Thank you for sharing this! I just bought two of these wonderful tanks for my new guard army, and will be magnetizing both :)
Got 3 of these monsters to /build and paint this edition, I've always kind of leaned towards playing an extra russ plus whatever over a dorn, but I think I wanna try one, plus if I ever run a pure armor list again I think staring at 3 dorn's across the table would both be awesome to look at, and a very uncomfortable time for most opponents 😂.
Thanks for putting this together!
Personally when I get this tank I'm going to make the Melta and Stubbers into Slaved Pintle weapon's.
Thinking a Twin Heavy Stubber with Gun shield would look far better than the Hull mounted guns on this kit!
Thanks for sharing this 👍🔥
My pleasure!!
Let's goooo!!!!
14:42 I immediately drilled all the way through 😅 nothing a little green stuff can’t fix
Whoops 😅
Thank you for this
No problem 😊
@@CadianSergeantSteel definitely have a new follower :)
Thank you for another incredible tutorial. Do you have plans demonstrating how to magnetize any of the other new AM lineups?
I do, but none in production at the moment. I think I may "update" my painting tutorial on vehicles for the Rogal Dorn, so that's next up, plus several battle reports and unit reviews. In time though, if I get enough requests for a specific unit or feel a certain unit on my own would be worthwhile to do a magnet tutorial on, I'll definitely get one together. The only one that comes to mind at the moment would be the new Sentinel Kit. What are your thoughts?
@@CadianSergeantSteel Any updated content is always a huge plus! I think with the new set of models, it’s a perfect time to refresh the video range. Might draw in newer viewers seeing tutorials on the new models.
I would like to see the sentinel, field ordinance batteries (mainly because there seems to be a few videos that talk about their methods, and I am always open to different approaches), the leman Russ (this is because most LR magnetization videos are pretty old. I would like to see an updated video with your new structure and format).
I watched your tutorial on how to magnetize the commander a good 30 times before drilling into my first model. It helped me figure out where I needed to place my magnets precisely. One thing I was hoping for was advice on how to do it with 2 armed models. Once I had a few trial runs I got it down.
@@CadianSergeantSteel I also wanted to note the general lack of quality magnetization guides on the internet/ RUclips. I’m not exactly sure if this is because everyone figures it on their own, or they don’t bother using magnets in the first place. So I think if you can capitalize on that niche of the hobby- you’ll have an unique specialization.
This video is a gem, thanks a lot! I do have one question though: I've already pretty much built the entire tank so I can't go inside the hull to set up the magnets there. Am I just **** out of luck in when it comes to the hull weapons? 😅
I think you could try this: drill out the hull weapon slots to a slightly larger diameter. Magnetize the hull weapon first. After that magmet is firmly in place and cured, shove a small amount of green stuff into the hole, slap a magnet onto the weapon, and push it in to wedge the magnet into the green stuff (or into some glue you have carefully placed inside). Gently pull out your hull weapon, see if the magnet stuck onto the green stuff. If not... you could just put a little glue.on the back of that magnet and try to stick it in onto that green stuff that way. Or you could, if you bottom is open.... put the glob of greenstuff onto the inside area where the hull weapon will mount and then do that same option 1 I recommend above.
@@CadianSergeantSteel Thanks, I'd never have imagined I'd be happy about the open bottom on the Dorn. I'll give it a shot sometime soon. Thanks, Sarge 😁👍
Awesome video. Those placement tools... where could one get them?
Those are Magnicators from the Magnet Baron.
@@CadianSergeantSteel thank you very much
Anytime!
Looks good man too bad I built mine befor seeing this
Maybe on the next one? 😉 The Emperor wills it.
With the small front mounted weapons did you try cutting that piece off that you insert and just do magnet on magnet?
I did not. Rather I did what was shown and magnetized back into thr hull area. I thought I would lose my "nipple" weapons less if done that way.
I fully understand that! And fyi I’m definitely calling them that from now on lol!!
Did you magnitise your new sentinel weapons?
Yep! It was really easy using the 3x2mm magnets or the 2x2mm magnets from this tutorial.
@@CadianSergeantSteel I'll have to give this a go!
