Damn even if that scene was onlt for a second they even find out the problem likeee DAMNNNN THESE GUYS NEED MORE RESPECT I JUST WATCH ANIME WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING THAT MUCH ON THE DETAILS
I know im asking randomly but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me
@James Bowie I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
This isn't necessarily genius in itself but the talent, ability, and drive to notice and nitpick at all these seemingly small things until they reach the highest standard of quality really makes the overall product, well, a work of art. EDIT: I take this back I'm a fucking clown
@@steveburnside5395 yoshinari is an extremely experienced animation director. Ngl i agree he's a genius, but the actual job being shown in this clip is just him correcting the body mechanics of an animator who's so new they didnt know how to pose a throwing animation. That's the minimum requirement to be an animation director. So he's actually right in saying that this specific video isnt like pure genius or anything. If anything, calling this video genius is misplaced worship. If this level of quality was a standard in the west too, i wonder if people would actually respond that intensely to a simple correction.
@@steveburnside5395 but i will also say that most studios in anime wont have somebody go over and make notes of the entire animatic in a room full of people. That's a pretty smart way to prevent yourself from having to repeat the same things to multiple people
@@steveburnside5395 im uh. Im not like, mad dude. And no i didnt make that up, im an animator. Its a pretty simple action, but it still takes a bit of professional experience to be able to animate stuff like that. He was probabaly an artist in his first year. In my experience, it takes about a year working at a studio like that before you can reliably do more intense stuff without lots of corrections. And it isnt hard to believe either, this clip is from the little witch academia movie documentary. Trigger was still only like 3 years old at the time so whoever did that cut was probs a new hire. Not tryna shit on a new artist, thats just how it be. Shits hard
I'm genuinely angry Europe has no 2D animation industry (beyond ugly flash children's cartoons) . I want to be part of this too. All we have is game industries...
You should check The Line studio, based in London and heavily inspired by japanese animation. There's also plenty of incredible 2D animation studios in France.
They're called Animation Paper. You can buy them I your local art shop if you ask at the counter. I have them but I don't know about where you live. You can also buy them online :D
Matthew Bal this is little witch academia the enchanted parade movie,i found a full i think 52 minutes one of behind the scenes just looking up in youtube
wouldn't it be cheaper for them to this digitally? they do a lot of paper work. not that i dislike it.. i find it very impressive and respectful in its own way. it's just that it would make more sense to be digital.
Some Person cheaper in what way, its the workflow they're used to and is standard in the industry, would be hard to change, and most prefer drawing on paper. But there are some animators drawing digitally too now especially newer ones
Mayo taizou well the cost should be obvious i think. but i can definitely understand if this is the method they prefer. i have a tablet but still prefer drawing traditionally
Mayo taizou also i wonder if they ever use human figures as references. this particular clip suggests they don't and that's just insane what with all the crazy perspectives they do
Makes sense else they would have like inhumane talent. I just wished they shared more of that to reassure me that they aren't wizards and I a lowly scrub. :P

yeah but if you add up all the mistakes that could have been made it would have been seen as bad animation for trigger
His incredibly calm but precise critiques and corrections make me think hes a great teacher
I like watching talented people being talented
Talent... Such an ugly word. Skilled... Skilled Craftsmen... You aren't born with that shit, you do start somewhere, possibly very humble.
Hi Ich Bin Barney
Talent + skills = cool!
But anyway you can do that if upgrade your skills ( not only talented people can do that! )
meshare agree to disagree. You actually need skill to have talent and even more skill to have well ... more skill!

who knew physics could come into animation
Isn't it obvious if you're trying to create the illusion of motion?

Nice, is this from the 2nd episode?
Ccs1989 Yes.
What is that paper called, the one with three place holders on top? Can someone please help me? I've been look for the name for a long time.
Matthew .H. Uh, cells?
Matthew .H. peg bars ?
Matthew .H. oh sorry I thought you were asking what the holders are called
It's just animation paper. Cells are the see-through plastic sheets used for painting each frame, before production turned digital.
