If I lived by you I'd be on my porch with my coffee and cigar watching the drones all the time. lol. Stay safe out there.
More cool drones under 250 grams!
And old couple were on there porch in Roswell 1947 but it wasn’t a drone they were watching but an alleged ufo.
Get you self some goggles and you could channel in haha
@@h_survivalist3876 that’s the cool thing about fpv analog. I really need to get myself one of these fpv so then I can broadcast the videos onto my tv 📺 or other media... it is more fun if others can watch the live footage.
I guess Im kinda randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to watch new series online ?
Wow Steve!
Its a superb one!
64 grams and 15 mins flying time??!?!
Impressive!
I can see future iterations of this with digital systems, two or three battery slots, better camera, and a size or two bigger. This may be what brings a lot more people into the hobby. People like simplicity. Sold in a bundle with maybe a DJI V2 goggles and a smallish transmitter it could be quite popular. Right now RTF custom built systems from places like Rotor Riot are getting more popular all the time. As always; thanks for another good review Captain Drone.
Being a Flashlight Collector. I always wondered if there would be any more Drones using these cells besides the Mavic Mini. Looks like it works very good. Hope to see more of them
Thanks Captain
We use them in a group of 4 for long range flying and they are commercially available now 👍
32nd!! Awesome fpv.. Nowadays you can buy 18650 anywhere so the battery will not be the problem..
I created a brushed micro quad with 6-in propellers that were geared down. With a single 18650 I got 23 minutes of flight time. Hovering
Nice review. This is the first review of this guy I've seen where it didn't get broken. Good job!
Now that is a cool little FPV drone buddy 👍👍👍
My man is back with a another super drone...❤️❤️❤️👍👍
Like how you mention, where there’s smoke there’s fire 🔥.
Hurry up and sell them in the UK. Always slow over here. Thanks for video Steve.Best regards from U.K.
buy it from banggood.
"You'll know you've inserted the battery correctly when you don't see any smoke" LMAO
Good morning Cap'n! Always great to start my week with another great review of another cool drone to make me want to spend my money. My wife just walked by and rolled her eyes when she saw me watching another of your videos - she says hi lol. Great job as always!
That's crazy. This is a year old, but still so cool.
Hmm, I wonder if putting a small super-capacitor in parallel with the battery might cure the "brown out" issue with an 18650?
the cell you are using seems to have a pretty high capacity and thus more voltage sag. you might even get more flight time from a smaller capacity but lower internal resistance cell like the sony vtc6 because with the cell you are using it wont be able to suck all the batteries power out of it because of the vtx and other electronics shutdowns before 2.5v
That little drone looks like fun!
Canada is so cool to let you play with your toys.
That's quite interesting I do like that it runs off an 18650 such a common battery size and easy to replace. Really cool drone, I might grab one when I can get a chance.
I did end up getting a dji mini 2 and I couldn't be happier I did not expect this drone to be as good as it is.
Mini 2 is a great camera drone!
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 yes it really is these fpv drones with the goggles are sweet too though. The only bad thing about this is I see my wallet getting smaller haha. Awesome review as always man take care.
You should try this with Samsung 30q batteries. They have a high discharge so the voltage won't sag artificially low.
I'm so glad you had the XM+ version because that's what I just ordered. Everyone seems to be using crossfire or other receivers.
If you have a drone with a 10 min or more flight time then crossfire is a good way to go, but for drones with less than 10 mins, you can't fly far before you have to turn around.
More than 50% of the pilots are using long range signal like crossfire not to do long range!
But just to have more signal penetration in bandos and florests...with crossfire is hard to have a failsave.
Xm+ is perfect for racing in a small track or freestyle but not to go farway.
@@dstepsfpv good to know, I never thought of it that way thanks!
Good review Steve. Neat little Drone.
I hope they can make a 21700 version of this because this is a very cool concept
Interesting little FPV Drone! Thank you Steve!
Wow you came very close to bird strike about 6 mins in! Hehe!
Common sense rules would never work in the US.
