Strange behaviour from the daughter. She needs to understand her mother more. Should’ve called the police on the grandparents for intruding or trespassing on property. Or send the daughter off to live with the grandparents to see what he mother had it like, she might understand it more. He had the right to scream at his daughter, but the daughter clearly got manipulated by the grandparents. Daughter understands her actions and the punishment fits the cause. Being 16 and not understanding this is immature behaviour, honestly strange.

As a disabled person myself, that girl is burned out, and I dislike her behavior too, but she was denied a childhood or being a teenager because of the consequences of the actions of her mother, she was a child, and even though she should help, she should not be the caretaker. Let alone the money that was rightfully hers, the mother and the father of the baby are the ones with the responsibility to pay for that daughter, not the child support that was for op, op also mentioned how her mother would take her stuff without asking and sell them. That is not fair at all with her, she also deserves a life and a childhood, not to be responsible for other adults mistakes

@@kaylahall1219 Truth, but as far as we know the mother has not been abusive with the disable daughter, and no one else is willing to take care of her or apparently even help, the mother burned all her bridges herself, and regardless of the country, leaving her in the hands of the state is not the best option. Also, depending on the country, the mother can get a paternity test and demand child support for the rest of the life of the daughter.

I wouldn’t worry about it, sometimes kids make mistakes, and sometimes their really fucking big ones, but all you can do is do your best to raise them right, and that kid should be fine. That’s also a part of parenting unfortunately, kids are, at the end of the day, still people with free will, they will do stupid shit, but you just have to hope and pray that they’ll turn out just fine. And if you’re good parent (as I’m sure you will be), then your kid should turn out great

I’m so sorry to read this… The one thing I don’t understand after all your suffering you still believe in god, I respect everyone’s beliefs/religion but being raised atheist while learning about religions across the world, I still can’t understand why people do believe in god. If he does exist, then why does he let all those terrible things happen to good, kind and innocent people? I’ve tried to figure it out for 20 yrs now and I still don’t understand. All I do understand that there are pure good people, pure evil people and good people who turn evil after trauma they went through which doesn’t justify it at all. And then there are those traumatised good people who keep spreading love and kindness and say “I want no one ever to go through what I went through ever again!”
But I am relieved you have the support of your husband, son and therapist, I truly hope from the bottom of my heart you’ll find some peace of mind one day ❤️‍🩹😘

I still believe in God because He did not create my childhood. I blame Satan. God gave us all Free Will. That means we can freely do good or evil. Looking back He was always with me and helped me more times than I know. I was the oldest of 4 children and one brother and I are 14 months apart. We clung to each other and still do! In fact while texting this, I just got a text from him telling me his plane landed safely and he’s at the motel (on business). Growing up the way we did made us NEVER hurt our children like we were! There is our Free Will. My brother and I are both Christians, and his wife is my best friend and my husband is his. God gave us strength, determination, and love. I sincerely hope this makes a little bit of sense to you. Thank you, again. ❤️🙏🏼

    Good afternoon from Mississippi!!
Story 1 - you were not to hard on your daughter. Considering the circumstances you should be applauded for standing up for your wife, understanding, being her rock. Your daughter made a bad judgment call she hopefully regrets. Like your wife said, she’ll have to earn trust back. Glad you’re taking it all seriously and getting therapy. God bless.
Story 2 - you are young, you may see things different later in your adult life. For now, I’m glad you have people in your life that make you feel loved. Sounds like you have a great dad that loves you. It was wrong that you had to give up your childhood to be a caregiver at such a young age. That in itself is hard for an adult at times. I think you’ll be fine since you’re prob mature for your age and you’ll be surrounded with love and affection. I can’t help but wonder about your mom’s family….that is your family too. Why weren’t they there for you? Regardless of how they felt towards your mom and your sister, it left you by yourself. I’m sorry, but they should be ashamed of themselves as well as your mom, knowing you were just a child yourself with a heavy weight on your shoulders and not helping out. Good luck to you on your new adventure on dad’s side of life. God Bless!

Women in general have the capacity to be petty, which means women who cheat, will be petty. Who knows what she would've done had they tried to intervene. Look at what she tried to do to the dad everytime he has to parent his daughter and her petty effn mother. Women are more prone to causing as much grief and destruction as possible if she (is/feels) scorned, and collateral damage is barely considered even in the devastating aftermath. How many women weaponize children to get back at the fathers? You think they prioritize what's best for her children? Especially if she's selfish enough to cheat? Answers not difficult. But for some reason women will assume guys in general only want women for one thing, before they even consider women being capable of the callous things they do, and it's always too late by the time they "come to their senses". That's why things are so bad and no one knows what to do, assuming they intend to do anything at all. Answers don't align with their core narratives. So there's your answer boss man assuming you wanted actual answers instead of just being rhetorical 😂

    Rest of the story:
So basically the dad brings his daughter into her room and tells her about all of the bad things the moms parents did, like almost killing her during thanksgiving. Then the story jumps up to the moms birthday and the dads parents and the moms sister are there, then there is a knock at the door and the older sister goes to open it. The dad assumes it was just one of her friend until they get into the living room, revealing that it was the evil in-laws. Turns out the older daughter got into contact with them and thought that they sounded like nice people, either way the dad tells them to leave and when they don’t, the dad and other grandpa try to kick him out. Somehow the mom gets pushed into a wall and got taken to the hospital. The dad confronts the daughter and takes away her phone and grounds her until the mom regains her trust. They also filed a police report and restraining order against the evil in-laws.

