You have the BEST tutorial on this. I am a novice..I know nothing of dismantling electronics, but after studying ur video 2 to 3 times, I didn't feel the dread, or anxiety all the other videos make you feel...they make the task feel like it's brain surgery. It felt good to fix my kids switch..thank u for this tutorial!

Dear Mr the fix. It worked. My 5 year old who plays fortnight like a 10 year old dropped it last week and broke. We ordered the 14 buck kit from Amazon. Took us just under 2 hours to complete. She did the fixing while I controlled the pause and rewind for this video. We did step by step didn't miss a beat and u saved me from having to buy him a new one. Only thing I would say it having a pair of needle nose with plastic on ends of it that helped us a lot. Thanks very much for your detailed video. My wife and I are not good with things like this

@@BruoBrnoyou should consider games like fortnite to kids mind isnt about violence. Cod, zombie games are one, but in fortnite everyone is occupied to win, to build higher, to heal, to get better loot. Never once in my life I considered games with that graphic violent and I first started playing game with guns at the age of 7

I tried everything, same procedure and process as the one that works. I reinstalled the old ones to see if that was it and still no power. No loose connections, no damage to the cables, added new thermal paste to both of them. Is there any reason why this happened? I even tried all the methods. Charging it, doing the power + low volume method. Nothing works. Could it be the battery? Previously the battery would drain pretty quick compared to the one that works. Do you think when I disconnected the battery it just gave out?

      Really?

Not really, but it’s still a good idea since Nintendo uses cheap thermal paste that doesn’t cover the whole chip lol

Chips in phones are better than this. I think he good lol

@@RichieLanderos its not a phone... its a game system, which means of course, its going to be running intensively whenever its running, because what do you do on a game system other than game (and hulu and youtube on the switch maybe). And thermal paste is ALWAYS required for ANY cpu. Ive never met a cpu that you could run without it.

@@itswiddow5039 it is more efficient in cpu than v1, it surely below what termal paste can do

While "unplugging the speaker. The attachment seems to have broken and now it can't be reattached. I reassembled every other part and switch will turn on but display doesn't come on. I can hear sound effects that indicate switch is on but no display sadly. It seems the joystick is working well though, without the display it is useless .....
