Today bought one in a toys shop for my kids!

Yup, Playmobil made this set with love. It's already visible from the distance. Very playable stuff and still cool for a mature collector. Much respect for the company.
You know that this Playmobil Back To The Future Delorean is one of the few things that Playmobil did better than Lego.
Leg flopped it.
ive even built a delorean better than lego and i can fit both marty and doc in it perfectly
The LEGO set was a fan design made into an official set. It could have been so much better, but well it si what it is.
The mini figs are far superior.
I guess Im kind of randomly asking but does anyone know of a good website to watch new movies online?
One of my dreams is that we one day get some kind of wacky races style racing game with nothing but famous cars from movies and tv shows, the Delorean, Ectoplasm, Kitt, turtles van, Dukes of Hazard, Smokey and the bandit, the A-Team, Columbo and so many more could be in it!
They showed something like this in Ready Player One. I agree it would be cool if there was an actual game with lots of iconic vehicles like that.
I think Lego Dimensions already lets you race some of those cars (not sure if you can race them together, I've never tried Lego Dimensions).
As iconic as the General Lee car is, it's unlikely that any future game will get the Dukes of Hazzard license because of the Confederate flag on the roof (unless they had a neutered General Lee without the flag). If you want to race the General Lee in a game, I think the most recent official Dukes of Hazzard game is the Playstation 2 one from 2005 based on the movie although I know people create the General Lee in games with car customization options like Forza Motorsports all of the time.
You can do that just mod grand theft auto V on computer and u can get any car u want

Hey if you're still interested Hotwheels Unleashed released for all gaming platforms it has many of those classic cars I bought the game specifically for the delorean it also features cars like ninja turtles van, Ashton Martin from James bond, snoopys car and many more.
Now they need to make the Libyan’s van with the rocket launcher

I love Back To The Future. I can't wait for the NECA Figures based on the Back To The Future Cartoon that happened after the 3 movies. Today is also Michael J. Fox (Marty) 59th Birthday. Perfect day to do the video on.
My nostalgia still has a hard time wrapping its head around Playmobil licensed characters which is weird since I collect LEGO. But as you said the vehicles really stand on their own too. Great review!
Oh, darn. Since they give you the "wheel folding" feature, a shame they didn't include a little Mr. Fusion you could slot into the plutonium chamber, giving you the option of the full futuristic upgrade.

you need to angle the hose hooks above the wheels so the hoses don't fall off
I know Playmobil will continue with the figure line of BTTF 2 & 3 but it would be so cool if they produce some play sets to go with the figures like the Hill Valley Court House & cafe 80's.
Modular set for the entire town square. With 2 sets of stickers to make the 1955 and 1985 version. Just dreaming here.
Either the 50s version of the cafe or the retro Cafe 80s would be amazing!

Why couldn't they have made a Mr. Fusion accessory that inserts where the Plutonium canister does. A missed opportunity if you ask me. Perhaps they can create an accessory pack that includes Doc from the future, Jennifer (although there would be no way to fit Marty and Jennifer in the passenger seat but nevermind that) and a Mr. Fusion unit.

In 1985 this level of detail would give Kenner Star Wars and Hasbro G.I. Joe a run for their money. Yet the big blocky dashboard oddly reminds me of the toys from that era.
Well I’m sure in 2020, Playmobil BTTF DeLoreans were available on every corner drug store, but in 1985, they were a little hard to come by!

Just imagine going back to the past,and have one of those after the films release! It would be a massacre on the stores i believe,if you ask back then even playmobil that they will releasing those in the future they would not believed you!

They thought of everything, even the hover conversion. And then they forget the Mr.Fusion Home Energy Reactor. Sigh....
And the 2015 license plate, and the 3rd version of the DeLorean, and even though the LEGO version does break easily and doesn’t have the rod from near the end of the movie, you can just add a rod with a collection of spare pieces and glue it together if you really are annoyed with it falling apart! I have the LEGO DeLorean and it’s so much better than the Playmobil one!

Playmobil really puts great effort into these sets. The accessories and the detail are fantastic.

A small clear stand for the illusion of levitation...and....much more importantly...the LED activation button ON TOP...wouldve been very courteous of playmobil.

This was one I was checking Playmobil's site for constantly. As soon as the email came through that it was in stock I bought it. My only regret is when I did my review my microphone got all messed up later in the video. ☹️. Awesome set though. Hoping they come out with a clock playset to go with the 1955 versions they have planned.
Do you know if it Is it possible the light stays on all the time? and not to stop after some seconds???
I love Playmobil - back in the 1970's, when my brother had loads of their builders and equipment, they were known in the UK as 'Playpeople'. In the late 1990's, my brother's daughter had lots - she loved the little odds and sods that came with them. I own three: an astronaut, and the HAZMAT team. Everything about them is quality. If you have imagination, then the uniformity of the figures should be of no concern to you - they can be anyone you want them to be.
I'm going to buy that set just to get the 1955 figures - just joking, the whole thing is awesome.

