@1:12 I still can't tell if Spiderman is uppercutting Hulk's stomach or his nuts.

Ed is dead on talking about proxy bidding. Heritage is notorious for this, and it's getting really bad in the retro video game world. Sealed NES carts are just being sold back and forth to the same dudes to inflate the market and create false demand.

Thanks for the upload. Acts of Vengeance and was the shit! I remember Magneto fighting Spider-Man. Spider-Man had cosmos powers for some reason. It was wild. Eric Larsen run, I believe.

Thanks for reviewing Amazing Spider-man 328. This was my very first comic as a kid that started my collecting. It was such a weird comic to start my collecting because I had no idea what the heck was going on with Spidey's powers. That said, I was amazed by McFarlane's style. It's my favorite comic I own simply because it started my love of comics.

This issue came out fall 1989. The adjectiveless Spidey was out the summer of 1990.

Spider-Man had Captain Universe powers. They did a What If? about the storyline about it. It is deeper than it appears. I could go on but others have said it better.

I had this one. I’m experimenting and drawing hulk now for the first time and my imagination always came back to Todd and Bill S’s versions. RIP by the way man.

    Wow
Operation Wolf was so difficult. All these memories in the page ads.
This is great coverage. Nice to hear about artists from artists

The hiatus between books was 8 months. An eternity for 13 year olds.

Even before the video game ads... I own a book from the late 70s/early 80s put out by DC and Radio Shack. It's a Superman comic by Jim Starlin and Dick Giordano about how TRS 80 computers help Superman save the day with kids showing him the technology. Great video on this Spider-man issue. One of my favorites.

I remember reading this at the drugstore as a kid (parents didn't get the comic for me though), and I was all about Cosmic Spider-Man, haha.

Spiderman used to be something serious. Then they started making him overly weak as time went on based off what I saw. He still won but they know they could make him much stronger than they usually portray him.

damn, it was strange to come back to these macfarlane drawings. Didn't remeber those strange faces. Still, beautiful book

The proxy bid is unlikely here. You need one tech nerd billionaire who loved that comic and it is chump change.

Spider man movies should of been like the Todd McFarlane or Eric Larsen . They have more action than boring romance

At 13:30 you called this page a money shot. No doubt. McFarlane was on top of his game. My question is while the pose is cool and all, what is he swinging from? He's over the river. Low flying clouds? A particularly beefy pigeon? The power of positive thinking? Is he like Wile E. Coyote and has to be reminded that gravity and physics are a thing or they don't affect him?
