Clearly put a tremendous amount of effort into the video and the result? A very professional and informative video that people can use to apply themselves. You're as meticulous in making your videos as you are in the way you clean your cars. Really appreciate all your hard work!!!!
I find myself using a combination of all those techniques based on what I'm doing or what part of the car I'm working on. If I'm doing a panel by panel rinseless wash with ONR I use a waffle weave drying towel and dry panel by panel. I find the pat method takes way too long otherwise if I'm doing an entire car. Normally when I do a two bucket wash I will lightly mist the panel with a quick wax to use as a drying aid, and then drag a high pile microfiber over the surface. This also happens to be the fastest drying technique with a towel. And for the lower panels I just fold and wipe so I don't get dirt on my towel. Thanks for sharing, that's one beautiful car!
Although I didn't agree with the towel drying process. As I read the comments, I noticed that the video publisher has a great sense of humor. Therefore I gave this video a Thumbs up!!
Excellent technique and explanation for uses of the different types of drying towels.A pooling rinse will eliminate a high percentage of the standing water on the car, usually around 70% or more.Really enjoy your videos, keep up the great work!
That green color is absolutely spectacular! Overall, it's a stunning car for sure. I'm glad to see that most car manufacturers (even the mainstreams) are offering much more vibrant colors as options in recent years. The late 60's and early 70's have returned in color offerings! And car manufacturing itself has come such a long way since then also. Many cars now offer the black rims as options or standard availability whereas years ago you would have never seen those, even as a custom fitting. I guess the ability to make them just wasn't there years ago or at wasn't easy at least. The only option you had was to "paint" your rims black years ago. All these "custom" or "one off" rims weren't even dreamed of. There was a few rim companies out there for sure if you wanted custom, but NOTHING like today where you can actually create and have your rims built to your exact specifications using C&C machines, laser cutting machines, and 3D printers! AMAZING.
Cool Carnt wait I must say you best videos are where you are describing what you are doing and products you are using to tackle each part of the detail. As this help me improve my home car washing buddy.
Posso usar um selante ou uma cera Jet para pulverizar a superfície do carro para secar com a toalha de pelúcia ????? Aguardo a sua resposta ... MESTRE GURU. Obrigado !!!
I've never had any issues with wiping dry with a waffle weave. I know its pile isn't as deep. But I'm guessing you would have to have a REALLY dirty or contaminated car to actually cause damage with a waffle weave. Even if it did cause light marks, I don't think there's too many ways to clean a car without at lest leaving some kind of marks
How do you clean microfibres? I also have a big blue fluffy and unfortunately thrown in the washing machine with everything else plus fabric conditioner/softener and now it doesn't absorb any water it just leaves streaks on the paint 😩 Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Junkman2000 and AmmoNYC both have good videos on MF cleaning. In short: Wash alone in hot water. You're pulling out oils and waxes, so use something like Shout with your detergent. I prefer a liquid detergent. Repeat wash/rinse cycle without any detergent to ensure all soap residue is removed. Then hang dry. Get a drying rack at Walmart or elsewhere household goods are sold and dry your MF towels inside (not on a clothes line, and never in a dryer where the heat and residual fabric softner will ruin your towels. That said, you'll never recover your MF towels that you've washed with other fabrics. Don't even bother. They've pick up lint and absorbed softener that will never come out good enough to use. You now have some very expensive shop rags. Consider it a learning experience. Go get some good MF towels, and treat them right.
Hi Could you pleas make a video about cleaning ceramic-breaks and there calipers right... I have had different problems in the past with them. I'm from Switzerland, and for me it's a great pleasure too watch your videos.
CCG - what are your thoughts of drying a wet car initially with a cordless leaf blower? I use a cordless Stihl leaf blower and then finish with a microfibre towel and it works much better than microfibre alone.
First time I've heard about blowers for drying a car. Would love a video about it :) I have been known to crack out the compressor to rid the door handles/fuel flap/lights of annoying water that runs down the dry panels. Pat dry? I can put a fruit pastille in my mouth without chewing it but I just can't apply a cloth without moving it!!
what do you use to get the water out of all the little cracks? I dry my car, but upon driving it all water comes out of grooves that the towels don't get into and leaves water streaks! do you ever use an air compressor to blow it out whilst undergoing the drying process?
When I saw the thumbnail and description my first thought was ' that's an interesting way to dry the towels on the spoiler of a Gt3 RS. '. I just dry mine on the radiator in the kitchen.
Just a quick question. My car is 9 months old and white. No matter how much washing etc there seems to be finger prints near the door handles from either my kid or mrs. Can you recommend a way i can get rid? It did get a diamond bright treatment when i got it.
"I hope seeing me cop a feel of Kermit the frog on steroids has helped brighten up your day. Muppet molesting aside though..." hahahaha you have a way with words sir.
hi there, is it possible that you can do a video on snowfoam please? I've been using snowfoam recently on my car and after ive finished detailing the car my drive is covered in the foam. could you do a quick 2 minute video with your routine for getting rid of the snowfoam (rinse away or let it disapear over time etc etc...) much appreciated
Would you mind doing a future video about different types of MF towels and what kind of ones to look for? There are so many out there, different gsm's for example and places like wilko's, halfords, costco etc. all sell different types. Cheers!
I know this video is principally about drying technique but have had a 2019 991.2 GT3-RS and want to know when power washing are there areas to avoid spraying directly like the side air vents or the rear vents near the wing? Any possibility of wetting any air filters in the process is my biggest concern?
Obviously you wouldn't want to spray directly into the vents but some overspray isn't going to do any harm. You could place a folded towel or scrunched up plastic bag in there if that helped keep your mind at rest but just remember to take them out afterwards!
Very informative, you talked about pros and cons of each towels. Because of that I subscribe I would like to ask some question 1. I s The plush towel that you used in that video is enough to dry a whole car? 2. Do you need to wring the plush towel once in a while? Thanks
Great video as always thanks !. Just washed my A45 this morning at also used the Drawing technique where possible, then wiping. So much Salt on the roads at the moment i noticed my Intercooler at the front was corroding so attempted to clean this as best as i could though the grille, and Jetwash it clean. Any tips for Alloy parts like this that get attacked in the winter ?.
Fes Y Thats poor. I used to fit plates on new cars for a dealership when I had nothing better to do, and believe me, I was millimetre perfect. Its easy to do and no excuse for shoddy work, especially on a pricey car like this. Saw a new BMW the other day with a slanted rear plate. Very poor PDI work.
Just a quick question , I've got a white car and when I'm drying it I use auto finesse drying towel . I can never get the car to dry completely , what is the correct way of drying it with the towel, do I have to wet the towel first before drying it or am I missing something Please help
Question: You never show it, but do you pop open all the car's panels when drying to get in all the panel gaps like bonnet, boot and doors? I do that on my car and am constantly moaned at by the missus that it's pointless because you can't see any of those areas normally and it takes longer!!
Why is it that whenever I dry my car it always looks smeary afterwards? I wash the microfiber towel after each use and they're decent cloths not cheap ones yet my car looks crap and smeared after?. What am I doing wrong?

