(So the creation would also need to be able to turn left and right) No wheels, because the creation itself wouldn't move. Kind of like a turret or something

The vehicle will have to jump and front flip, one jump = 1 point, one flip + jump = 2 points. So you can get up to two points per round and the last one to hit the hurdles wins!

kAN's childhood sounds nice. When ever I did a slip 'n slide back in the day, the point wasn't to run into obstacles that were intentionally put at the END of the slide. The point was to not be the one to find the sprinkler heads that dad forgot about when he was putting down the 25 ft (7.2 m) thing! It was all fun and games until you were full pelt sliding down the thing and then, "Crack!" That would be the sound of either you breaking the plastic sprinkler head and starting the flood of the yard or your wrist or some other bone crumpling due to it being bent wrong on impact with the stupid thing.

Can make the targets smaller or worth more points. Can make a bullseye style target as well. Not sure how doable it is with scrap mechanic physics but it could be hilarious.

Maybe a variation could be to have explosives on the vehicle and have a race with marked slip and slide points where you have to fold your wheels to get to the other side Another variation could be to play pong with a frictionless puck with a drag reducer. Could make vehicles to intercept it and hit it back and forth

Transform this into a jump. You can retract your wheels whenever you want. Each level the hub you are trying to pass through gonna have different altitude.

It's been a little while sense you've done the teaser at the beginning of the video. It's a bit nostalgic. I also love the editing you did like with Kosmo "saying" Bonjour and the screen going black with a slap sound effect when you got hit by the wheel. Also, you should do this again, but with planes instead of sliding.
