Holy shit dude. This guy surfs like tom curren!!!! Closest I've ever seen anyone come to that curren style! Must've studied curren to the max! What a master!!!

I've been confused lately about which board is more fun for me: my 6'0 fish or my 5'10 Vader - I keep going back and forth. Even was thinking briefly about maybe getting a Pyzel after watching the Jordy Smith Stab in the dark. Thanks so much for this. I'm gonna scrape some wax off it and go back out on my Vader next time! LOL! I love it. I don't need another board honestly. I just need to get better on my Vader. I love your graceful figure 8 style, and its really nice and re-affirming to see another video of someone surfing really well on a Vader. Thanks again!

Stoked you enjoyed this. We'll pass that on to Richard! We dig his style too. One of the most fun guys to watch around La Jolla.

Jeremy Littlefield - fuck the pyzel dude, go get an Evo or an Omni, they are just magical. Pyzel's stuff is, honestly, old fashioned for an everyday surfer. I'm sure its great if your are JJF, but compared to an LFT Omni it just feels like 2001, not 2018.

@@timblizzard4226 ik they probably weren't even released when this comment was posted but I'd say the cymatic or scifi 2.0 are better performance boards for the everyday surfer, especially the scifi 2.0.
The omni is a very sensitive, punchy wave board despite its outlines appearance

@@sebastianclerey3207 I disagree dude. I've had the omni go well in everything. I find it really easy to surf. The rocker is relaxed and the round tail alows for nice smooth turns. I didnt find it overly twichy at all. How big was yours? Do you tend to surf down in volume?

I'm 6', 83kg, used to surf competitively, but a weekend warrior for the last 12yrs. I've surfed my 5'7 Vader in everything from knee high beachies to 8' ft maxing Supertubes (J-bay). It goes in everything and the closest to a complete quiver killer you'll ever find. It's not a high performance board, but it's super fast, holds the rail on any size wave and is super fun to ride. Definitely needs some time to get fully tuned into it, but once there, no other board is as much fun. Just picked up a used 5'6, floats well, feels great in the chest high beachie I surfed. Have a 5'5 Evo, surfed it in all kinds of conditions, average to slightly crap board.

Fell in love with a 5 5 vader too, got a 5 3 evo later and do find it impressive but still love the vader more!

Ok Ok .... got one of the last Vaders on sale....went 6'1 as I am bigger ...210lbs.... Drank the kool aid of this video....taking it to Fiji for extended cruise ....really hoping as I approach 50 years old that this is my ticket to my younger days.... we shall see.. normally ride a huge big boy thruster..7'10 .... so this thing will be sparkly for sure....

I am heading to the maldives and wasn't sure about taking the dominator II, vader or Seaside and beyond. I was edging towards the SS&B as my second board but will now dust off the vader and take it with the Dominator. Nice relaxed video. Great stuff.

It's Swami's. The Firewire guy is just being nice, and John Gait is trying to steer you wrong. I'll burst the bubble I don't mind. Surf there all the time. It's too crowded anyways 24/7/365
