RAMP is a community project running in June, aimed at encouraging beginners to try mapping for Doom! Anyone is welcome to join, and I would love to see what you make.

Thanks for playing my map! You are absolutely correct on my map's name. It's supposed to be "Keep It Simple Stupid" since that was the design philosophy I eventually kept in mind when creating this map. My previous attempts at making a map were overly complicated and I ended up scrapping nearly the entire map. The only thing that remained from the original concept was the player having to board a ship in order to end the level.
It appears you might be playing an older version of my map though. I added some extra details in the map and I added an extra step in the control room so you can actually see the gates being lowered and raised. Now that you mention it though, I really should add in some fences next to the water. That would make the non-passable linedefs over there make sense. I'll have to make the necessary adjustments.

Wait, are you playing on the old snapshot? Just noticed that all the levels you completed before are shown as conpleted here which is only possible with one save... and one version... Seems like a part of my "Infusion" level will be old and lazy looking🥲
I would wager a guess that as a lot of RUclipsrs record a bunch of videos in one session and stagger them out later to keep yt active, that it was probably new at the time but if you're worried about not getting your latest map version in this, then maybe dont remove the work in progress tag until you are super duper extra done
@@ClippyClippington It wasn't WIP at all when the series of playthroughs started, I just noticed that I don't really like one part of it, so I changed it just a little. It's not like it really matters, it just looks better
Ah, still, always make sure you're really ready to go and super satisfied with your creation and things like this won't happen haha, anytime I submit a map I never change it, but im hardcore

Oh yeah the art is a reference to the "setpiece" of the map, the yellow key room, with the hanging bodies hooked up to the computers
That was also my first map that I made back in 2022, I only spruced it up a bit and made some secrets more noticeable. And yeah I used a vanilla format, which explains the misaligned floor textures
