Great work, Nick! People can hate on products that fill...but for a job like this, you can’t beat it! I’m doing this on s job next week for an older ladies car that I know they don’t want to pay for a polish.
Spray sealants and waxes have become so much more better than what they were back in the day and more efficient to use. But there is always something about letting these old school products haze up and when you wipe it off....pop!!! It’s like getting a pat on the back for a job well done. I’ve always used Rejex as my go to sealant, but your video has inspired me to try this Jescar powerlock brand. Cheers!
Right? The spray products are great, and everywhere, but I love jescar. Haven't used it in at least a year but the fillers leave the paint looking so gorgeous
The ultimate question is when is DIY going to reverse engineer that stuff to have its own version. 😁 Every lineup should include a good thick sealant that is that effective. Been using the stuff for years.
Why would anybody have a car with paint that bad and not want it corrected? Blows my mind. Surely after seeing what it could look like he went with correction.
As a customer I totally get using a sealant with filler over say some wash induced marring or spiderwebs, but I could NEVER justify it used over buffer trails or swirls. Gotta get rid of those first.
Great product Nick. I’ve been using powerlock for a while. Now you need to put a collinite 845 wax as a sacrificial layer. I feel like the new spray sealants don’t last longer. You’ll love the results, specially your client.
+Apollo86 I’ve heard great things about collinite 845 wax! I didn’t put a topper on the Jag - she looks nice but I wonder how long durability is compared to spray sealant for example. Are you a pro detailer? When do you use power lock and how do you sell it?
If you want to use this product to its full potential apply in with a medium or soft buffing pad on your da polisher, and apply it that way. Let sit for 20 to 30 mins n wipe off. It’s easy and you correct the paint and polish at the same time.
Hawk Pro Detailing Say 3 hours or so. obsessed garage did a spot on best practices regarding the use of the combo ruclips.net/video/kvwr0tnd-yQ/видео.html
Is the bessst polymer sealer Ive ever tried!! Its awesome.. I used the wolfgang deep gloss 3.0 too... but jescar is way ahead...worth every penny! I do 2 coats everytime...
@@HawkProDetailing It happend later in the day. If you went over the surface with ONR I bet you're fine. Nothing that couldnt be fixed, but I sure did feel like a hack that day haha.
Using a foam applicator pad whether by hand or DA would have made application and removal much easier because unlike the microfiber applicator, a foam pad would apply the sealant much thinner and more evenly.
try a buff and shine foam applicator. Real easy and smooth. Takes me about 2 minutes to do the whole car. Powerlock should be applied in a very light coat. It is even easier to remove.
+Mark Rowe yeah the hand method wasn’t ideal lol. I just left the polisher and pads at home for this detail...but still turned out nice. Just more work. Too much product for one
What brand earmuffs do you recommend for hand application of Jescar Powerlock? OK done jokin. The car looked amazing. bout to get some Powerlock and finish it with 845. Thanks!
any other mckees products you want me to try? I'm going to review some of their products...since I just tried their rubber floor mat rejuvenator and loved it I wanted to see what else they make
you can, if you want. you can also run into the street naked or eat ice cream for breakfast. It's a free country:) nah it's not a big deal...but a coating will have best longevity when it bonds with the pores of your clear coat...essentially it's going to be on top of a sealant, instead of the clear coat...and that's where I stop pretending I'm a chemist lol. but I know it's not how they designed it and it won't have the durability they advertise
Can I put beadmaker over this as a refresher/drying aid? What else do you recommend for just an average joe that wants long lasting protection? Also do I need to claybar a 1 year old car before applying?
+Gusted totally! (Beadmaker question) Clay - you Should clay as needed. When you see deposits or can feel them. It comes with time to know what you’re looking for
Thank you so much The reviews are top notch And you confirmed Now how does losing effectiveness , Let me explain , rain , wash, sun very hot sun all these things affect the lasting , I guess if park outside But but if I used the car one a week and keep in the garage do you thing last more time? Or still Is a manner of time will definitely loss the sealing Thank you in advance
+flavin flavio if you park your car in the garage every night, I truly believe it’s the best thing you can do for your paint. Do that, plus keep up on safe washes for the vehicle....and apply protection as often as you want.
You didn't mention the slickness, which IMO is another huge plus of this product. The feel is unmatched. At first I was topping with meguiars ceramic wax, but turtle wax seal and shine is a better product IMO as a topper. More gloss and almost the slickness of powerlock.
+police_state well I was so excited about the filling properties of the sealant that I didn’t even mention slickness lol, seems like a lot of people love to top this product. Collinite is the favorite - but I’ve never tried it
I love that stuff , but your using way to much. That’s why it’s sticky and harder to take off. It goes a long way so use sparingly I use a foam pad to apply it
I will say like some others...you put too much product. It does not change the final result but your wallet will go thin if you do many cars :o). By the way it is a good video I enjoy it. This is the sealant I use for my customers. The only difference after the sealant I apply Colonite 845 ( wax) it goes very well with that sealant. Try it one time to see the result.Continue the good work. I like looking at your video.
Hawk Pro Detailing really brings out a great look to my paint. So many aspects of this product call to me I don’t see me ever stepping away from it. I use others as well but man that one is a hard hitter
The problem with using hand application vs DA application, you are applying way too much product that actually don't bond to the paint! Just wasted product and more time to remove for no additional benefit!!!
+Walter Gray thanks man. The stuff is really good but it’s such a pain, I feel like it’s hard to upsell it so I just use it when I feel like it lol. And by “such a pain” I just mean more work than a spray sealant
Dude you use way too much. This is used in conjunction with Menzerna products. I use Menzerna and Jescar/Powerlock on all my Mercedes. This is what is used in the factory.
*Good **MyBest.Tools** power and rpm control.*
4:30 That’s what she said.
How long does the filler last, before you start to notice the marking?
Great work, Nick! People can hate on products that fill...but for a job like this, you can’t beat it! I’m doing this on s job next week for an older ladies car that I know they don’t want to pay for a polish.
+Ben Runkel I’m starting to appreciate fillers more and more:)
If you love Power Lock, apply Colinite 845 over it.
I use this and collonite 476

