- Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Today we are doing the highly requested Thrusters and Glitches Only race. Usually the one rule that is standard across almost every single race is "no thrusters no glitches". Today we can't use any other form of power or steering except thrusters and glitches. This race highlights some of the reasons why we tend to avoid these things...

It's understandable why they don't allow thrusters and glitches, but it's so satisfying to just watch creations glide over the terrain.

Do a "No lift" challenge. Make a track, where you easily flip over, and make cars that can either drive upside down, or self right using flipping mechanisms

I was kinda scared for what would happen in this; I play scrap mechanic and know how broken the game can get if you have too many glitches. The race turned out better than I expected. I expected the game to entirely break instead of just glitching into a tree at the end and whatever happened to kAN.
it would have been way more funny if they had it on 0 physics

This Monday I woke up ate my 1000$ breakfast then hanged out with my totally real firends then I went on a date with my girlfriend that lives in my imagination then I made some flying cars that use thrusters and glitches and now am going to sleep how about you :)

Some people remember the rocket sled race when someone (no spoilers) seemed to be winning and then someone (no spoilers) just plowed through at the very end, this one was just as close. Also this might be a bit of a mega episode but what if you had to race and make one universally usable creation in Trailmakers and Scrap mechanic but you have to use parts that are in both games.

This is actually the second multiplayer Monday race that they decided to break their cardinal rules. The last one was the no rule race. And that crashed kan's computer

Idea for a future MM: Use the modded Tank Tracks and Tank Engine, but increase the engine speed at certain intervals; whether that's at a checkpoint or a period of time is up to you

EDIT: No glitch stabilization, no glitch welding? I'm surprised! Well, not surprised Kan used all the glitches in his repertoire, but surprised SM didn't. Wish there had been more.
doesn't glitch welding require the modification of game files?
@@blockstacker5614 No idea. The only glitch welding I've been able to do is with suspension. I saw on RUclips a guy showing how using bearings you can place a suspension on a block, create an out-branched arm on a bearing, and then taking the contraption off your lift, rotating the bearing arm with your hammer, and then after adding another suspension on the point that sits above your other suspension when you put it back on the lift the positions go back to default causing the two suspensions to be glitched over each other . then you just weld. I've used it to keep my motorcycle and a survival flyer level. I was kind of hoping these experts would show more cool stuff like that. I like glitches, but I'm not confident enough to mess with game files :P, plus there's bending the rules and breaking and editing game files feels more like breaking the rules to me.
Moombo gave me an idea for another MPM: Stunt competition, where you get points for most flips and for landing upright, furthest jumps, etc
The wheels are land pontoons! Moobo definitely gets the style points, even if he wasn't able to participate in that absolutely splendid photo finish.

mechanic race ... the cars have a timer that causes them to break down during the race and u got to fix them as quick as possible to continue the race... like timer bombs then using yr spare parts chest repair the damage
each person adds one break down(time bomb) to everyones car so u have 3 in total... so u either replace the missing parts using yr limited amount or try salvage them
Maybe you can pick out your most viewed MM and do a double the build time challenge. Loving the vids, keep up the great work!
You know how artist will do a speed draw? Have you guys considered doing a week where you have as much time as you want to build your vehicle then bring it with you to the Monday challenge? You could redo an old favorite challenge but with your ideal build? I dunno, I know you take extra time when you need it but no stress unlimited build time seems like it could be a fun modifier.

MM IDEA: y’all should do a thing that moobo can at least come in second place in lol! Or at least keep a ticker and every time he looses he gets a little bit more of an advantage on the next Monday.
This has gotta become a monthly event or something, so much fun to watch, amazing work scrapman and friends 👏
Multiplayer mondays idea: most stunts with glitches like what moonbo's thing do in the vid. back flip spin and others have a special amount of points like for each back flip gives 2 point and if it's done 2x mid air it will gives 1 (so every mid air back flip after the first one gives 3 points). for spin 2 spin = 1 point and no extra point. you could add the rest scrap man and ppl can reply to my comments about points and ideas for each stunts. :)
Consider building a multiplayer Monday trophy rack and color the trophy accordingly every Monday and save it on the workshop. That way you guys can keep score of winnings in every episode - and show off 😁