You're as meticulous in making your videos as you are in the way you clean your cars.

Love your videos mate so informative and to the point, thank you for making them I appreciate the time and effort you put into them for us to watch.
Could not resist checking in to see this GT3RS! Good video still using towels here so it's good to have any extra tips!
thedownshiftchannel Yeh but it's slow... 🤔

Derek Lopez 197 mph. What do you drive. A Chiron???

One of the top RUclips channels out there this guy is the master of auto detailing

Thank you for taking the time to make this video and share your knowledge with us. Great commentary and well done.
Very interesting tip about putting detailing spray on the towel itself - I'm going to try that myself next time
Still to play with a GT3RS. Absolute animal sir. What a colour!
Superb review of the towels and techniques.
Alan 😎👍🔔
You couldn't choose better car for this lesson!! I think the silverback and the drinkers towell are the best!!
Love the commentary. Very relaxing voice to listen to
I would pay you money to wash my car and read me a story
Jackanory
Ok, that is just funny! Good one Mura!
Three techniques people should know and a great demo as always!
Those last two lines were brilliant. Did not expect them. Kermit has never looked so good!
These videos are so relaxing.
I found your video very hundy especially when trying to sleep helps me the best thanks!
Cool Carnt wait I must say you best videos are where you are describing what you are doing and products you are using to tackle each part of the detail. As this help me improve my home car washing buddy.
Great vid as always ! I use some of the techniques that you have shown on RUclips when I'm cleaning my cars.

