Discovering Cartoonist Kayfabe is one of the rare good things to happen this year.

Legit, this was my first Daredevil comic that I pulled from a quarter bin when I was 10

I can still remember being bowled over by this issue when it came out. The tension and drama were unlike anything else on the stands at this time. Great video as always guys.

Nice review, guys. I always saw this issue as "What if Terry Austin had inked the first issue of Ronin?"

This might be the single best comic I’ve ever read. It’s truly incredible.

No mention of the Miller signature on the first page?

Issue 192 was written by Alan Brennert, who is a very good writer, though his comics work was limited in number. He consistently told very human, humane stories (similar to JM De Matteis, but not as 60s), as #192 demonstrates. I would have loved him to have taken over from Miller, but alas he only wrote that one DD issue.

Great info guys. One of my favorite issues from a classic run. This and DD#181 were definitely the most cinematic stories from Miller's run. Another +1 to see a vid on Klaus Janson's work. I read somewhere Klaus used some advanced techniques to get different color values out of the old newsprint format. Duo tone, zipatone and spot color placement were innovations he took to another level. Keep up the great work guys, love the Chloe Sevigny - Vincent Gallo reference too , btw.

I was twenty yrs old at this time (1983), and Frank Miller was such an inspiration for my own comic illustration.

they recolored the digital edition of this book , cranking up saturation and adding gradients ... its just sad . i hate when they recolor the digital books . i would love to read Neil adams comics digitally , but they have been recolored with shitty photoshop techniques .

Yes. Yes. Kids are indeed difficult to draw. I find the artists who use a cartoony style produce excellent images of children. Damion Scott comes to mind.
