this game is so good i don't even need to play quest to be entertained... last week I spent like 2 hours just walking around the city and talking with npc lol xd
there's a bunch of mechanics and interactions like this in the game that is never really explained to player - which is weird considered how much other stuff is tutorialized. e.g. the shoot dodge manoeuvre is never explained to the player AFAIK.
On the day one version / before any patches the cops would do that drag/carry animation on random dead bodies to get rid of them after a while. I think they removed it at some point cause they only had the one animation which was for shootouts
Oh shit, yeah, I remember that now. Honestly I kinda wish it was still in the game, it makes a lot more sense than the cops leaving a dead body in the streets
i love rdr2’s insane details that can be helpful like this one for example i found out that bears don’t attack you if you stand your ground and stand still
I wish this mechanic was more consistent. this works sometimes but not all the time. sometimes I kill a random person in the middle of nowhere and a while later a witness shows up and alerts the lawmen. the dark red "wanted" shows up and I can just keep on going where I was headed to acting unsuspiciously and the lawmen will still spot me and come guns blazing. I still haven't figured out the logic behind it but it seems to have two different dark red wanted states. one says "wanted" and below just says "investigating", that's when you can be caughtv (for god knows what reason), but if below says "unknown suspect" like in the video you can evade the lawmen. I think maybe your crime history in the town/state plays a role in this but they can't just shoot you because they assumed it was you. but rockstar is known for lazy RNG so maybe that's the explanation
You can do this anywhere on the map, you just can't let people see you do it. Sometimes even if a witness see's you do it but you get out of there in time, and the law follows you out of the red search area, you can play it off too, but move quick. They'll catch on if you stick around
If you commit low level offenses in smaller towns you can convince the law men that you’ll get out of town and yeah when ya beat someone up in valentine and Malloy want your ass it works
Fun fact: If your crime isn’t serious enough cops will just tell you to move along and get out of the area painted red in the minimap, you won’t get any bounty nor chase and after like a 15 second wait you can return back to the area you were previously at
Would be cool if they asked how many bullets your gun has, but then I guess they wouldn't want to invite trouble. (Plus you could always just reload after the fact)
If you enter a shop, make sure the dore is close, and point your gun to the npc and asking for the money and then, kill him with the knife, will not give you wanted level
wow.. I didn't know that this is a feature 😅 I usually just eliminate half of the town folks after being Wanted for bumping into someone and disturbing the peace 🤣

Also if they don't know who the suspect is.
I have the lowest honor possible and do this all the time (that's how I got low honor).
I feel like I’m the only one who knew this.
Same in gta if you pull over and park your car in clear visibility of the cops they’ll go on passing you not knowing it was you
I've had this game since release and have never seen that prompt saying you can talk your way out of it.
I love how you said hi to the lawyer after getting away with the crime.
I play this game like any ordinary and normal person would do (such as playing the game as it was intended like roaming around the map and hunting animals, and also admiring the view of detail and other things)
this game is so good i don't even need to play quest to be entertained... last week I spent like 2 hours just walking around the city and talking with npc lol xd
The day I bought the game all I did was ride around the Heartlands and hunt turkeys xd
That's where I tamed the Mustang I completed the game with
bro did a hit and walk
Holy shit I’m still finding things out about this game
there's a bunch of mechanics and interactions like this in the game that is never really explained to player - which is weird considered how much other stuff is tutorialized. e.g. the shoot dodge manoeuvre is never explained to the player AFAIK.
On the day one version / before any patches the cops would do that drag/carry animation on random dead bodies to get rid of them after a while. I think they removed it at some point cause they only had the one animation which was for shootouts
Oh shit, yeah, I remember that now. Honestly I kinda wish it was still in the game, it makes a lot more sense than the cops leaving a dead body in the streets
my god that chipmunk filter to the scammer just makes him sound like Chip and Dale are running a scheme

I have no idea why but the man's little "Hello" is so wholesome
The ammount of times I could have done this not realised and ended up with a multiple hundred bounty due to a shoot out FFS
Reminds me of skyrim's, "wait, i know you." No you don't.
Was really hoping for the next cop to start an interrogation
🐿️: _you know when you have one of those days?_
Just learned somthing new. I think I like this game even more now.
i love rdr2’s insane details that can be helpful like this one
for example i found out that bears don’t attack you if you stand your ground and stand still
I had no clue RDR2 had first person, so this is the quality we'll be getting in GTA 6!
that "halloooo" was perfect from the guy from the balcony 😂
Can be frustrating sometimes, but when the law system works, it works well. Definitely a step up from GTAV, and still has no contenders anyways.
people will never stop finding new stuff in this game
Fun fact: This is a leftover from Bully 2 because RDR2's socializing features came from Bully 2 before it got cancelled in 2010
I see you managed to get the horse from the photographer mission good job.
I can see this kind of wanted system working really well in an assassin's creed game.
Great attention to detail, Rockstar really can go above and beyond sometimes
Cops swarming in like they had walkie talkies on the horse
You can do this anywhere on the map, you just can't let people see you do it. Sometimes even if a witness see's you do it but you get out of there in time, and the law follows you out of the red search area, you can play it off too, but move quick. They'll catch on if you stick around
the only thing this game’s missing is doctors showing up to try to help the victim and take him to the hospital
If you commit low level offenses in smaller towns you can convince the law men that you’ll get out of town and yeah when ya beat someone up in valentine and Malloy want your ass it works
Fun fact: If your crime isn’t serious enough cops will just tell you to move along and get out of the area painted red in the minimap, you won’t get any bounty nor chase and after like a 15 second wait you can return back to the area you were previously at
Arthur dressed as a hotdog telling the cops "we're all trying to find out who did this".
*escapes scene of a murder*
"how's it going?"
"you know when you have one of those days..."
Its all about being identified. They are suspicious of anyone in the area. But, keeping your cool wont get then on you
Wish the game went over incredibly fun mechanics like this more
Would be cool if they asked how many bullets your gun has, but then I guess they wouldn't want to invite trouble. (Plus you could always just reload after the fact)
If you enter a shop, make sure the dore is close, and point your gun to the npc and asking for the money and then, kill him with the knife, will not give you wanted level
wow.. I didn't know that this is a feature 😅 I usually just eliminate half of the town folks after being Wanted for bumping into someone and disturbing the peace 🤣
man, if only the civvies didn't have hawk eyes most of the time and knew every detail down to the dize of your boots
That is such a cool game state. I like when games have attention to detail.
1,000 hours in and I never kew till it happened to me, looked it up and found this video.
