As for cutting the inner fenders on Kenner’s truck, I remember what a hot rod friend told me years ago - “anyone can restore a vehicle, it takes a real man to cut one up”. Looks great 👍

This is a good learning video for Kenner Chad is teaching him the basics of using metal cutting, precision engine transmission alignment and what to look for when doing engine swaps. I like the old Scout project and will be happy to see it working when finished. I love Stacy getting involved and asking questions about what is going on. Every family member is involved in these projects and that makes it a family business!

I'm proud of Kenner, he is soaking in alot of knowledge & following Chad's fatherly advice. You can tell all the boys really listen to their dads advice. My guess is all your young men are proud of all their work & the memories of the time spent with dad & the added help from their brothers will become priceless to each one of them as the mature. Their rigs will be a source of pride, accomplishment & lasting memories for the rest of their life's.

FYI: always use a pilot drill, 1/8”. It will be easier to drill larger holes and insure they don’t lead off. I will not drill larger than 1/2” in a drill press without a pilot hole.
When trying to turn steering wheel let the vehicle move slowly f/b ward makes the steering wheel turn easier.
Chad, I’ve always made each step of a job as perfect as possible, that makes the next step and future steps easier cause your not trying to fix the last mess. I love your perfection mindset.

    just not the US gasolene.

Drove around for 15 years, now I am 67 and putting a 1950 together. Cut the firewall out, put in a bitchen recessed. 5.3 engine and overdrive transmission. 1977 nova front clip and 77 rear end. Four link set up. I have been working on this for about 20 years, it is getting close to being finished

Looking forward to seeing The Tow Truck build and Definitely the Scout!! my Grandpa and my uncle always owned scouts, my uncle had one that he loved that had terrible rust cancer Being that were in Vermont and he bought it off a old farmer he completely chopped the entire body and top, and built a complete tube cage outta it and made a strictly off-road buggy it was a great off road rig. he had completely rebuilt the entire thing drive train and suspension wise. my grandfather still has one of the little Scout pick ups that he use to use to plow the yard. it hasn't been driven in about 2 years needs a carb rebuild, and a Starter Rebuild. I may try to get it going this summer. my grandpas health has gotten bad and he doesn't have the ability to drive anymore sadly but I know it would make him happy to see me get it going again. love what you do Chad. get excited for each new video. so many RUclips Mechanics Just do stuff quick and dirty to bust out content. Chad always does things the right way, reminds me of my dad, clean, organized meticulous and shoots for as close to perfection as possible, may take a little bit longer but it's done correctly, the repairs will last and is work you can be proud to put your name behind. I always learn something new when watching your videos and explanations and I have been turning wrenches 2/3 or my life so far. Keep the Great Videos Coming Chad and Family!!🙏🏼👍✌🏼