Good work man, it turned out great! I definitely feel for you doing that by hand....no fun at all 😄
+The Detail Geek thanks man! I love fillers lol

Can you seal the windows with this product?
Good lord you used enough to do 5 cars.
+J.T. Blair yes I did😂
I agree but it’s all good we all love eachother
More like 10 cars!
Definitely need to add a layer of Collinite 845 over the Power Lock +. Perfect synergy
I keep hearing that...how much time in between layers?
Hawk Pro Detailing Say 3 hours or so. obsessed garage did a spot on best practices regarding the use of the combo ruclips.net/video/kvwr0tnd-yQ/видео.html
Great stuff. The thinner application the better. 3 hours cure time. Follow up with second coat.
Don’t second coat per Manufacturer it will just remove the first coat. Straight from their head Chemist
Will this work for headlights? After a restoration job?
Do you discard the applicator after use or can you wash it?
CN you put a spray wax over top
Is the bessst polymer sealer Ive ever tried!! Its awesome.. I used the wolfgang deep gloss 3.0 too... but jescar is way ahead...worth every penny! I do 2 coats everytime...
Is it sun friendly?
Bro that looks so good. What prep did you use?
Cure time after removing product?
How do I get these off textured plastic trimming? Thanks
IPa or degreaser full strength on rag then rub on. NOT responsible for damage lol but those can work
Power lock is great, only issues I've run into when over applying is it can sweat and look like you didnt buff of the sealant properly.
+Sean Cody does that happen after you’ve buffed it off? Like a week later? Or right away
@@HawkProDetailing It happend later in the day. If you went over the surface with ONR I bet you're fine. Nothing that couldnt be fixed, but I sure did feel like a hack that day haha.
Man that looks reeeeeeeeal good! I'm soooo impressed with this!
+Xycan it’s a fantastic product for sure-just kind of gets lost in the shuffle with all the new stuff out there
Using a foam applicator pad whether by hand or DA would have made application and removal much easier because unlike the microfiber applicator, a foam pad would apply the sealant much thinner and more evenly.
Used power lock 2 years ago, on my pickup, didnt realize that i needed to put a wax coat over it....still beads water to this day!...
try a buff and shine foam applicator. Real easy and smooth. Takes me about 2 minutes to do the whole car. Powerlock should be applied in a very light coat. It is even easier to remove.
Thanks man! Still one of the greatest products ever in my opinion:)
Love da power lock. DA all the way for application though. It smells serious too
+Mark Rowe yeah the hand method wasn’t ideal lol. I just left the polisher and pads at home for this detail...but still turned out nice. Just more work. Too much product for one
What does it smell like ?
What brand earmuffs do you recommend for hand application of Jescar Powerlock? OK done jokin. The car looked amazing. bout to get some Powerlock and finish it with 845. Thanks!
Lol I have yet to try collinite after but everybody raves about it👍
Would like to see Mckee's 37 Hi Def Paint Sealant.

