Resident Evil keep growing and remake but Syphone Filter maybe done , hope for future of this game like TomClancy and MetalGearSolid , Gabe Logan is a legend :)

The Syphon Filter trilogy on PSX was so amazing! Being able to play both Gabe and Lian, with varied missions, from stealth to pure action, was awesome in SF2!
Both of the Aljir Prison levels are so jarringly painful to play because of the horrible things happening to the prisoners. When I played this game as a child, hearing them scream when they were on fire and falling off of the cell blocks was horrifying. Not to mention the creepy music and general demeanor of the whole place. That being said, I think it's very well-executed to have that effect. The danger music for the New York Streets is so rad. That distorted guitar? Excellent.
I felt the same way about the Aljir Prison, the music made it very creepy, and the low lighting helped. It was cathartic seeing Gregorov get some revenge on those bastards.
I use to tape a piece of cardboard up on my t.v down the center so we couldn't see each other in the multiplayer split-screen mode.. Also remember all of us talking about playing against each other but not having to be there. Like the online we have now.. Little did we know what was ahead of us at that time! Great times!
omg, i am at the "inset disc part 2 now and after 15 years i will finally know what the content is!!!! our disc 2 never worked so we never played it ;.;
I remember buying another copy of the game for this exact problem. Except we broke the disc ourselves xD it was not uncommon for a PS1 game to be so huge that it had to be on 2 discs. This is probably the best one I played. I still have my functional CDs and everything. Too bad I don't have anymore time to sit down and play them for a few hours. Instead here I am watching this guy rock at this game. I was never able to finish all the missions in hard difficulty, only in the standard one, and god knows I tried xD
Wish they will remake Syphon Filter just like re2, final fantasy, and etc this game is so stuffed with long ass gameplay and even extends it with good multiplayer feature
This won't help your speedrun, but it's something I found in mission one that is just delightful~ So near the end when the G.I.s are attacked there is a time limit to eliminate the threats or they will die. You can remove this by jumping down onto the ground level and become the center target for the Agency to shoot at. Here is the cool part, the G.I.s are now impervious to the enemy's bullets, and can be used as a shield to reset the danger meter. Gabe will tell them to "get down" upon contact and they will crouch down to which you can crouch behind them and make the Air Commandos either run to the side for a better shot or just stand there and accomplish nothing. What does this all do? Well, it lets us fuck around with the game's A.I. and that is always a treat ^^

Damn, brings back such warm memories) SF2, MGS1, Crash Bandicoot Racing, FF8,9 , The Legend of Dragoon. I want a remaster of these on my ps4. Still, to this day I admire the level of accuracy in Russian levels. Almost no accent and every sentence is correct. The level of detail and love the developers put into it is just amazing!
Ah man, the cut scene at the end of the train ride was always one of my favorite Gabe Logan moments, kind of a shame that part was skipped. Bringing back lots of childhood memories here.
This was great gameserie. Too bad they didnt make new syphon filter in ps3 or ps2? with so funny run ja moving types that cannot forget in ps1. Expecially this one was the best game. That music in level 2 hospital stealth level !.. It still give me a creeps. I hate those stealth levels because im not good at them and lose my nerves easily. I think you have played a little of this like you remember all the enemies positions and places where they attack. Nice aiming and play !!
When I was a teen playing this, I generally wouldn't even play it, I'd just parachute him right into the cliff-side so I could hear him go, "...Damn!" over and over.
Hard mode was no joke, I was a kid trying to play this in hard mode but gave up & just watched my brother do it instead lol. It would be sick if all 3 were given a remake
man this game was awesome! this used to be the last of us and uncharted game of the ps1 to me. this is running on an emulator right? i don't remember the visuals is solid and smooth like this on the actual ps1, also your minimap explain it.
God I love this game. The only game where it is perfectly normal to do multiple somersaults wide out in the open while in a firefight. I never noticed how ridiculous it was when I was a kid lol.
i swear, some of those voice actors for the soldiers sound just like John C. Reilly. especially on that "i thought i heard something, ill go check it out." part. He's gonna go check it out with Dr. Steve Brule.
I am not being funny, but you must have been playing this game flat out to know what happens and where to shoot, and all. how long did this game take to Master? Because I have always loved the Syphon Filter series, i was too young to play Syphon Filter 1 i was only about 4 when it was released so i couldn't play it :P
I came here to see how to do the crash site level in under three minutes because you unlock a lot of playable characters for the two player game if you complete the last mission in disc 2 in three minutes or less
I know this sounds crazy, but to this day, the Syphon Filter series on ps1 are still the best games I have ever played

Watching this in 2020 and I think this is still the best underrated stealth/action game ever! I wasted so much of my life on this when I was a kid 😂

Shotgun is the way to go in Moscow Club 32, just run and gun for almost all level. My favorite.
Club 32 is really where things start to get serious.

With or without the super agent cheat wouldn't have made a difference for you, that aiming was really good.

PS2 they did make a syphon filter it was called the omega strain. It was alright. I give it a 7 out of 10. Nothing like the classic on the PS1

Syphon Filter 1-3 on ps1 and Omega Strain, dark mirror, and logan's shadow were on ps2
