    it's not about full or hidden tang, it's about how solid it is.
    And that look realy solid

      Thanks! I just know 410 welds nicer than other stainlesses. There are a lot of different stainlesses you can use and some give different looks when etched

      @@CurtisHaaland I ll try, 300's stainless are harder to welds and doesnt get such migrations than 400's

    Hey man, just wondering, do you make your san mai in a big batch, like a long bar of it, or do you make small billets?

      I normally make a batch of smaller ones but sometimes I will do bigger billets and do two knives from each billet.

      In my shop I go through a ton of 1/16 drill bits. I tend to keep those broken bits around for this exact reason.
