Having bases in countries does NOT cost you money.. it MAKES you money. it says passive income $20 every 5s. if you upgrade it, it will generate even more.
But its better to go for more territories in the beginning rather than upgrading the one you have. 20$/Territory vs 30$ for an upgraded one when you could get 2 more instead of upgrading.
@@swedeonhisway8608 It depends on your genius. Ivan can mass scout level 1s cause he's basically super muscle agent with AoE rocket launcher and doesn't really care about weak agent spam early game so can completely avoid wasting money on heat reduction. Zalika on the other hand gets destroyed by agent spam and is much better off rushing to level 2 $100000 scientist reward schemes, flat screens and heat reduction research to get rich very quickly and very safely.
@@85UKDan Im playing Max like in the first. but i was simply refering to the earlier comment about it will generate more which it both true and not true depending on how you look at it.
@@swedeonhisway8608 i think it is true no matter how you look at it. you do earn more if you upgrade it. he's not talking about strategies or efficiency, just a simple fact he's bringing up because it's mentioned wrong in the video. adding this small extra fact makes his comment sound less like a critique and more friendly instead. unlike how we are commenting right now lol.
@@swedeonhisway8608 It isn't though. Base amount is higher, but money schemes are absurdly more powerful level 2 onwards. Given Super Agents are Nation-Locked (except for one), if you keep few networks at lvl 2 at least in only one Nation at the start you can keep a couple of them empty for the Super Agent to stay in while you run money schemes in the others. You get so much money from them you can purchase the instant heat reduction every time a scheme ends (and every time a Super Agent leaves a region) and have so much more you can buy any item you want and pay for all the expensive room excavations (those after the base ground type). I've found the best is Asia because even if they give you less money heat reduction costs are halved for both intel and money. Symmetra is the strongest Super Agent though, so you gotta be careful not to trigger her before you are ready for her or she'll murder your whole base.
Very good guide. One thing I would add as a minor way to save a few dollars is when you make doorways always try to make them from the corridor and not the room you are making. It is a waste of money on 4 tiles you will not actually use for the room itself. So when planning your corridors make 4 tile bump outs where you want to build rooms then just drag the room to connect them.
Can you explain this better. I know I’m late but I’m just now finding out about this game n I’m going to buy it n start playing. But can you explain what you mean better so i can understand how to make it
Tip number One Dont waste money and More important Power on DOORs to areas that you dont need to keep Enemy out of like Barracks and food areas, Doors also slow Minions traveling around base down as well ... Tip 2, Barracks, You only need a few beds compared to number of minions, they will share beds and all dont sleep at the same time, this said LOCKERs = Number of Minions you can get, to save space line your Corridors with Lockers, (just highlight a strip beside wall in Corridor and convert to barracks to place lockers there) . TIp 3 IMPORTANT Do not put the vault near ANY ENTRANCE !!! there are Enemy they will sneak in and steal your Gold and they can come in from helipad as well. stick it with generators far from entrance close together, so your guards can be posted to guard both together. tip 4 DO NOT sell all the casino furnishings !!! there is a objective that says to sell FOUR, so save a couple for it. Tip 5 Control Room, there are 22 world map sections, so you will need 22 radio receivers if not upgraded, put them where they have a lot of room to expand, also put it far from the entrance, since they make investigators suspicious and can be sabotaged ... to be continued
@@jordonbrewer2354 Later they can, because they come on their own boats instead of the cruiseships (though might depend on the layout of the island, the doughnut seems safer in that regard), super agents also basically enter your base with a teleport, haven't seen or heard of evidence yet regarding said teleport happening onto another level, so mid to end-game goal is probably to put your important stuff on other levels for safekeeping. Also a tip: You can make combination rooms: I've seen a setup of a guard post linked to a prison with a strip for some barracks beds & 1 mess hall counter in the guard post area. Perfect combo to almost guarantee there's always someone in there. Instead of making a big cafeteria, you can also bump out a section of corridor and put a strip of mess hall there for one counter.
"Minion Traits" is very important send the useless ones such as "Lazy" to schemes or live execution(motivation) while maintain the useful ones such as Volunteer (no salary), Strong Righ Hook (suitable guards), and such.
Tip Number 6 ... When you look at base info at start each has position advantage and disadvantages, like the first isle show by Nivarias easier against Hammer & Anvil but harder vs Patriot, next bit info with this your first Henchman spawns in specific Zones, if you know the one you want you may want to pre-scout it to be ready to hire them, Tip 7 ... dont build prison near Entrance it also causes suspicion, Tip 8 Build a small Generator nook in jail area, place the Incinerator since you will be using it there a lot, and not have it waste space in generator room. Tip 9 Research, the more Scientists and research stations = faster, I like 1.5 scientists per station to account for sleep and etc, also I would put a Scientist training nook off lab so they can help them train fast (Same with guard trainer off armory. and a Important TIP. Never let your gold get to 100% with out expanding Vault or building something, seen so many waste money then when they need it they didnt have it.

So when planning your corridors make 4 tile bump outs where you want to build rooms then just drag the room to connect them.
@@Jeffs40K Sure ok so let me see if I can explain better. When you scroll a box for a room like inner sanctum that costs a lot per tile. when you connect it to a hallway, do not make 4 tiles for the doorway from the tab to make you inner sanctum. Just go to the corridor tab and make the 4 tiles that connect to the room. This can save a lot of money in the early game especially. I hope this explains it better.
missed something... before you go to the world map you need to micromanage the Minions and Observe their traits and get ride of the Bad Ones... Like 'loves sleep' 'loves breaks' 'Clumsy' 'Careless' You can set these minions as priority minions to go out on the world map to do the schemes. Think of minions are a another type resource you can use.
skip the vault in the beginning. Without one you can carry 40k. You won't be having that much gold for a while in the early game. Then later, once you get good cash flow, put a vault deep into your base. it raises suspicion from investigators and there are thieves later in the game who will steal your gold. So you want them to have to walk far before they can leave. Also its a good idea to research the better Vault boxes for gold to save a lot of space in terms off vault size.
Seems there's an optional objective that pops up specifically to sell the defunct Casino equipment, so good to still hold on to some stuff for when that comes around for an extra bonus of free cash

Isn't it kinda a bad choice to make your rooms so close to the entrance? Where there is little room for traps for example