do I have to strip off old wax to use this product
if there is any, yes
Wolfgang makes a similar product that is excellent also.
It comes with time to know what you’re looking for
You can put Beadmaker on top
I top it with Collinite 845 then use Beadmaker after a maintenance wash
Thank you so much
The reviews are top notch

Why not put on a ceramic cote?
10x cheaper for you and the client
Definitely one of the best. I really like powerlock
+Ryan Costa so good right?! Do you think it’s worth the effort?
Hawk Pro Detailing It is, if it’s applied with a DA
Swirl Citaayyyy 😭😭😭 good video man 😁!!
+David Saucedo so swirled up right-the filling properties aren’t perfect but they are very impressive 🤓👍
Great video!
thanks! Can you imagine if I polished her all up with some of your magic polish?! Then some power lock to seal it all in:) It would have looked insane
This dude reminds me of the guy from something about Mary with the head phones
Dude. It’s Fine. It’s old school that’s how we had to do it every time. Lol
I love that stuff , but your using way to much. That’s why it’s sticky and harder to take off. It goes a long way so use sparingly
I use a foam pad to apply it

Collinite 915 would really deepen the paint after the sealant cures.
+Grizzleback07 I hear it’s pretty awesome but I also hear it can get hazy after application? What are your tips and tricks for that
845
Application in the sun, 😵
yes I am a mobile detailer and have not issues with it in the sun
That’s great stuff 🤘🏼
+Dr. Sudsy it’s so good right
Hawk Pro Detailing really brings out a great look to my paint. So many aspects of this product call to me I don’t see me ever stepping away from it. I use others as well but man that one is a hard hitter
+Dr. Sudsy 🤘
Machine application reduce the amount of work and also less product is used. I stopped applying waxes and sealants by hand long time ago.
+Fawad Hassan totally. After doing it by hand, I agree! I left the polisher at home that day but really wanted to use power lock
Huh that's funny I feel like doing it by hand you would waste less product? But I guess I'll give it a go by machine this time instead!
The problem with using hand application vs DA application, you are applying way too much product that actually don't bond to the paint! Just wasted product and more time to remove for no additional benefit!!!
Why do you have that car baking in the sun.
Mobile detailing...it's a grind and sometimes ya just gotta get er done. Also i wanted to show you the swirls...
Jesus man you used enough on the first application to do 1/2 the car, and your a detailed?
Great video boss.

You didn’t show the panels in detail afterward; you quickly panned over them. I’m not convinced.
you should try the product and it will convince you!! seriously
WTF is Jagwire?
I'm guessing that's a dig at my American pronunciation lol
Jag-“wire” 🤦🏼♂️
😊
Probably be much better off not applying in the sun
Direct sun is rough 😕
Lol "jag wire"
That’s all you use power lock
Omg man!!! Way too much product !!
So true🤣
Holy Jesus you are using wayyyyyyyyy too much.
Did you just say JagWIRE?!
You are using way too much product, what a waste!