I too have PTSD from the exact same lifestyle your wife had. For yrs I needed no pity because I had enough for myself. I was beaten into submission to the point I kept my mouth shut through it all. I was in my early 40’s and I let go of all that pain and hurt. Well most of it anyway. I still have a wounded little girl inside of me but one thing they couldn’t do is break me to the ground because every time they knocked me down I got right back up. I refused to let their abuse take the goodness I carried away from me. I raised myself from 13 and I brought myself up with respect for myself and others. My family knew the abuse but never did anything about it. I had to run to save myself so I did. Tell your wife there’s always going to be a wounded little girl inside of her too but that it’s ok. That the wounded little girl will get better and she won’t hurt so much anymore. When I look back to those days I choose to look at the good times and let the bad times live where they are and should always remain. In the past…. The absolute best to your wife and the hurt child she carries. One day the burden will be lifted I promise you… You’ll be fine.. ❤

I have not experienced this personally but understand the anger you all feel, I'm not trying to diminish it, it is beautiful that you & your family have been there for her. I will say that truama is a very difficult thing, some of us grow from it, others of us are stunted (grow & stunted to various degrees), no matter what it remains a part of us for the rest of our lives. The love your family has shown to her is truly wonderful & perhaps because your family sees value & worth she may be hopeful that one day the people who are supposed to live her most will one day see it. Perhaps she needs answers as to why, idk if she has siblings but that could also make things more confusing and painful. For these reasons & many more are why adopted children seek out the parents who gave them up.
Human beings are complicated we seek answers, some of us self medicate, others allow ourselves to be abused, are toilets for those in our lives, we have little tonno self-worth. While others of us are well put together human beings who only offer love & compassion. All you & yoir family can do is love her & pray that one day those wounds will heal & the love she receives from all of you & Our CREATOR will be enough. Perhaps it may help to recognize what makes you h your family love her, likely because she is a good person h treats your brother, you & your family well be grateful her pain hasn't caused her to be an awful person, it is an easy thing to become. Your families anger may be understandable but only serves to poison all of you, in doing so her family has claimed ithers victims, don't allow yourself to be their victims. I pray for healing for all of you.

Wait a minute please tell me people didn’t rally around this little shit of a daughter in the second story. First I don’t believe the dad doesn’t say anything negative about the mother, I think he’s passive aggressive when it comes to her. At least from what the story describes. The whole there’s nothing to be done, we just have to wait. If your child was so miserable why not sue for more custody? Why not try getting more weekends, and the whole summer? Because, it suits the father more to revel in this child’s hatred for their mother. Second you’ve been wearing the same clothes at home for three years, what do you wear when you’re out? Do you have new stuff for school, or when you go in public? Third, how exactly if your father suffered from an addiction do you know your parents were great before they divorced? And although cheating is terrible, there was a reason the mother cheated, and decided not to give up your sister. Fourth, how can you say your sister is worthless, it’s not her fault she’s disabled, she also didn’t ruin your childhood, it was your mothers and father who should have seen you get a proper childhood. Where was dad to make sure you had piano lessons or basket ball? Just because he wasn’t involved in the affair baby’s life why didn’t he make sure you had, or is that supposed to be all on mom as well with child support? Lastly even if you are burned out and resentful you wish your mother who sounds like she also takes care of your sister, and your disabled sister becomes homeless? What kind of an asshole wishes that on anyone especially a severely disabled person? Thats like wishing death upon them. I’m not saying mom is innocent, but your father could have been in your life more. The got full custody is an excuse. Plenty of fathers remain fully in their child’s life after a divorce. I think OP’s father and father’s friends are poisoning your mind a bit, but hey go live with dad let’s see now that you’re 18 how long that lasts. Who knows maybe karma will come back and put you in the spot you wished for your disabled sister.

For the last story... I'm not upset at the OP for hating their half sister. It sounds like they cannot communicate with her, and that OP was used as a caretaker rather than being allowed to live as a child. Money that was meant for OP to have supplies for SCHOOL, to STUDY, to do HOMEWORK were being both not purchased and SOLD by their mom if it was ever brought home. They didn't let OP get new clothes, they only let them go to college because the mom thought they would still get a free care taker. If being a care taker of a severely disabled person is hard for an adult, why would it be remotely okay to expect OP to be a care taker? How can anyone expect OP to care about their sibling? I'm sorry, but when you are treated like a care taker rather than someones child, or someones sibling- you are no longer the moms child nor the innocent siblings family. The two individuals are now thoughts that bring only pain and trauma, or rage.

My thoughts on the first story.
I can see where the daughter was coming from (kind of). I think the only way the parents could have done better, and this isn't saying they did the wrong thing, was to teach her about PTSD and how to respect it. And teach her things like if you are unsure who's in the right, always side with the victim. How evil can look like love. What a fake apology looks like and why. Teach her to understand trauma without giving her trauma. But this is a 'hindsight is 20/20' thing and I believe they did the best they knew how. I wasn't taught all that stuff at 16 either. I honestly believe the daughter was behaving out of ignorance, not malicious intent because she didn't understand how trauma actually works. How, even if things had somehow not been as bad as the mom and aunt said, it was close enough that the grandparents don't deserve to share their side. Like i said though, i don't think the parents could have reasonably done better to prevent this but i also think this was not in the daughter's normal behavior pattern if she had truly unstood trauma. But the parents did not mishandle this situation. If anything, i think the parents handled it better than i would have. Cause if someone pushed my wife like that, free trauma for everyone and jail time for me.
