- These LED tail lights by hansshow offer a different look than the traditional stock lights by tesla. There are a couple different types of aftermarket tail lights, like the eagle eye version but I personally thought these X-treme tail lights by far look the best. These fit the rear of the tesla model 3 or tesla model Y perfectly. All cords are plug and play.

My name is Evan and if you are new here welcome, consider subscribing to my tesla channel to see future content like this. In this video I’ll show you how to install them as the cords and connectors are all plug and play. I’ll be installing these on my 2018 tesla model 3.
Looking at the contents of the box, you'll see 4 pieces for both the left and right hand side including all the plug and play connectors. Some of the tools you may need are a socket wrench with a 8 mm bit, a fish tape wire to feed the cords through the trunk compartment, a pry tool, and finally a standard crescent wrench.
X-treme appearance design with original vehicle date modeling, dynamic lines, seamless fit to the tesla. LED turn signal lamp has high brightness with movement. Brake light design forms an X for a more eye-catching design.

These look great, but I want to wait until Tesla performs the recall work on the rear wiring harness before I try installing something back there.
Wish there was a way to keep them in night mode. Love that look alot more

They are a little small but still can see fairly good both day and night
Why does the brake light flash first when you put on the turn signal
@EM Tesla: It seems like the brake light on the driver side flashes before you turn on the turn signal?? Why is that?
Hey, do you have an install video of your Hansshow power trunk? I also have a 2018 Model 3 and I’m currently installing the extreme lights. I have the hansshow power trunk installed as well but I have two chords on each side at the bottom of the trunk that are not connected to anything. Not sure if they even do anything. I believe they are purple. Awesome video btw! Hope to hear back. 👍

Hi Evan I need your help please. I live in London UK and had these exact lights installed on my 2023 Model Y. Since the install the lights work fine but on the centre console the brake lights don’t come on in the Tesla car icon. The indicator / left right signal show on the car image when activated but if I brake or re-gen brake the side brakes or the centre brake light does not illuminate. Any ideas ? Thank you
I wonder if this is a software issue as my model 3 illuminate the lights on the screen. I'm not quite sure with the Model Y to be honest.
Previous Hansshow taillights had issues with the turning signals coming on when hitting the brakes on Tesla Model 3 years 2020 and older. This does not appear to be affecting your 2018 model so I wonder why that is? Did you ever experience the Hansshow Fishbone taillights for example? I am just nervous about buying them if my 2020 will still have this issue

I had trouble with the wishbones as well. After about 3 or 4 months they started freaking out. Causing havoc with autopilot cameras, cruise control, FSD you name it. Kept saying turn signal fail.
Hey man, appreciate your videos. Do you still have these taillights in the car? Saw another reviewer say how his got water in them and that the reverse lights do not offer, if anything, worse visibility at night while reversing.
I still have them in place! No issues and no water.

@@Swaangin They are smaller than the normal reverse lights, but a still very bright at night.

Your video is vague about the wires your tracing from the trunk up through the weather seal tubing. Did you fish both wires or just the left (passenger) wire? I don’t see how the other wire is routed from the trunk lid to the tail light.
Both wires are feed through the weather seal. One for the right and left lights on the top trunk lid.
What about the fog lights?
There is a small red portion of this light that is enabled when using the fog lights.
Any idea what the blue and white cable actually does? Why does the left and right need to be connected?
They need to be connected to synchronise the startup function as is often the case with fancy after-market lights. Also older Model 3s only have 1 reverse light. Connecting both lights allows older M3s to have dual reversing lights.
I understand that is different usa model by Europe ones and wires aren't the same 🙄🤔

I bought some on eBay and the blinkers light up when the brakes come on :( might have to grab them from this site and hope they don’t

It’s got a DOT SAE IRF2 ST stamped on it. Not sure if this helps

I have a question about the instrument cluster, I’m trying to update the version and when copy the files to the thumb drive and plug it to the display it doesn’t do anything it should start the upgrade automatically right? Any advise!! I did format it to FAT32 copied the two files there is one called update and the other one it has a long name ends with .bin I think. These the files that need to be copied? Thanks in advance.
Make sure these files are not in any folders, just directly on the thumb drive. It took mine a few moments to recognize the files to update. Hope this works!

I bought a set of these off Alibaba and it didn't come with any of the wiring harness. So I got a refund on them and now am left with these without a wiring harness. How difficult would it be to make your own harness?
I would never buy on alibaba... just go through hansshow.
you cut your truck line seal... a little WD40 and a flex fish line would have done the job or some olive oil... lol thats a 60.00$ part and all it would have cost him is time...
I already had by auto trunk wires going through that... there was not enough room.