Using the 18650 has really got my interest in this looking into the hobby
Woah, I was just rewatching the Emachine Novice
Cool drone for sure. 💯👍🏻👍🏻
Be careful picking up cheap 18650 batteries. Some of them are nowhere near the capacity they claim. I decent 18650 will weight about 43-45 grams or so.
Coffee time and enjoy ☺️,Thank you cap
Cool fpv drone Captain Drone
Hey Capt. ur video editing is getting better and better each day. Which editing software do u use?
Below each video I list the video editing software I use.
Took my Hubsan for a flight the other day wow, what a fast flyer, and really smooth.Must admit got those arial add ons, they look like mini tv aerial’s, claim they boost the signal I don’t know if they do, but they look really cool. We should all be flying hover cars by now not driving along cracked roads
i have a small drone it packed into a controller.low flying time about 6 minutes. just got to order rekon 3 nano
So I can fly this in a Park? EXCELLENT!On my way to Banff...
reason there's no people is cuz it's 7 a.m., but I noticed the last 5 years or so everything feels like zombie apocalypse cuz everyone just sits inside staring at screens. Those of us doing outdoor hobbies like this are pretty much the survivors of the apocalypse and the rest are like mindless zombies lol
Wow I'm here in the first minute... thanks for sharing captain
When the Radio Controller is 5 times bigger than the drone hehe Good review as always Captain! :)
I just want to say I love your vids love them thanks to you I started the drone hobby
Put a loop of electrical tape on the battery, create a tab on one side. Makes it easy to remove ....
This makes the black hornet look massive, and at a fraction of the price.
Good...drone racing 👍
The drone is awesome, it is very small and reminds me of the Flywoo explorer.
Maybe, because they both are designed by the same guy, Dace_C? ;)
Love the review. but in my Windy world "this is not the drone I am looking for" . I watched the Rekon 5 Review.. loved that one as well. How about the Rekon 4 for a review.
you really needed to try it with a better battery like a high drain type 18650
Another great review Sreve you are getting me more interested in FPV, can you recomend a basic controller, and glasses to match this drone for a no nonsense set up???
I can’t really recommend this drone for a beginner because the carbon fibre arms are thin and would not survive the crashes a beginner would cause. Perhaps a beginner FPV kit like the two I recently reviewed from BetaFPV and Eachine would suit you nicely.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 have a machine 010 which I added a TX01 to, it works ok but ... I cant tolerate the 4 minute flight times..... 15 minutes would be awesome.
Super inspiring content! Haven't gotten one yet but am hoping to scrape enough money to swing one!
Great fun love the video 💯❤️👊🙏
We love this drone, and we love you
Thank you i just just ordered this drone❤️
Hope you enjoy it. I just saw that Eachine has now made a similar version.
Battery quality is going be important, what mah did you use?
Can you use the RadioMaster TX12 radio with this quad and the FRSKY XM+ receiver??????
You’re the best cap!!! Peace out ✌️😊
Very cool little drone, great review. If i'm not mistaken, i believe Dave C. was the person who created it. I 3D printed one and its gonna be my next build.
Correct.
Has 3d printed parts. I like it, besides using normal 18650 batteries
Another great video, thanks Captain!
Do they have the 21700 version? It would make this fly almost 2x longer.
muy bueno....buena edición compañero...que ganas de ir a Canadá ....
Now, *that* is a sweet little drone!
Cool video about this fpv drone Captain Drone
When i first saw this drone I was like, "Is that an 18650 battery", I'm shocked
This looks quite good! One can be called a micro drone if it sizes about a palm and flies with a coin cell battery.
Thats way the first model is called NANO.LR
Nice, but it seems a bit wobbly in flight
The thing i am waiting for to join fpv :) Common Sense is something that is not common in most parts of the world :)
How does it even fly, answer that question logically please
Great America’s rules. In Italy it is so hard….
love ya work cpt
It's like it uses a battery you put in your average torch:)
Now drones are available within 50 grams with camera
I couldn't link the drone to radiomastertx12. any tips?
Captain drone what do u recommend the SJRC F11 4K Pro OR EX4 PRO drone im about to buy a drone in morning .. THANKS .
