- Pole climbing challenge in Scrap Mechanic but done automatically! Today we are back in multiplayer Monday with a difficult pole climbing challenge! Since we had a bunch of extra build time I decided to also automate the challenge to ensure we could clutch that W and get the victory royale with cheese.

You could also add a piston ob the bottom claw, so you climb double as fast.

Speaking of which, one of the things I struggle with is creating less chaotic builds when it comes to the connection tool. I have been looking through a lot of your videos, but haven’t seen any tutorials as of yet that go into details about how you keep various controllers, bearings, and other items straight when trying to design. I’d love to see one if you’re willing. :)

I legit got scared when he looked down. I'm scared of heights.
i feel like kan in this challenge just used common sense and just said "alright lets just put some pipes at a piston and we win"
it could be quicker if he added more lvls to it. so each level it would clamp and the next would already be going upwards and repeat. would make for release since he will have multiple clamps and the lower level clamps can release while the piston is contracting. at 4 levels it could probably climb without even stopping once.
I think thats why the guy in the middle won in the end

Guys, pls do an automated/RC race, where everyone builds 2 cars, an automated car and a RC car that you control from the automated car.

I know this is 3 years too late but you should try putting more pistons on top of each other so instead of going up one length of piston per cycle you go up a lot more
We had an unspoken rule where you were only allowed 1 piston per extension just to keep it as fair as possible.

Wall climbers with your exploding engine as down thrust
What is this game and why does the physics in it actually work? In any other game where you can build your own vehicle, not using a part exactly the way it was meant to be used will result in your creation either falling throught the floor and completely leaving this plane of existance or flying around at mach 10, waving around more than a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man in a tornado. Somehow (even though my anus was fully clenched from start to finnish) the game let you climb that pole without any problems at all, not even making your climbing machine vibrate or anything. No other game would let you squeeze on to a pole with two engines on either sides pushing against eachother for over 15 minutes without even a single stutter. Simply amazing.

Is it just me or when he gets close to the top and he moves the camera the pole looks like it's leaning/falling slowly.
You should use a piston mod pack that has a really long piston that can go up to about 250 blocks and then you would be done ✅ in no time!
The others would be amazed
What you’re looking for is called the mod pack and it requires more complex logic that is more Kan’s specialty and would be unfair to the others.

You could just have the piston extend multiple layers of piston all the way to the top, then grip, then pull yourself up like a entire elevator.
Or simply have a piston under you that pushes you all the way up.
it would be unstable if it was longer so it might tip over
