@@lenakingsleigh I know! I also messaged him once, he's so sweet. I am so happy to see him getting the recognition he deserves. I think he also got himself a social media manager, it's very nice to see
If Larian is going to make him romanceable, they should atleast add: -a lanceboard minigame with him, where we could actually play a game of chess against him and there would be dialogue while it happens. Or he could just ramble on himself, and praise us for good moves or alternatively humiliate us for the bad ones/losing. There could be a reward for winning too👀 -the DINNER DATE that was promised, but never delivered. -And like he says in the Astral prism: ”you could be sampling the contents of my wine cellar..” YES! Wine tasting with him. Tell me all about the tannicity or acidity of wine with that sultry voice of yours.. -a dance perhaps? Tango, with the devil? -an of course the another kind of ’devil’s tango’ These are my requirements
His personal character development should either be Raphael learning more about his human mother and that she truly did love him, or him being at a crossroads between the devil or human side. Bad ending: He kills Hope and returns to his home like nothing happened. Good ending: He frees Hope and Korilla and leaves his home behind for the Sword Coast where he makes a new home in Baldur's Gate. If you're not a bard, he should teach you how to play. If you are then you have a bard-off.
@@nocturnalcove9736 I have a different vision. He gets the Crown, but instead of going for taking over whole Hells which would make him an overwhelming amount of enemies, take over the freaking Cania. If he was going to end the Blood War, mortal plane would be screwed, which is a bad ending, but Asmodeus most likely wouldn't allow that to happen, so it's also a bad ending where Raphael most likely would die. In my mind good ending is Raphael making allies with mortals (Tav and maybe a few others) releasing Hope but keeping Korrilla cuz Korrilla likes working for him and taking over Cania. I'd love to raid Mephistopheles, would be so cool!
Thanks for the clips again! If I'm Tav, I'll probably have just signed the contract without thinking it through (being immediately persuaded and charmed by him). In the same logic, I'd have gave Gortash the stone. 😂😅
1:07 EXCUSE ME??!? This MAN. I cannotttttt! I'm so down bad for him it's crazy. I'm lucky he's not real because I'd be the dumbest binch ever and would absolutely sign his contract just so he can sup on my soul
I find it quite disappointing that he breaks his word in the end, having promised to never torture a mortal, once he got the crown. Considering how lawful devils are canonically said to be. Truly a shame. Otherwise I had given it to him willingly. Aside from that, thanks for your effort with these vids 👍
@@MilkAndSugar16 he never said that. He said 'Not to dominate a mortal'. That's a striking difference. Besides what torture are we talking about? Lmao. His epilogue after a successful deal doesn't mention any torture
@@Claudiiwastaken It doesnt actually make a difference, since the outcome is the same. He promised not to leave the hells, yet after he got the crown, he declares he will do it. Thats actually a break of contract, something that is frowned upon by devils.
@@Claudiiwastaken If it's stated in the contract, canonically, he should stick to it. There is the saying 'Devil in the detail' and 'Read the fine print', and thats fine. Nothing wrong with outsmarting people, who do not care to read a contract properly. But unfortunately we do not get to read the contract, just him saying 'You find everything is in order. I won't ... etc'. And if it's really stated like this, then he'd be violating the contract. And that is something devils don't do, since they are defined by lawfullness. So I find it quite disappointing, even more since I'm actually a great fan of the devils and especially Raphael. He always dealt fairly up to this point and takes great pride in doing so. So I wished they had him stick to his word. Had been canonically accurate and doing his otherwise lawful character justice.
@@MilkAndSugar16 But you're looking at it from the wrong perspective. He states 'my kingdom would control it's borders and stay within them' He never says what he interprets as his kingdom, thus he never breaks the contract:) And domination isn't equal to torturing so I totally don't understand your first point, it makes no sense.
I like to imagine Andrew Wincott looked at Raphael's design, read the script, saw the Charisma stat and instantly knew what he had to do.
Andrew himself has a lot of charm. I watched livestreams with him and I was like 'if there is ever a live action...... please'
I watched his interviews and lately texted with him a little on Instagram and let me just tell you, he's really charismatic and a very kind soul! :)
