Beau DeMayo says it in the interview himself, "respect the source material" and "resist inserting your own agenda". He even has a solid take on Superman. If Marvel doesn't rehire him then DC should snag him up like they did with James Gunn.
I'm loving that I recognise every movie/cartoon/comic/tv show they mention, it makes it relevent on a level that a lot of these types of interviews hadn't been before. oh, we were doing so well until the end announcement. is it really so difficult to check how to pronounce Marc Bernardin's name? Bernadeen? Really?
Beau said in an interview that non binary and they/them weren't terma in the 90s so they wouldn't be used in the show (if he has his way). Morph's description at the end credits uses they them... disney sucks... He also said he sees shapeshifter as another word for non binary. So, both are pretend. I agree.
True, if the they/them term's were established in the 90's, Neil Gaiman & Grant Morrison would have used them in the comics Sandman & Invisibles (instead they did their best with things like "hir" for example). But once again, Beau knows his shit, get the man back on X-Men '97 where he belongs (at time of me writing S1, E5 just dropped). I'm familiar with both these Beau & Marc's work, they can give a master class any day of the week, see their names on a project, it's a stamp of quality!
Beau DeMayo should not be in charge of defecating on any existing properties, he can write his own original stories with original stories of diversity and inclusion.
Ber-nar-din is how he pronounces it but great to see Marc getting his flowers.
More of this! and more of these 2!!!
Well Done, Gentlemen! Great conversation about the myriad trajectories of creativity as you both pursue your own dreams. 🖖♾
Marvel needs to hire DeMayo back, X-Men 97 was one of the best animated shows Ive ever seen
You are 100% correct. Marvel can fix this, bring back Beau DeMayo
This didn't age well.LMAO
DeMayo is responsible for Xmen ‘97. Therefore he can do no wrong

This is a great interview! Thanks for sharing
Wasn't planning on watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds but now I may give it a go.

Not even Gay can save you :(
tell that to king james the vi of the bible fame : P
9.0 on IMDB, rave reviews, always trending on twitter and Gary keeps avoiding the show on his channel. Why? Why not cover something people like it?
Not if you're gay and black it seems 🤔
@@david2draw i mean we all know who hates those people.

You'd be a member of the FOH if you existed in the marvel universe
