      Or he's making the videos over a longer time and releasing them when it us advantageous to marketing the kit.
      At least this one is reasonably priced for what you get. He had some items in the past that made you wonder if he was crazy. They seem more reasonably priced now too though.

      My question is why make a diy kit that already have the holes cut out but now you gotta drill ontop of the existing holes lmao.

    • @ishsiriram6646
      @ishsiriram6646 Месяц назад

      @@Bmanfresh In my experience the profile cut holes don't leave a clean edge, on the drawing for the profiling I normally make the holes slightly undersized, then drill them to to exact size after for a cleaner finish and more professional end result. (You could skip this step entirely and make the the holes slightly oversized). Having said that I will still follow those steps for the tapped holes or you could damage your taps on the rough edge of the profile cut holes. Hope that makes sense.

    Probably help if you drilled 12 shallow blind dimples in the side of the dies to allow the set screws to hold the dies more better in alignment and more user friendly.Wicked robust design ,I like it. You could even design a set of dies to tip by gradually starting flat and then twist into a 90 degrees all in one pass.

    Hi from Wales UK Karl
    All I can say is thanks mate you are awesome after watching the make it video I went to the metal stockist and got 3 x 1ft square 6mm thick sheets and started building it the foot
    wide gives me an extra 3" in the throat and I had all the rest of the bits in my scrap bin and a spare air chisel already
    I went straight for the planishing hammer idea you mentioned polished one of the hammers and a lump of mild round bar and it works like a dream produces a beautiful polished
    finish tomorrow I start on the arm and dies to make the shaper attachment want to make a joggler die and already thinking of an adjustable fence to fix to the frame
    Again thanks one of the best channels out there

    You should make a kit like that for your bead roller. I think it would sell well and it would fill the gap between a hf roller and a Mittler Bros. I also like the fact that it uses the 22mm dies.
    With your skill set you could do well offering weld up kits like Swag Off-road does.

    That’s a neat little tool. Good idea. Only slight limitation for beads is they have to be within 200mm of the edge of the panel. I don’t think beading is this tool’s best feature. Other tools do it better. But I can see so many uses for this in other ways. For example, I wonder if a tipping die could be designed for it? This would play to its strengths. Also linear stretch dies & hole punching, shearing, countersinking holes, riveting, could be possible? Literally tons of uses where air tool can be used with this type of clever alignment. I think if you could design and produce some good dies for this, for sale, then this tool has multiple uses for small fab shops and could be a winner. Great work.

    • @MakeItKustom
      @MakeItKustom  4 месяца назад +3

      Yes, I believe a lot of these are possible and I’ve even thought about making an attachment to except the very common kick shrinking dies. If this tool can do a variety of operations, I think it can be very useful, even though it’s limited by its size.

    Takes me a while to decide if I'm going to subscribe, watched a few video's over last few years so decided to subscribe at last.
    I like your presentation, really enthusiastic.
    You seem like a really great guy on camera who want's everyone to be able to have tools to do the job but unlike several channels I've watched, realise not everyone has unlimited funds.
    I'm retired motorcycle mechanic so will probably never make or use 99.9% of the information you give away, hope you inspire others as much as me though

      Thank you for this feedback! I do really appreciate it and certainly don’t want to lose the roots of the channel. I still have lots of work on cars to do and I am going to try and pump out two videos a week, so that one can be on the projects at least. I don’t want to see it become just a DIY tool channel either. My passion still lives in building cars.

    Here is a tip go and buy several cheap cordless drill motors to keep your chamfering bits in that way you don't have to change them using the chuck instead you just grab another drill motor like a California reload with firearms you just pick up another firearm that is already loaded instead of bothering with reloading the one you just emptied same thing with angle grinders buy several and have different discs and grinding wheels that you use most often at hand ready to go

    So after seeing the first video i made one for myself just off the last video
    it was a spur of the moment thing so I didn't have a long throw air hammer nor did I have enough bolts so I made mine a weld together
    The biggest thing I learnt was the position of the air hammer
    Having the right hammer not the standard short throw ones
    And the die surface finish
    I also have version 2 that I am working on with a few changes that will make it a more versatile tool for my shop
    it's a very clever way to create a profile without the footprint or cost of a larger machine and it's very capable
