Kurt Cobain started to use the Vandalism Strat while on tour after recording Nevermind in around 1991, the Vandalism Strat got smashed up by Kurt on several occasions and the original Fender neck got replaced a few times.

@@theguitarmanifesto indeed and I am not a fan of black guitars unless they're satin finished ie antique look, but she's a beauty. perhaps you can build your own line one day soon. I'd buy one and so would many other subscribers! 🎸
Nice build, the black strat with the white pick guard and hot tail in the bridge. He smashed it as usual is here in Cleveland at the rock hall. His morsite is also here, I’d imagine they have more down at the archives building. Both cool places to visit if you’re ever over here.
That was a Japanese Fender strat as well I believe, that's some cool history dude would love to head over to the states
He smashed it twice but not in Cleveland. He smashed it at the Paramount theater in Seattle and finally in France in December 91
I once modded a Squier to a Cobain strat but I sold it. This vid made me wanna have a Cobain strat again 😊. I now modded my Squier vm hss strat to a Cobain strat and it looks great 😍.

i really like your videos! i once did a "reverse" vandalism strat, white body and it was supposed to have a reversed vandal sticker but i smashed it before i could do more stuff to it heh

It's weird seeing this being build again since I saw the 1st video of you building the 1st one and demoing it, But hey so far my vandy strat,s been good although the B in the sticker sadly has disappeared due to wear and playing with it, including a bit of the courtesy word and not to mention the left side now has a Black smudge in it, but eeh it's all part of the wearing when you use it extensively hehe 😉.
It's now got grunge patina 🤣 always a fun guitar to build

Hard to say dude had some of these parts for a long time
When i'm taking the knobs off I just use a shoelace and pull like I try to hide the fact that I don't work out but it's very visible

Yes
What is the size of the sticker?
You might want to check the humbucker wiring, looks and sounds like you’ve wired it up as a single coil..
If it’s just 4 wires you want to connect the red a white together and heat shrink them out of the way, green will be hot and unshielded is ground I think…

Your strings look like the fake Ernie Ball's from another video I just watched. The crispy sound to the bag, and the end cut are off. Were they REALLY cheap? Not knocking, just warning they are out there, apparently pretty common now.
Nope they're from a local guitar shop who I know orders them direct from the Ernie ball rep, I've been buying them off the same shop for over a year or so, used them on various builds on the channel
It’s still just a strat. You can own any guitar played by any artist and it will always be just a guitar, you can never be the artist that played it.