Not all 18650 cells are equal. Buy brand name and make sure it's genuine. Top brand is panasonic but many are fake. Other brands are LG and sony. Some vape shops and online flashlight stores sell genuine cells if u r in Canada.
GREAT video my friend!
This drone going to be a spy drone
Of this AIO flight controller is rated 5A, then you wont really need a 18650 with more than 10A. I find the Babyhawk 2 HD with a 4S 18650 VTC6 pack to be a really nice long range and freestyle if you want. Better cam too. Not under 250g with 18650 pack though.
I would love to move to Canada💚
Would have been nice to put in a camera that uses a micro SD to record at the camera, should be more than a couple of grams weight penalty.
Normaly to dont add more weight we record with the goggles DVR... because in a low weight nano drone like this ONE gram can Make a diference.
I don’t have a drone yet and I been watching your (and many other) videos and this one excited me, maybe the most of all so far, cheap easy and I have a bunch on 16850’s because I vape, lol. I’m not not sure what controller to get and if I will get fat sharks or another brand yet. I’m still unclear after many videos on controllers and remotes. Thanks!
really cool drone
My question is, what happens if you make it 2s li-ion 18650?
It gets too heavy with two 18650. Then you need to match bigger motors, frame ect.
Great flying Steve, where’s the best place to purchase this bird. All the best buddy
The links below the vid give you the best locations at this time.
wouldn't it be better to use like aa battery or aaa because that one is pretty big and heavy
voltage would be compicated though, maybe 3x triple a batteries lol I think I see the issue
Hello I just don't know why the motors don't spin, any ideas?
Obviously you do not have it setup and bound correctly.
I want one soooo bad
That Efest 3500mah 10A/20A battery wasn't up to the job. Voltage was sagging too low and gave a pretty short flight. I recommend the 3000mah 20A/35A version for longer flight times. Or the Sony VTC6 3000mah 15A/30A as recommended by HGLRC.
Can you run two 18650 tapped together and wired in parallel or will the drone fly terrible?
@@EVO1087R No, too heavy. At least one manufacturer has tried that configuration but with different components and they don't fly well. There are reviews of it on the tube here somewhere.
That's nice
I love your channel
Thank you!
Look up battery mooch on RUclips he does battery testing for vaping but I would assume he would be able to tell you what battery would be the best!!!
What happens if you put the battery in backwards? I feel like that would be something I would do.
You then have a paperweight
I don't get it though
Most people times don't seem that great. I do 7mins in lipos with 3". I haven't tried li-ion. Or 1300 yet.
Awesome review as always!
Another good one. Great to see this technology growing. Because micros that just flew 3min sucks mustard
Lol
No Current Sensor on the FC #Facepalm
That's cool
nice. wish DJI or some big brand replicates something like this for decent photo/video. though a Mini 2 is cheap compared to the first Mavic Pro, drones should be cheaper so that I could use them more often and riskier shots.
You can build what you want, this model was invented By a normal guy like me or you, the brand just make a deal with him to produce this model.
His name is DaveC, now is ONE of the most famouse FPV pilot in the world with a few models in the market and working in future prototypes.
Forget dji drones! They are shit
hey friend excellent video!!
makes a video teaching how to put gps on it creating a new serial port since fc doesn't have enough port to receive the tx and rx of the gps module
That was a weird lookin sun sunrise. W-e-i-r-d
If your going to send that long range you might want to use the rssi pad on the xm and solder it to the rssi pad on the fc and set it up as analog rssi in betaflight kuz I saw you have 0 rssi! You have crossfire and the weight is close to the same and just use the stock di pole antennas on the nano rx in the l orientation if you wanna send that thimg
Also your vtx power was only pushing 200mw not 350 so fix that in the vtx table
I thought I had changed it in BETAFLIGHT, but apparently not. Next time I'll use the CLI tab.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 seems to fly well just work the kinks out and it will be a solid rig!
wonder if it's like that in u.s. prolly not tho
I like it
Great Video
Thanks!
