One of my favorite movies of all time!! Soul food is such a unique movie because it focuses on every emotion you could feel. Happiness, sadness, shockers, anger, worry, positivity/negativity, excitement ect. It's so sad at times but ends very well. With the family back together.
In my opinion I don't think Lem's ex and Bird's ex Simuel's brief appearance at the wedding was no coincidence. I think Simuel set that up to distract Lem so he wouldn't notice another man feeling up on his wife. Otherwise knowing how crazy Lem was Simuel would've been dead.
I'm Italian and the pinning of money to the bride's dress is something we used to do at weddings, too. I didn't realise other people did it until I saw this scene.

I dont like how Ahmad was always in grown folks buisness. Didnt he have school or something!? Anytime a situation popped up there he was smh Terry was tooo stuck up, still no excuse for Miles hooking up with her cousin, but she could have been a little more caring. Maxine was my fav.
