Armand Assante did a great job in his portrayal of John Gotti. Anthony Quinn was great as Aniello Dellacroce too. There were a lot of really good performances in this movie.
More like Goodfellas than GF. It went for realism with a less elaborate production. No fancy director, elaborate sets or expensive actors. Considering all that, it's just amazing how realistic and great this movie came out. Everyone loves a slippery underdog great gangster movie.
I watched this when it aired initially. Armand Assante, Anthony Quinn and William Forsythe were fabulous. I feel bad for the neighbor even though Victoria Gotti herself demonizes him. If it was an accident, he certainly didn't deserve to be killed.

Very underrared.good acting all around
LOL, too bad there's absolutely nothing accurate about it.
@@orvil9223 Oh look it's somebody who was actually there. Awesome bro, tell us the true story man!?
@@iamthepapi6251 The slightest bit of research will tell you the true story.
@@orvil9223 It’s a movie not a documentary. Like The Sopranos. It was made to entertain not educate.
Paulie walnuts is living a double life. I wonder if Tony knows about his betrayal
He said he lived through the 70’s by the skin of his nuts when the Colombo’s were going at it, this is what he was talking about I guess
When Angelo is dying at the hospital ... John feeds him the canoli...best part when Angelo says sorry and John says shut up and eat...Great scene ..awesome movie overall..thanks for the upload
In all reality gotti never went to Visit Angelo when he was dying
John Gotti is by far the best playing this by Amarnte DeSoto. I watched it several times and lived on Long Island when He was Don, Elizabeth 🍸
Without the Success Of Armande Assante's Gotti On HBO would they have even gambled on the Soprano's ? This movie help take HBO as a boxing channel to Hey there a network 💯
Very good point
I agree
HBO films always produced great biographies. In high school I loved "Stalin," "Truman," and "The Rat Pack."
Well said 👍
I've watched this one twenty times and there is always something in it I like again and again . Great movie . Travolta isn't even close to this guy .
Asante and Quinn were great in this movie
Assante awesome
and the driver being shot at 1.04.45 is even closer looking to Gotti than Asante
SO WAS FORSYTHE
Sparks was serving Premium Paul Cutlets, by 8:15. DeMeo meat cut/drain are quick: Manhattan, to brooklyn, & back to the grill. Fuggeddaboudit
Yes this movie is better then new one asante bad ass actor
probably my 6 or 7th time listening/watching this movie this month. can't lie i enjoy this movie too much 🤣
Armand Assante definitely had the makings of a varsity athlete.
Its very hard to not watch the full movie once you click
Very few movies have that effect.
Great acting and exceptional characters, salute sir Gotti.
Finally seen this movie in it's entirety. Excellent!
It's hard not watching Gotti .. everytime I walk away to do as something else, it pulls me back in LOL 😆👍
Armand Assante did a great job in his portrayal of John Gotti. Anthony Quinn was great as Aniello Dellacroce too. There were a lot of really good performances in this movie.
Love this film best gangster film out there love from hull England 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍💯
According to the people who know this is the most authentic mafia film.
Crazy to think we have four future Soprano actors in this (Dominic Chianese, Vincent Pastore, Frank Vincent, and Tony Sirico)
You forgot Frank Pelligrino
“You’re not gonna believe this. He killed 16 Checkolysvakians. Guy was an interior decorator “
His house looked like shit🤷🏽♂️
“We shoulda stopped at Roy Rogers”
The Dapper Don is now the Teflon Don” that was said, it gave me goosebumps!!! Great movie!!!💯💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇮🇹🇮🇹🙏🏻🙏🏻 RIP
Half the actors in this movie were in the Sopranos series. This Movie is a masterpiece.
Legendary movie. Very slept on. A+
So many Sopranos actors I love it.
More like Goodfellas than GF. It went for realism with a less elaborate production. No fancy director, elaborate sets or expensive actors. Considering all that, it's just amazing how realistic and great this movie came out. Everyone loves a slippery underdog great gangster movie.
John Gotti will never be forgotten in a thousand years
Who?!
(1000yrs is a long time
..10+ generations!!
A pos gang banger, nothing more,,,
Now Sammy has a successful RUclips channel telling stories.
This movie is so addictive
I watched this when it aired initially. Armand Assante, Anthony Quinn and William Forsythe were fabulous.
I feel bad for the neighbor even though Victoria Gotti herself demonizes him. If it was an accident, he certainly didn't deserve to be killed.
Well if it was your kid you might feel differently
Rumour said he was tortured really bad with a chainsaw in the back of a van
@@elrafa5845 It was an accident, therefore no charges. Vigilatism is not the answer. Do it and find yourself sitting pretty in jail.
Gotta got away with it , he didn’t kill him because of the accident that guygot killed because he didn’t show respect didnt go to Gotti and apologize and beg for forgiveness
Which anyone should do even if it wasn’t Gotti
But especially if it is
Anything with children is World shatter
I’m not advocating murder just saying
“ this whoolllllle fucking thing . last only , five minutes “ 😳 chills
And he's 100% correct.I'm 50 and it feels like a long 2 minutes went by.
@@alexscott730 that line was delivered so perfect, it literally gave me chills
And I wish you many more 🍰
@@051kilo2 Gave me chills as well. Was even a bit hard to watch. Made me wanna fast forward it to the next scene. To be able to give my body n mind a physical reaction you know the scene was amazing.
Anthony Quinn was Mexican. He pulled this off so good. This is the best mob movie ever, period. John Travolta basically did a parody of this gem. It also weird to see Paulie without the wings in his hair...
He was also in the Movie " Mobsters".
So, John Gotti's dislike of Paul Castellano goes way back to 1973 or even way before that, for several reasons, including heritage. This movie is excellent, I can't believe that I haven't seen it before this, I will definitely watch it again.
