How to Remove Tesla Tail Lights Model 3 Y S X

Here is a How To video on removing Tesla tail lights. On some of our PPF installs we need to remove the tail lights so we can tuck the film around them. Here's how we do that.

My name is Brent and I have been an automotive window tinter since 1998 and have been installing paint protection film since 2004. In 1998 I took a 5 day class to learn the basics of window tinting. Then I started tinting cars and learning as I went. In 2004 I bought a roll of paint protection film (clear bra by 3m) and taught myself how to install it. Do I need to turn anything off in the menu before I remove the light?

No. You are fine to just remove the lights without any errors popping up. 👍😁

How do you put the cover back on? The white clip

if any of those white clips stayed on the car, just pop them out with a panel tool and then reattach them to the panel. Then to reinstall the panel you just put it in place (make sure the clips are lined up with the holes) and give the panel a bump (soft hit) with you closed fist or palm. This clips will pop right in. bump the panel over every clip and they will pop in.