Class real world advice buddy thank you.
Beautiful green!
elegant way to clean these precious machines :)
Another amazing video, thank you man. Cheers from NYC 👌
Great tutorial.
How do you launder you're towels after use? (water only, organic liquid etc)
thanks
Great video and I like your commentary!
That wonky rear number plate is annoying my OCD,
Do you mean CDO 'cause the letters are now in the correct order - like they should be!
daz6546 me too
I like these video's and your special, magic voice!
This is what I've been waiting for!
can you show us the best way to dry the car windows, is it the same technique as in this video?
can clean it
Posso usar um selante ou uma cera Jet para pulverizar a superfície do carro para secar com a toalha de pelúcia ????? Aguardo a sua resposta ... MESTRE GURU. Obrigado !!!

Thanks for posting. I just bought a waffle weave towel to help speed up the drying. Now I'll know how to be careful with it.
Another informative video. Thanks for all the links to the products but very interested in your work trousers. Any info would be great.
How do you clean microfibres? I also have a big blue fluffy and unfortunately thrown in the washing machine with everything else plus fabric conditioner/softener and now it doesn't absorb any water it just leaves streaks on the paint 😩
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Same here, it seems to of forgotten how to absorb now haha
I wash all my car cleaning towels and mits on their own. Normally on a 90 C wash, Just half a scoop of powder and No fabric conditioner.
Yeah, a guide to cleaning the cleaning products would be handy.

TheBerkeleyGang you want warm not hot. hot will "burn" the micro and it will lose is absorbent property also it will feel harder and not as soft
another great video. keep up the good work
Hi
Could you pleas make a video about cleaning ceramic-breaks and there calipers right... I have had different problems in the past with them.
I'm from Switzerland, and for me it's a great pleasure too watch your videos.
Can I use a sealant or a Jet Wax ??? I await your response ... MASTER GURU. Thank you!!!
Thoroughly excellent outro :)
CCG - what are your thoughts of drying a wet car initially with a cordless leaf blower? I use a cordless Stihl leaf blower and then finish with a microfibre towel and it works much better than microfibre alone.
Thanks for confirming I'm doing things right. Very helpful vid and my dream car...would just love to clean one of these!
First time I've heard about blowers for drying a car. Would love a video about it :) I have been known to crack out the compressor to rid the door handles/fuel flap/lights of annoying water that runs down the dry panels.

