  • In this Scrap Mechanic video I give my crate loader a stress test, my train has its speed trimmed for the most reliable speed, Now much faster. I have modified my crate unloading system, with taller walls, the wedge has also been enlarged.
    Notes for this video.
    This track is completely flat. Its why the crates are high on the loading platform and the drop off is high in the air with the trading platform.
    At the packing station there is 3 crate types selected, Carrots, Beets, Tomatoes, all loading at the same time (staggered quantities in the holding bins) Making the creates launched closer together. It can run slightly faster ;-)
    The train and platform have colour coded sensors to make sure the train is in position before loading. The train has a colour sensors in the front left to control the side and rear gates. At the loader and trade platform.
    *At the trading platform the higher speed leads to its own troubles. Higher walls and longer wedge to make sure all the crates are removed regardless of position in the train. And the new faster speed.

    The "crowning achievement" in SM, and yours is amazing! Nothing scrap about it, I'm very impressed. Going to borrow many concepts from you, thanks for the inspiration!

      I have just made a tutorial. I also explain the more important features. Like double block high rails. Runners for suspension

    I see ur using a mod, but is the train fully vanilla?

    • @GuardianOz
      @GuardianOz  2 месяца назад +2

      The tracks and train are fully vanilla. The mod is fant mod. I mainly use the "Show tile" command to show when and were cells will load. Eg sensors on the track to trigger switches can't be too far away.

    once i tried buuilding a rail like that but the whole world started lagging

    • @GuardianOz
      @GuardianOz  21 день назад +1

      Yeah. I keep making new worlds for the same issues. Hard lessons. Dive rails in to sections. On this build the train needs solid blocks. Loose crates are evil. LOL

      @@GuardianOz so if i leave 1-2 block spaces every few meters it will lag less ?

    • @GuardianOz
      @GuardianOz  20 дней назад

      @@hristogradinarski3799 You can leave 1 one block gap. More important is where legs are. One leg and gap per cell (256 Blocks) one of my latest videos shows my bridges.

    It would probably be better to use gas engines because they have about seven times more torque than the electric engines.
    Electric engines can go faster but because of the weight you have they are going pretty slow.

    • @GuardianOz
      @GuardianOz  Год назад +3

      Electric engines stop as soon as you lift off the peddle. Gas engines roll, the roll makes it harder to line up for loading. There is enough torque with the electric engine, All the crates smash against the rear gate. The issue at the platform is tire contact goes down on corners. Speed wise, any faster and you derail. Especially with crates on top into the tight corners.

      Phisics Simple 8 with no foliage. I had the foliage off when I was scouting for a better farm location (flatter) I have now fixed the rail *2 blocks tall to run on advanced.

    can u make the Train automatic

    • @GuardianOz
      @GuardianOz  Год назад +2

      No. But Yes kind-of using mods. Scrap Mechanic uses a tile system. The tiles around the player are loaded. You can automate the system, using a Mod to load tiles of the packing station, all the tiles along the track then the tiles at the trading platform including the lake. With some lag already showing on my computer, loading that many tiles at the same time, I not even sure it would be possible. Next video?

    gas engine has more torque

    • @GuardianOz
      @GuardianOz  3 месяца назад

      Torque ratings in SM go, gas -> electric -> controllers. To top and start accurately at the station you need an electric engine.
