- On May 07, 2014 the first Airbus A380 for Asiana Airlines performed a rejected takeoff at the Airbus plant in Hamburg / Germany as final part of its ground tests ahead of its first post-outfitting test flight.
Am 07. Mai 2014 absolvierte der erste Airbus A380 für Asiana Airlines auf der Startbahn des Airbus-Werksflughafens in Hamburg Finkenwerder zu Testzwecken einen Startabbruch im strömenden Regen.

inselvideo Ich danke Dir vielmals! Das ging mit dem Asiana-Video jetzt überraschend schnell - wird den A350 wohl schon bald überholt haben. Es macht richtig Spaß, wenn man solche Videos hat. Aber so etwas gelingt einem ja nur sehr selten. Mit den Abonnenten läuft es merkwürdigerweise immer langsamer je näher ich an die 1000 herankomme, aber die Chancen stehen wohl nicht schlecht, dass das in diesem Jahr noch etwas wird. Indeed. But are several videos out there of Aircraft Carriers going through the Suez Canal. That puts things into perspective. Its funny how the biggest things we make are the ones easiest to be taken for granted.

Yes, I think they have made allowance for the "7" logo which does nothing as an image icon leaving the script too low and poorly proportioned.
It certainly should have been a bit higher up for that SFO landing.
I can tell it is that way due to typography and presentation. It would not look presentable at the top but you are right, it is as thought you feel it should be higher but that's all it is really, a feeling!

I had the privilege of flying a 380 from Tokyo to Bangkok. It seemed a bit cumbersome on the ground but when it was air born it gave sense that it was in command of the sky.

This wasn't a rejected take off at all. The pilots wife called him on his mobile and under air traffic regulations similar to cars, a pilot must pull over to take the call or face a stiff fine and penalty points on his licence.

Das war wieder richtig klasse heute in Finki - trotz des Wetters. Ich finde es wirklich schade, dass der Asiana sich nicht in der letzten Woche bewegt hat, als Du Zeit hattest.

Wow, da hat heute aber alles gepasst. Na gut, der Regen beim Filmen hätte nicht sein müssen. Aber nasse Piste und Containerschiff, was will man mehr. Und sogar die Konkurrenz wurde vom Regen abgehalten. :-)

Hamburg Videos HD Wir wären gerne gekommen, aber ausgerechnet ab heute wird das Wetter schlecht. Und wenn der Wetterbericht stimmt, dann ist das morgen leider auch nicht viel anders.
Und bei dem Wetter 1,5 Stunden hin und zurück radeln ist nicht lustig. Da würden wir eher den, hoffentlich stattfindenden, low app in HAM versuchen.

Its interesting seeing the flaps lift up to kill the lift, before the engines start to throttle down.
Amazing how quickly they can bring a monster like that under control from full power. Wonder what the issue was..

The view of the deployed spoilers (not flaps) arrives you earlier than the noise of the engines beginning to idle. Plus there's always certain inertia in the latter when either spinning up or down...

That's because the Aircraft was nearly a kilometre away from where the videographer was at, soundwaves do intend to delay depending how far away they are.

Well I wonder if it was due to the total weight of the fuselage or the flaps that reduced the drag that slowed the plane in just a few seconds.
Somebody forgot to serve the nuts in a ceramic plate.
I was on this flight. It was stopped because it was determined that the captain was drunk. He could barely walk off the plane, craziest thing i have ever seen

An welcher Stelle filmst du immer? Ich und ein Kumpel wollten auch mal in Finkenwerder spotten, wussten aber nicht genau wo der beste Platz ist und wo man die beste Sicht hat.
In Finkenwerder gibt es einen Besucherhügel, der extra für Spotter angelegt wurde. Dieser befindet sich an der Straße Neßdeich etwa 2 Kilometer hinter dem Ortsausgang Finkenwerder. Von dort hat man perfekte Sicht auf die Start- und Landebahn. Wenn man mit dem Auto kommt, gibt es dort einen großen Parkplatz. Die nächste Bushaltestelle ist "Airbus / Westerweiden" - von dort sind es etwa 900 Meter zu Fuß bis zum Besucherhügel. Wenn die Anflüge über die Elbe erfolgen, ist dafür auch der rote Aussichtsturm am Rüschpark interessant. Dieser ist nur fünf Minuten zu Fuß vom Fähranleger Rüschpark entfernt.

Nein, eine S- oder U-Bahn Station gibt es dort gar nicht. Es gibt nur zwei Möglichkeiten, dort mit dem HVV hinzukommen. Entweder mit dem Bus 150 vom Bahnhof Altona bis Haltestelle Airbus/Westerweisen (etwa 40 Minuten) oder mit der Fähre 62 von den Landungsbrücken bis Finkenwerder und von dort mit dem Bus 150 bis Westerweiden.
