Asking the question why things work or don't work makes sense but what I've found is even if i get an answer I many times will have a hard time understanding the answer. I think the reason for this is because I know not everything is black and white or yes and no and my adhd brain wants there to be 1 answer per quesstion. I get overwhelmed thinking there's many different ways. I am a perfectionist and it keeps me from doing things I know I ought to. How can I improve my critical thinking while not being overwhelmed?
ironically the trick is to use critical thinking. Critique the thought of perfection. Why do I have to be perfect? What happens if I fail at this thing? Is it the end of the world? Or will I learn and improve? Does it make me bad? What's the basis of this information?