@Robd1 replies Those building block companies didn't really get much into licensed stuff back then. Even Lego didn't do much until they got into the Star Wars stuff. Now the majority of Lego sets are licensed stuff.

In order to create the flying future version wasn’t there an accessories/setpiece to replace the plutonium for the junk nozzle (Mr. Fusion) as well? Seems they forgot to include it.

If Playmobile hair works the same way it did when I was a kid (I still have my old street repair set around here someplace) then the fact they got Doc's hair as close as they did is still surprising.

Had this a couple of months now, and I love it. Would have liked a Mr Fusion to be included, since they have the flying mode. The marbling on the doors, is identical on mine.
I’ve had mine for a bit but the door on the drivers side wouldn’t close all the way, so display is a bit harder to make look good
Yeah - it really stands out that Mr. Fusion isn't there...
I cut the front of the floorboards out of the ecto-1 and nowv1:18 scale figures fit in it and a very small amount of customization makes the proton packs and other accessories fit modern gi joes exceptionally well. I intend to do similarly to this...

The only thing they needed for this set was a freaking clear stand when the delorean is in hover mode! Other than that the set is amazingly build! When i first saw a video in the last toy fair i almost wet my pants from happiness! 😁 And i said to my bro after the release of ghost busters imagine make a delorean bttf set! And BOOM geobra with one of the best movie ip's!

did you know that in back to the future doc tells Marty originally to meet him at twin Pines mall but when he's going back to 1990 he runs over a tree then when he goes back to twin Pines malls it's called lone Pine malls

Realized you put the wheels wrong the big tires go back and small ones in front. Also it requires 2 AAA batteries and then pure awesomeness! haha

saw this in Wal-Mart the other day and was very intrigued - I personally hate the look of the figures, but these vehicles from Playmobil are always so well done. I'd buy this just for the Delorean! Incredible job on the features and details - sounds would have made it a must buy though
Your tires are on wrong. The thicker ones go in the rear, thinner ones in the front.

playmobile was around when I was a kid. That was a looong time ago lol.
How does this scale with the reaction figures?
Playmobil tends to approximate 3 3/4 scale in their figures (the playsets work like that with other lines), so my bet would be pretty well.

The NECA figures look great but they don't have a DeLorean! (Retro Action dropped the ball on this, too.) That's why I'll be picking up the Playmobil set. You gotta have the time machine in a Back To The Future toyline! I think the only other time this has happened was with Minimates, but that DeLorean was super-deformed and cartoony.
I wonder if the Neca figures could fit in the Diamond Select Deloreans.

I love this DeLorean. It just looks great. I didn't get the 1955 figures though, so that was disappointing.
I'm torn between getting this or waiting for a BTTF2 version with a Mr. Fusion instead of the plutonium canisters.

I think this is way nicer than the Lego set. I prefer Lego figures but the Lego Delorean looked so bad. I got the Ecto-1 from a thrift store. No figures and it's missing the headlights and a couple pieces on the roof but it look very good. I'm almost tempted to buy a new one and use my airbrush on the white parts to make them shine with gloss varnish. A good Ecto-1 that big is not easy to get. Either they are tiny, crappy or just insanely expensive like the Hot Wheels elite one and it's not even that big.
Is this easy to assemble?

Pre-ordered mine through Entertainment Earth months ago. I saw several of these at my local Walmart last week. I still don’t have my pre-order. I don’t understand pre-ordering something if it’s available in stores first.
Entertainment Earth are pretty average. Don't use them again.
People should stop comparing playmobil with lego.
If playmobil had different faces and different hands, people would stop comparing it to each other.
OVER ALL, they are VERY DIFFERENT.
In lego, you BUILD THINGS WITH BUILDING BLOCKS.
In playmobil, you don’t need to build ANYTHING, unless of course you need to connect the roof of a house.
BUT THERE ARE NO BUILDING BLOCKS.
I was on the fence about buying this and then you remembered the wheels can flip up lol

I already have a 1/24 scale Back to the Future DeLorean from Welly, a Hong Kong-based diecast manufacturer, so I doubt I'd be buying this (especially considering Playmobil is already premium-priced and then movie-licensed Playmobile adds an extra premium to that premium). However, I admit that the light up Flux Capacitor is cool (the Welly has a molded Flux Capacitor but it's not even painted) and I might consider buying the 1955 figures to put alongside the Welly DeLorean should I see them at Walmart or Toys R' Us Canada stores.