Have you had any experience with the twisted pile drying towels?
You must go through a shocking amount of different sprays etc, that's the main thing I think about through all your videos 😂
what do you think about rinse aids like auto glym auto gloss rinse?i found it good but not at the dilution ratio they specified
When I saw the thumbnail and description my first thought was ' that's an interesting way to dry the towels on the spoiler of a Gt3 RS. '. I just dry mine on the radiator in the kitchen.
Great video my friend! Beautiful car too:)
hi guru, what would be the most effective way to remove paint swirls in winter temperatures, thankyou.nige.
Just a quick question. My car is 9 months old and white. No matter how much washing etc there seems to be finger prints near the door handles from either my kid or mrs. Can you recommend a way i can get rid? It did get a diamond bright treatment when i got it.
do you use a microfiber to dry off the inside of door panels?
"I hope seeing me cop a feel of Kermit the frog on steroids has helped brighten up your day. Muppet molesting aside though..." hahahaha you have a way with words sir.
ottimo video,costo??
Just a quick question, what do you do when you don't have a rather large sports wing to dampen your towels with detailers spray ??
Could you tells us which all purpose cleaner you use please.
hi there, is it possible that you can do a video on snowfoam please?
I've been using snowfoam recently on my car and after ive finished detailing the car my drive is covered in the foam. could you do a quick 2 minute video with your routine for getting rid of the snowfoam (rinse away or let it disapear over time etc etc...)
much appreciated
what is the best shampoo you have came across or is a wash and wax better if so what's the best?
What do you use on the fiber towels during drying? You are spraying something on the towel? Thank you
Would you mind doing a future video about different types of MF towels and what kind of ones to look for? There are so many out there, different gsm's for example and places like wilko's, halfords, costco etc. all sell different types. Cheers!
What's your thoughts on a master blaster dryer
i live in pa and hate how much rain we get i couldnt imagine living there and being a detailer
Good Night Master Guru !!! I like your work a lot ... The spray that you mentioned is kind of a sealant ??? I await your response ... Thanks !!!
Good tips, beautiful car
whats the brand of that blue towel? is it DC BASICS ?
what is the detail spray you use can you link it please as it wasn't in the description
just a question, when revving the engine, did you warm it up before turning on the camera? or does the owner rev it for you?
Maximus Heronimus owner :)
That light blue cloth is my mums’s tea towel!
Love your videos 💣💥
Did you prime the yellow microfiber towel as well?
Can you use the same techniques to dry the windows?
What is the spray that you are using to prime the towel?
what are you referring to as completely contactless drying?? air dried, like a metro master blaster?
Basically, yes!
Hey, question. Why they say that microfiber towels make little micro scratches? Why everyone not use a Chamois for sample??
I know this video is principally about drying technique but have had a 2019 991.2 GT3-RS and want to know when power washing are there areas to avoid spraying directly like the side air vents or the rear vents near the wing? Thanks.....I avoid direct spray as a rule.
Great video again. Keep them coming =D
+Car Cleaning Guru have you done a contactless drying video or spot free rinse video?
Very informative, you talked about pros and cons of each towels.
Because of that I subscribe
I would like to ask some question
Use acf50. Works wonders. Wont harm it either as it's used on aircraft's
Do you ever detail motorcycles?
are those special pants they look dope
Nice cars man, u seem to have good client base, any vids with DA thanks
LOL. I came looking for drying the actual towels!
nchia try ammo nyc's channel, he does washing microfibre towel tutorial vid
thetraindriver01 I've seen that. But the pic here I thought were towels drying on the rear wing. :)
Understandable, have a great day
Really informative. What do you use to lubricate the paintwork prior to drying?
Rear number is few mm off......
Im not the only one who noticed
Fes Y Thats poor. I used to fit plates on new cars for a dealership when I had nothing better to do, and believe me, I was millimetre perfect. Its easy to do and no excuse for shoddy work, especially on a pricey car like this. Saw a new BMW the other day with a slanted rear plate. Very poor PDI work.
Fes Y I was just going to say that XD
Front too... :(
What do use as a drying lubricant?
The blue is very good
Do you lubricate with water or some sort of solution?
+wassup A detail spray usually.
I thought that you would show us how to dry a microfibre towel by tying it around the spoiler of the GT3 RS and driving it really fast
No why Didn't I think of that, good excuse for a joy ride!
Just a quick question , I've got a white car and when I'm drying it I use auto finesse drying towel . I can never get the car to dry completely , what is the correct way of drying it with the towel, do I have to wet the towel first before drying it or am I missing something
Please help
You just have to wring them as best you can. The heavier and plusher towels all leave streaks of some sort without wringing.
@@CarCleaningGuru thank you , appreciate it , keep up the good videos
Question:
You never show it, but do you pop open all the car's panels when drying to get in all the panel gaps like bonnet, boot and doors?
I do that on my car and am constantly moaned at by the missus that it's pointless because you can't see any of those areas normally and it takes longer!!
Yes, I actually filmed that for this car but didn't really have anywhere to put it in the video. Drying the shuts off alone can take me half an hour.
Hi
I got 4 color
Light blue,
green,
yellow,
dark blue
please tell me how to use Microfiber and where to clothes
How much do u charge would love u to give my car a full valet as ur care and professionalism is honourable
Hi man, what detailing spray would you recommend to use? Something like Auto Finesse - Finale?
My car doesn't have a wing, how do I apply the detailer to the towels?
You'll have to beg, steal or borrow an RS I'm afraid.
Why is it that whenever I dry my car it always looks smeary afterwards? I wash the microfiber towel after each use and they're decent cloths not cheap ones yet my car looks crap and smeared after?. What am I doing wrong?
Try wringing your towel out more.
What are your favourite products
whos watching this in 2020 during the pandemic??
Decent video. Commentator sounded like the bad guy from Gone in 60 Seconds
LOVE the car, yet not quite sold on the 'happy-froggy' colour choice… (I myself would go with black/orchid two-tone ;-)
