Hi Micheal. I am yr fan and following you since long. I have tried some of yr paintings too. I love yr work because you show the pallet, how to mix and use it etc. Of late you are notshowing yr pallet which handicaps people like me. Pl always show yr pallet whenever applying new color. Thanx and God bless you.
Your paintings are just heavenly. Can't wait to see the next demo when you finish this lovely painting. Wish I could download your artistic gift into my brain for just a day to see how you do it all so effortlessly. Oh, by-the-by, love your merch! The lady's T's really fit with flair and flatter. Please keep making your magic paintings. Can't wait for your new website to be up and running.
I am Amazed at your skill set, but also of your patience. The details and the precision in your painting is exquisite. Personally, I start well and either get excited and move too quickly or get paralyzed with fear of my next step; thinking that I just spent hours working on a painting and afraid that one misplaced stroke of the brush will ruin it. ((sigh)). I really enjoy watching your videos, and seeing the artwork come alive. Thank you for sharing. I now find myself analyzing paintings to see how the artist created their painting using shading and lighting, all in the stroke of their brush. Thank you for sharing the beautiful world of painting, although I know you are going thru so much. :)
Thank you so very much for sharing your painting techniques with us. I am so amazed with your paintings. I'm planning to dabble a bit with painting since I have recovered from the worst of a 20 year illness, and your videos have inspired me unbelievably as well as given me hope that I can find enjoyment in the endeavor! Bless you!
That is one thing that painting is really great for, is that you can get lost while you work and forget the problems that you face. So immerse yourself with the feeling of accomplishment and joy while you paint.
I've been watching you for a few years now, and enjoy without commenting much. Today I must say that generally with each video I pick up some little technique that I've never used before. The pallet knife as a mini pallet was a nice touch! You inspire, and yet I haven't been brave enough to try a photo realistic landscape painting. But I feel the urge to attempt it! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Sir I just pick up my brushes after 30 years after watching your videos. I aspire to be even half as good as you. This is going to be one of my retirement hobbies. Thanks for taking your time to do these videos
Michael I love watching your painting. It reminds me of my father who use to paint also. He loved it and was so good. He would have watched all your lessons. God bless you Sir.
Today, March 3, I was in Palm Desert and stopped by the Jones and Terwilliger Gallery. It was great to see your works, some of which were subjects of your tutorials. Also very taken with your father’s paintings. I am impressed with the smoothness of your panels in the completed works. It puts even more perspective into the tutorials. Thank you again.
Hello Michael, just wanted to say a big thank you for all your videos, I think they are just great! I am currently in recovery from a replacement knee op and I am learning such a lot from your demonstrations as I watch. All the best for the future!
Thank you so much for posting your amazing videos. I have learned so much from your instruction and techniques. It has taken my landscape painting to a new level.
As I've said before, I don't think I could take a photograph that looks as realistic as your paintings! As a photo realistic painter you have some serious talent Sir.
I was also thinking like that earlier.... but there are some difference between photography and photo realistic paintings.. In a painting the artist can include some magical lighting.. textures or some illusions which photographer cant. and also the focus points matters. In the case of color tones ...photographer has to spend a lot of time in photoshop or similar apps to achieve a fine result. And most of all that hand craft has got its own beauty rather than machines.
Great video!!! Always learning something from you...thank you so much for sharing with us your beautiful work and can't wait to see the finish of the painting!! All the best!💌
Ciao Michael, mi piacciono molto i tuoi lavori e la tua tecnica . Da giorni la studio . spero di imparare.. Appena sono pronto , faro' una prova. Grazie per il tuo lavoro .. Hi Michael, I really like your work and your technique. I have been studying for days. I hope to learn ... As soon as I'm ready, I'll give it a try. Thank's for your job ..
How do you modify new fan brushes in order to get them to create that small triangular shape? I have bought 6 new fan brushes from Rosemary and Co and for the life of me I can't create that shape on a consistent basis. It can be quite frustrating lol.
Do you ever change a branch or scrape it off after you've painted it? Or do you always paint branches in one go and leave them be without ever changing them? You make it all look so easy. It's like watching a magic trick, haha. Great stuff, this really is all a big help. Thank you my good sir.
Your technique is very interesting. Especially the use of tree and texture brushes. Did you improve this technique yourself or did you learn it at an art school? Anyway, bravo Michael!
Hi Michael Absolutely love your work and video,s. Can you please tell me what the difference in liquin and liquid fine detail is? I am now using liquin original since watching your videos, which has made a great difference for me but this is the first time that I’ve heard of the liquin fine detail! Once again thank you for sharing your amazing talent!
pretty sure liquin fine detail is about the same, except it is more of a liquid than the original. It might be a little faster drying too, but I'm not entirely sure in that regard.
Hi Michael great video as usual. In the old days you used to do more instruction on colours and mixing (showing the palette on screen) any chance of going back to that?
Not me, I appreciate his work. But maybe those people are not fans of painting from photographs, or of this block-and-stipple style. Maybe they want less technical copying and more creativity? Would you ever like to see him paint what's in his mind rather than camera? Might be cool!
@@donscottmacdonald Yeah that would be cool, however, that's not really what this channel seems to be about, it's more about showing the process, and having a visual cue as to what one is aiming for is more usual for those trying these techniques. Kind of like downvoting a guitar tutorial cause I prefer piano lol.
I have a request that I want to draw a scenery in which shutting star, sun set,and half moon in sky and mountains water body and forest also is shown as real as your drawing but I was not able to make that much beautiful .I want that you make please I want to know how to do it perfectly.
