    About 1 1/2 years ago, when I "discovered" you, I started (at the age of 39) to really think about what I am putting on my face. Since then I have learned so much and changed a lot in my skincare. Since then (and because of you) I am using every single day an SPF 50. Thank you, Renee, for opening my eyes! Wishing you all the best for 2020.

From cleanser to essence, serum, oil, mist, cream....and my skin was so healthy and glowing! Amazing! And I have mild rosacea which was never inflamed by using their product line, at all! Brava to Tatcha! And of course the many other products you’ve mentioned 😁👍. Xoxo 😘 Deborah

    Hi! Could you do a skin care for fungal acne sufferers please?? I love and trust your knowledge and I think this would help so many people who have acne that won’t go away... not enough people talk about fungal acne!!!

    • @marianne6373
      @marianne6373 4 года назад +4

      Check out the website Skinkarisma. You can look up a product or copy and paste the ingredients list into their cosmetics analyzer, and it will tell you wether or not the product is fungal acne safe (among other things!)

    • @gothamista
      @gothamista  4 года назад +16

      Hi love, the reason I don't talk about fungal acne is because I think it's a misunderstood concept. There is no fungal 'acne' but there is Pityrosporum folliculitis which is a fungal skin condition which looks like acne but it's not actually acne. Fungal infections are diagnosed and treated by medical professionals and is often easier to treat than acne with the proper medication.

    • @jrmcdonald7510

      Also try Simple Skincare Science. The writer suffers from fungal acne, so he created a HUGE site about it. He has a list of 1200 products that are safe for fungal acne.

    • @drummahaerogirl
      @drummahaerogirl 4 года назад +2

      Gothamista I’ve been to countless dermatologists here in Montreal in the past 10 years and not a single one mentioned pityrosporum folliculitis so one ever treated me for it or tested for it and none of the acne treatments they gave me ever worked.... so when I heard about this and “fungal acne” it was an eye opener!! I learned that some products can trigger it and some are safe. It would’ve been lovely to have a video of a simple skincare routine that would help it keep it at bay once treated!! Thank you for you reply, I really appreciate it!!

    • @drummahaerogirl
      @drummahaerogirl 4 года назад +1

      Marianne yes! I use it daily!! But sometimes it’s weird because when you do a cosmetic analysis certain things will say it’s fungal acne safe and then when you search for the same product in their product bank with the little magnifying glass, the same product will show up as not being acne safe so it’s weird

    Hi, i'm new to your channel but i'm loving your videos.
    I'm really curious about why you chose more pricier products over cheaper even if you saying you like both?
    I'm newish to skin care, but i'm a makeup artist and i assume that it's works same as with make up - there a lots of products that i like from the drugstore, that a affordable, but i tend to prefer a pricier one only cuz i can and it makes me feel good. Is that the case with skin care too? I wanna start lightly on skin care moneywize. So should i buy an ordinary line for my needs? Or better start with something pricier?

    Hi! I binge watch your videos whenever I’m on a break. I really need lip recommendations. I’m allergic to beeswax and lanolin so whatever I use has to be vegan. I do use lip oils but I find at times a balm texture would be more convenient. Can you recommend any good vegan lip balms? They are IMPOSSIBLE to find.

      Hey I have the same problem but since I use gentle exfoliater toner (PHA) and Alpha Arbutin by The Ordinary, they even out that area and matched with the rest of my face

      @@قمرالمطيري-س4ز I use skin1004 madagascar toner, it has PHA in it. It works amazing on me. PHA is the most gentle one. Or just use Alpha Arbutin is not exfoliator, similar to niacinamide but I think it so much better on sensitive skin

    What are your thoughts on dermatologists who believe that adding oil to the skin actually makes it drier because it communicates to the deeper layers that oil is present and no more needs to be produced? Seems to be a theory gaining traction. I personally love oils but I don’t want to downregulate my own oil production.

    • @marissasun77

      Liz Martin it depends on the oil... not all oils are equal

    I’m going to order evy sunscreen from 50-ml website. They ship to US but with a hefty shipping cost of $19.20 and a tax of $5.19 😬
