I have the 2022 Beta 250 RR/RE and man I love that bike. Coming from a 2021 KTM 300XC and I don't think I'd ever go back. Beta is the first bike I've owned that I've had to do very little to make it feel right. Tires/mousses, kick starter and some protection and that's it. Stock suspension feels great off the showroom floor. The 23 does looks slick and KYB in the back is a nice addition too. Cool video! 👍✌
Thanks for watching! Yeah dude I don’t have words for how good it is. I’m gonna try to get some fast footage instead of slow stuff. I’m excited. Braaaap!
I might not be fully KTM qualified to answer but.. the 2023 kTM 300 XC-W I rode was so smooth that it was weird. No powerband. No vibration. In a perfect world that’s great but to me it was strange. No feel at all. The Betas are slightly more raw feeling. Sone call it fun factor. Good news is I watched a review on the new KTM 300 (dirt bike magazine) I think. The loved the new 24 throttle body on the KTM. Much more snap and feel. They raved about how much it improved the feel of the bike
Wow that G-Out sure was a surprise!! Both you and the bike handled it well. Thank you for the review. I miss having a 300. They sure have come a long way since my 05 KTM 300.
Thanks for watching. Yes it probably bigger in person (the G-out wash) but I made it. I ride the 300 because it is so easy to ride. Take care out there
Thanks! You’re a desert guy right so you know how those washes can bite ya. Prob should have lifted the front wheel a bit. Part of the vid I cut out was me talking about how I don’t pre-run the trails before filming so I can check all the hazards first. Yes it could have been worse. Thanks for watching man! Are you on the 200? You were right?
when in doubt hit the gas, usually works out for the better but opposite of what most think you should do......cant even count how many times I've done that same thing and crashed cuz I slowed down or hit brakes.....pin it and you clear obstacle
Such a beautiful bike! If you watch the IRC Tire Guy vids, he describes the Beta motor and how it runs and responds as simply perfect for technical riding. Being as he generally rides a different manufacturer each year for his instructional videos this is seemingly high praise. Nice job Beta.
I watch his videos. He’s awesome. After making my first talking vid, there’s a lot I left out. Like the counter balance and motor. Betas strong points are: motor, the bike insides confidence by its stability. It feels so balanced. Power is friendly yet potent if u need it. Suspension as I ride it I find it to be better snd better. It makes the rider a better rider the moment you get on
@Utah Desert Rider the experience of my riding group has been the same. A few years ago we had the usual mix of orange, red, and blue, but it is now almost all Beta as they do provide an advantage for regular riders even if it's only psychological. A little confidence goes a long way in challenging terrain. The added bonus of being able to register and plate even the 2 strokes has opened up new riding areas for us as well.
@Utah Desert Rider here is a vid from my place, you can see some nice loamy ground as well greasy clay. This is private property about one hour north of NYC. Traction changes greatly from section to section. ruclips.net/video/tN3v3FXaG2g/видео.html
Thanks for commenting. That was my first review of any kind. Pretty horrible. But after the beer it got better. Lol. I was going to do a follow up review. Just not sure if I’m interested in doing it. The bike is really good tho!
Nice vid coming from the 2017 you forgot to mention the new buttery smooth clutch I just went from the 2018 250 rr re to a new to me 2023 250 rr re And my biggest notable difference was smooth all around smoother
I do also. I almost bought a 22 3 months ago. Then I rolled the dice and waited for the 23. I’m glad. They look good but also the KYB front and back. I’m starting to gel with the new bike. It’s really great. Hope to get some fast videos. When I ask my wife to film she complains. 😀 gotta work on getting my drone figured out
Such a gorgeous bike. I think the Betas get better and better looking. If the 2023 is anything like my 2021, it will take about 100 good hard trail miles for the suspension to really break in.
Thanks for the comment. I have like five rides on it. Prob 10 hours. It feels like the suspension has settled in nicely. I’m sure your 21 is a great bike also. The counter balance also seems to be a major improvement over my 17 300. I’d like to do another video but my footage has been boring lately and my voice is horrible. My buddy has a KTM 300XC-W trying to get him to do a little review comparison. Thanks and have a great day!
@@utahdesertrider1806 Duuuuude I know exactly how you feel. I have a channel as well, and part of the hardest part is to keep up the conversation. But I hate my voice also, haha. The bike is awesome, but I'm envious of the KYB shock your bike came with.
I had my 17 Sachs forks done by racetech. They were improved. I thought they were good until I rode the 23 with KYB front and back. So nice… a pro told me. You don’t know good suspension until you’ve ridden really good suspension. I think I know now. 😄

I'm seriously considering a 23 race. Waiting on the demo day next month before I decide. Good video. A Utahn drinking a beer? you must be a transplant. Lol.
Yes I am a transplant. Lol. 2014. After riding a few rides on various KTM’s I found that the kTM have a very refined feel. So refined that there is almost no powerband, almost too linear. The Beta has a great mix of very linear yet the kick of a powerband a bit of old school and a counter balance new school. The KYB’s are very very good. I highly recommend the race model
Nice Christmas present to yourself! I can’t decide between a Beta 300 or a Sherco 300. I do have a weakness for blue having had 4 WR 450’s over the years.
I’ve seen a couple Sherco out in the Dez. I know they are good but I’m bias to the Beta. Man the bike is electric, smooth and flickable yet stable. Thanks for commenting. I’m gonna try to make better videos in the future.
Check your parts availability for the sherco. I have no problems getting parts for my 21 Beta and I am already getting stuff sent for the 23 Beta rr race I ordered 3 weeks ago.

Oh man.. I’m sorry. When I bought my 17 Beta 300 I financed it. So I had to have it insured. I’ve kept it cuz it’s only 15.00 a month for my two bikes. So yeah. That’s why. That sucks man. Where are you at? Utah?

I counted all the way out till stop (8 clicks) I put them back in 4 from all the way out. (4 in) I think the dampening is still to fast. I’ll slow that down next time. But man it’s a great machine
I did the same with the shock. I counted out till stop. Was like 16 clicks. Then put it back in 8 clicks from all the way out. I need to get a manual or look up the KYB settings/clickers. But so far, being KYB front and rear they feel plush but Firm/plush. I have bottomed the front a couple times already. I plan on slowing the rebound, increasing the compression but hope to keep that slow speed cushiness. We’ll see
