  • The Worst Watch To Service ? Vintage Watch Accuracy ? - Talking To A Master Watchmaker !
In today's episode of Federico Talks Watches I talk to my master watchmaker Hansy and I ask him certain questions. How accurate can a vintage watch be? What is the most annoying watch movement to service? What does he think about silicone parts? All that and much more in todays episode.
Thank you Hansy for joining us!
    Thanks for all the support!

Seriously dude, you need to have Hansy a regular on this channel. This was so entertaining and informative. I wanted to hear more on every topic he talked about. Each question could have been an hour long video.

Make more episodes with this guy. He is very cool. Question for the master watchmaker : what would be the maximum life span for a watch? If I buy a brand new rolex today and service it every 5 years at an authorized rolex location could it last 100 years? (assuming I’m still around then)

Great to see Hans again. He seems to be a very interesting person, and very confident in the watchmaking field. Glad he worked on one of my watches. Will get more in the future. Fed, make him get on camera more. 👍🍻

Great interview Fed, Hansie is not only knowledgable as hell he's funny and a good screen presence as well. Loved how blunt he was about Si, might be cool to hear his opinion on Seiko Spring Drive and some of the newer Vacheron movements (4400 etc.) in a future vid.

Great video! The ETA/Selitta/Seagull discussion was especially enlightening. On silicon, my watchmaker has the same opinion, it is extremely brittle and not worth it.

Hans is amazing!!!! Please have him on regularly!!!! He reminds me so much of my local watch repair guy: he cuts through the marketing and glorifying BS of the watch industry and just speaks truth about those little machines that tell time. I think an occasional vid of Hans working on a movement would be really interesting, too.

Very very interesting. Handzie knows his stuff it will be good to know who learns the most when he does go to Zenith. Love love love the idea of watching him work on a movement too. Great Q and A glad I don't own a Monaco! 😆

Fantastic show with great format. Hans opinion on seiko 4r and 6r movement's would be very interesting to so many of us. Great to know he is available to us and Del Ray. His opinion on sellita vs eta in itself was a true pearl. Thank you both. 👍

I'd love to hear more about the pros and cons and quirks of different movement; most robust vintage movement, most accurate (or inaccurate) vintage movement, spare parts situation for different movements etc.
