had settled permanently in the UK by then, and I saw her both in concert and in several plays. Very talented lady.
The American who moved to London. The only and only Kim Criswell. America's loss is Great Britain's gain.......her glorious voice is as wonderful as ever. Long live Princess Kim!!!!!!!!!!!
Me trae muchos y cálidos recuerdos de mi mas tierna infancia, cuando aún asistía al jardín de infancia. A veces la escucho y me reconforta y hace que sienta lo mismo que sentía entonces...
l can scarcely believe it, but it is nearly 40 years since my late partner and l saw Kim Criswell as a young woman in a four-person Rodgers and Hammerstein review in Washington DC. Years later when we lived in London we saw her perform a few times, but l will always remember her as a girl of 20 or so.
She has a huge stage presence and is a great musical star. Actually her voice is a bit weak and tentative in the opening section . I suspect she doesn't sing in operatic mezzo soprano style very often now , or perhaps until the key change the song is a bit too low for her voice ? However when she takes the last two high notes and smiles she is supreme!

This, for me, is the most beautiful song from “ Sound of Music”. This singer does it with such passion. Bravo!!!
Holy hell that gave me shivers!!!! What a beautiful instrument to have!
If you enjoy singing a half-pitch too high...
Awesome! What a beautiful voice and interpretation!

Wonderful song. Great performance.
A feast for the senses...magnificant
AMAZING! LOVE IT 10 stars!
And let's not forget to thank two gentlemen by the names of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.
It's Kim Kriswell. It even says so in the description.
her voice gives justice to this song !!!! KIM a great singer !!!!
Kim, you just get better. Been listening to you sing that song since 10th grade at Hixson High. Wow.
Holy jeezus. Absolutely incredible.
The American who moved to London. The only and only Kim Criswell. America's loss is Great Britain's gain.......her glorious voice is as wonderful as ever. Long live Princess Kim!!!!!!!!!!!
What a truly great song this.
Beautiful!!!
Bloody hell she's good!!!
If you like people singing out of key!
Me trae muchos y cálidos recuerdos de mi mas tierna infancia, cuando aún asistía al jardín de infancia. A veces la escucho y me reconforta y hace que sienta lo mismo que sentía entonces...
She actually never really liked this song. And yet, THIS was Kim's moment. Fantastic!!
I climbed a lot of mountains when I was younger. I am from Colorado.
marvelous !
素晴らしい!本当に素晴らしい!本当に、本当に素晴らしい!

@mhertz25 she has moved here?
I saw here at Snape proms, a smaller theatre just before this concert, singing the same programme almost, excellent
Kim and the choir equal magic.
Come to Australia, Kim!
VERY inspirational song. And don't you wish you could sing that good!
fantastic
One of the best, if not the best. Eileen Farrel, on a telarc recording, is my favourite.
This song moves me
EPIC SONG!!
👏👏👏👏👏💜💜💜💜💜💜
@hanshandslover Beautifully put... and I know exactly what you mean...
Just wow.
Wow weee!!!
Can anybody tell me where I can find this on CD &/or DVD ? Searched everywhere. Thanks in advance.
genius
Now that makes up for the lacklustre performance from Sierra Boggess!!
Oops. I left out the "is". What a truly great song this is.
Superb rendition. Very similar to Margery McKay's version.
good

Very sharp on the high notes...
I've uploaded an HD version which this performance most certainly deserves! ruclips.net/video/25IsnIDENgE/видео.html
Kidding
Anyone that puts a thumb down needs to leave our planet
It started with the orchestra drowning her out, it never got any better. She might have sung brilliantly, no one would ever know.
You need to clean out your ears
Kim Criswell still has a great voice, but man did she gain some weight. I think her version of "The Saga of Jenny" is the best I've ever heard.
2 dislikes? they never made it to the mountain top!
Not in the movie but The Real Von Trapp Family actually did reached to the very top of The Hill!!!!
A lot of people mentioned this to me as a FACT according to ALL of my books on the subject of The Sound of Music.
Which in reality is a FACT and the Truth beyond the Mountain of The Real Von Trapp Family!!
