A BOV? The B58 doesn’t have a BOV, it’s releases pressure through the engine, BMW hasn’t used a BOV in a while because they are worse for performance and efficiency than the diverted valve in the N55 and how it works in the B58.

@@lamakicker69 Honestly if you aren’t making much power it barely affects performance and it sounds good, and if you’re making a lot of power it does help boost pressure so it’s a win either way. Just not really worth any performance gain for the price.
BOV is mainly for sound if you are running stock turbo. but if you are running big boost, BOV helps with boost pressure surge

The B58 doesn’t have a blow off valve…BOV ruin performance because it releases all the boost which causes turbo lag.
I would liked to hear it under a load to get that pressure built up and release it into atmosphere

Big boosts BOV attaches to the charge pipe to release pressure.