Creature powered race. Everyone makes 1 vehicle and you have races based on what creature (robot, wok, glowing, etc) you use!
Teamwork race, everyone makes a part of the vehicle, could mix it up, for example instead of front middle back or left middle right you could do bottom middle top. Afterwords you weld them together with no knowledge of the other builds before this and then you have to work together in a race.
Honestly this is kinda refreshing, glitch content seemed to go down on RUclips after the wanderbot days
Suggestion for Trailmakers multiplayer: A set of basic races with low-power cars, except each race one of the players gets to use a vastly overpowered vehicle without part restrictions to delay the finishing of 1st place for as long as possible using any mean.
As the saboteur will allways bother players further ahead more, tightly packed contestants are ensured throughout each race.
When the last race is over, the finishing time of everybodys saboteur run is ranked and scored like a race, with the saboteur causing the slowest time ranking first.
Before the total scores are announced each player will get one point to award to the saboteur who they felt was the most fun / interresting to put up with as a racer.
I thought you dudes learned your lesson from the last time you did something like this!
Scrapman's vehicle here is so satisfying to watch as it just glides and drifts through the terrain.
You should do something like this in
trail makers because you can use pistons to pull block to be in the same block to make it more confined
I was dying from laughing so hard watching Kan basically fly into the air, pick a direction, and just "Zooom!" Gone 🤣🤣
I'd love to see a No glitch, Thruster torque only Multiplayer monday.
The idea is that for each thruster you have on the vehicle, you must have another thruster attached to the same subpart, facing the opposite direction and on same control, same power so the pair of thrusters create a rotation.
I don't really know what kind of vehicle can work with that. Maybe a massive wheel tank steering vehicle, or maybe a kind of hamster ball.
How about a multi-stage race where there are checkpoints where the conditions significantly change, (e,g, going from a flatish drifting course to rockhopping to a drag race to a barrier breach). At each checkpoint there are garages where you can modify your vehicles but the clock doesn't stop.
Do you build a Jack-of-all-trades that doesn't need to stop? Do you spend some of your free building time making modular parts you can quickly swap in? Do you design something that will be quick to do changes from scratch to?
Imagine a race but with really dificult shortcuts. Like a complement.

ScrapMan was approx. 20 frames behind there.
Which with this video running at 60fps.
There was a delay of a mere 0.3s.
For comparison, a blink is between .1 or .4 seconds.
So that was a literally blink-and-you'll-miss-it ending.
Scrap Mechanic Strongman Contest: Who can build the strongest limited bearings contraption that can't be welded to the ground? Feats can include: Metal Cube Toss (this should be about consistency, so average the throws), Tree Lift (type of tree is up to y'all, how high can it be lifted), and Hour Glass Fill (fill a giant hourglass with spawnable objects, this will be about maintenance of form and position).

Here are a few ideas:
Do only mods/vanilla with a the limited amount of parts. Ex: 200 Wood blocks, 6 bearings, ext.
Do a team race as a train / snake, one person builds the front, someone the middle, and the rear.
Evolution: Just in Scrap Mechanic like how it was in Trailmakers.

Idea: Unconventional vehicle race. You find an Unconventional way of moving a vehicle and make a vehicle with it. Then race it with the others. Ex: a car that front-flips to move forward, back-flips to move back, and barrel rolls for steering.

Please make another video with those creations. But you all use the same vehicle for fairness. Each of the builds in three races, or how ever many you see fit. That looked like alot of fun. Thanks for reading this. love you guys
Next episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday should be about unconventional tank designs made with cardboard. Maybe trying to go past a field of tapebots or fighting eachother
An idea is to make a vehicle that has the mechanic that allows you to flip it over very easily however the limitation is you cannot use thrusters.
The goal of the challenge is to see how long before the car can no longer get back up after being knocked over

I have an idea for a race; passenger seat only race, you would only be able to use the passenger seat, which means; you would have to use buttons to control your vehicles, which would be all kinds of wonky
Old School: redo the first Multiplayer Monday episode, but you can only use blocks that weren't in the game back then, except for bearing. Hope you have fun!

Scrapman never hooked in the back thrusters - he was going 2/3 of his speed.
Dumb idea: Catapult Golf. Basically golf but you yeet the ball. Making it a race could make things a little tense. However no clue how good or bad this idea would be but it'll probably need plenty of distance to make up for the fact that you can throw balls extremely far

Idea for Survival Saturdays (if you want it that is) : Each player must get materials and then build their creation! Whoever wins the competition wins, what do you think would happen.

I have an idea for a challenge; how about a high speed flying race without the wings mod? You have to like, fly through hoops to eventually get to the finish line which is also a hoop. Maybe for an extra challenge, add tape bots that try to shoot you down on the way?

MM with completely impractical vehicles, like who can go from one long side of the river to the other with pistons or no mod paddles.
i like moonbo's creation, it has early 2000's wacky racing game vibes
you should do a changeable where you make a challenge then a vehicle to do said challenge but khan and mombo do the same then you combine all three challenges and see whos vehicle can do the best in all three for example khan builds a race scrapman builds a log throw and mombo builds an obstacle course
Looks like it went fine to me, most of your challenges have theme related restrictions that will mellow things out a little anyway.
How about a completely ruleless challenge? Like do whatever you want, blow up others creations if you really want to or make something that goes insanely fast. You could do this in stages like evolution where you try to counter what others came up with

The obvious request in my opinion after watching this is:
Moonbo's biggest wheels challenge without thrusters and glitches!
You should do a 'mods only' race, where each person gets to add say 2 different mods, so you all have the same mods to build with, but you can only use modded parts. another idea would be a race where you can sabotage other players, so you have to concentrate on armor and weapons as well as speed

I think why he is so fast is because that when you have both a thruster that gives you forward thrust in one that gives you down thrust they make your creation go into super speed like the Brent batch flyer I've been watching scrap mechanic videos for many years I seen this a lot I was actually originally going to say how long but if I said that he do a bit of math it would give away my actual age.
I feel bad for poor moonbo stuck at the rear not even close to the end while the others are already done and messing around round at the Finish line. At least the vehicle reminded me of a character from twisted steel
