My how the GT-R has changed.. When it first came out, it was the performance bargain of the century. Amazing supercar beating performance for just $69,850.. Now, the rest of the supercar, and performance car world has caught up and surpassed it (hell, there's even a Camaro now that can compete with it on the track), and meanwhile, the GTR's price has ballooned into the 6 figures.. No longer the bargain it once was.
***** Well.. When I said Camaro, I was referring to the new $75,000 dollar Z28.. Which, with it's Holden chassis, developed with lessons learned from Australian V8 supercar races. And it's Corvette Z06 motor and super sticky cup comp tires etc.... Vs. a full fat base GTR with standard tires, it's a close race!! But you're right, the GT R is still faster.. Especially when it's taken to it's maximum, like the astoundingly fast Nismo GTR, boasting a Nurburgring lap time of just 7:08!!
Belgian Tax system. I had it registered on my company, the state decided to add 20.000€ per YEAR to my net income because of the GTR. (then know we pay 55% income tax) (they devised a formula: Price when new + indexed, Produced Co, Power ...) A friend of mine had a C63 AMG (also had to sell). For that one they added 27.000€ PER YEAR to his taxable income. I'm very very very sad ... Because of this new law, in Belgium all sales for fast or big cars is now about ZERO. Same for Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, etc. Law is also valid for second had cars. So if you buy a 25 year old Rolls Royce that costs 7000€; they ll add about 30.000€ PER YEAR to your taxable income. Sales now, also ZERO.
Most of the comments say this car is extremely expensive in their country but here in America, I feel good knowing I can afford one if I wanted it. Murica!

The only complaints I've read about the GTR is that it works too well - in that the AWD and traction control put the power down and handle so well that it doesn't require a lot of skill to go fast and the driver doesn't "feel" like they're in control or get enough feedback. Being designed too well is a good thing IMO... love the GTR. For the performance and price it's the best supercar out there.
Put it in R mode then, lots of fun to be had. If your car is 3 years old then you don't need to worry about warranty anyway ;) I drive one everyday and I really don't care what anyone says it is a fun car to drive and it takes skill to handle when your driving that fast.
It's not so much that it works so well, it's that it works so well at the expense of engagement. The engine note is non existent, the driving position doesn't feel sporty, the weight makes itself felt.... it doesn't really come alive until you really push it to its limits and you will never get to do that on the street.

the '13 GT overall is an awesome car and I filmed myself test driving it last week (only had my camcorder at the time, my gopro wasn't set up). I have a longer upper body so I had a hard to switching between the gas and brakes but I got used to it in the end. All I gotta say is that it really does have a lot of power and it's fun while cruising and/or accelerating

I respect the power and the engineering but outside of the awd and nissan badge it has very little in common with the previous 3 skyline models and that lack of tradition in my opinion is disturbing. GT2 RS and Carrera GT have similar if not more power and they ONLY come in a manual so maybe the Nissan engineers need to regain their 90s swag. Who would've thought a German enthusiast car would come manual only in today's car market? Go Figure
I got to drive a 2012 R35 on Saturday on a road course. The acceleration was expected. The cornering ability was shocking. You can feel the weight of the car for sure, but the extreme limits you can push around a 60+ degree turn blew my mind. Now I really feel the need to upgrade the tires on my FR-S. And save up for the supercharger, too. Dammit.
GTR is a great car, but don't forget about driver skill! also people who say the GTR is dull, muted.... not fun.. computer controlled r joking for sure.. 0 - 100 in 3 seconds ur gonna feel that with twin turbos.... the acceleration must be nuts especially the turbos haha and u still have to be good to drive it say an event literally a couple of days where a 2009 r35 gtr came last in its class against wrx's and evolutions. crazy car

You're barely even getting into the throttle with these reviews man. I like your reviews but there needs to be more raw acceleration instead of these little 0-35mph pulls that you do.

I bought my 09 pre covid for 46k. Can't beat that price. All stock. From original owner. He took care of the car ! I did trans and few small bolt ons. Car is reliable as hell. 76k miles now on the clock ⌚ :) still puts smile on my face. Carvana offers me 59k as it is now. Of course no accidents on the car. GT-R does holds the price in this crazy times. Hoping to keep it as they don't make r35 anymore.

The paddle shifters being mounted to the column and not the wheel actually makes it more difficult when driving on the track. You're supposed to drive with the your hand on the wheel and 2 or 3 fingers on the shifter. I found myself trying to reach around certain parts of the wheel to shift when going around a corner.
I've ridden in a GT-R. Rides horribly. You can hear horrible clunking in the back from the transmission. But that car is so special, you can almost ignore it :)

I drove my first GTR today and as a Porsche driver, I have to admit I thought the GTR was really astounding, as you said. Or as I said today... savage. I totally had the same giggle on my face :)

The paddle shifters being mounted to the column and not the wheel actually makes it more difficult when driving on the track. You're supposed to drive with the your hand on the wheel and 2 or 3 fingers on the shifter. I found myself trying to reach around certain parts of the wheel to shift when going around a corner.

I've ridden in a GT-R. Rides horribly. You can hear horrible clunking in the back from the transmission. But that car is so special, you can almost ignore it :)
Dude. The transmission is a dual clutch so maybe that's why. I've never rode in one so I wouldn't know what it sounds like.
Optical Wrecks It's specific to the GTR. The dual-clutch in the SLS, A45 AMG, Porsches, and Ferraris aren't known for those noises.

***** The GT R cant handle 2000 horsepower, and honestly I dont think any car can sustain that. I have seen videos where they got an AMS full tune and drove it on a track and it quickly ran into problems within a few laps
There is an easy way to get a better ride quality in the GTR by changing out the shocks and springs. Awesome video bro!

I REALLY want to review a '13 Mustang GT, but I can't find one near me to review. I know my friend in Virginia offered to let me drive his, but that's 7 hours away. If I can't find one around here to review by the end of the summer, maybe I'll make the trip :) As for the 2015, there's not too much info to speculate on. I'm following it closely though. As soon as there's more info, I'll be sure to talk about it in an update video!
