    I would like to know if it is really needed to write in this lenghty way by providing arguments and counterarguments. What I have noticed is that it makes you use a lot of time and you may run out of it for other points you can make.
    Also, won't they judge those bunch of words frequently used like "the reading and the lecture are both about / the author challenges the claims / he is of the opinion that" as "pre-made ideas"? Especially with the software they use to sort of scan the passage?
    One more point I want to make is why then do they say that an effective reply is between 150 and 225 words? By using the aforementioned structure the reply is going to be around 280-300, which, me personally, am not able to write in 20', yet. This kind of structure leads me - and others I suppose - to just miss out other important points, don't you think?
    I am really looking forward to your reply!

Next, when I needed to talk I just used these sentences and improvised in the middle. I practiced this about 4 times with online speaking practice videos. Dear Juva,
    i am memorizing your templates and have subscribed to your channel. in the integrated writing task, the question asked is (summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they respond to specific points made in the lecture). therefore, I wanted to ask should i write the lectures points first or the article points first?
    and if I write your templates in the test as it is, will there be some problems with it? thanks.

    • @juva
      @juva  3 года назад

      Hi Mohib, that's an excellent question! You should first state the argument of the writer and then the counterargument of the lecturer because this way you show that the lecturer casts doubt on the writer's argument. Hey Juva, I really admire what you are doing right now. However, I am quite confused about your table usage. When do you switch between rows during listening? Normally if it is a reading passage, it is a lot easier to switch between rows because of seperate paragraphs and corresponding distinct contents. Nonetheless, it is not that clear for listening part since there are not paragraphs apparently. Also, integrity between ideas for each row on our table may not even exist because we do not know the next sentences that will be stated by the speaker. For a short example, some keywords on the table may correspond to next row's. How do you achieve such unity per row on the table? Should we just write down and seperate them at the end? Thanks in advance :) take care,,

    • @juva
      @juva  3 года назад +1

      Hey Oğuzhan, I'm so glad you like the channel :). In the integrated task in TOEFL Writing you first read an article and then you listen to a lecture. When reading the article you put the arguments the writer gives on one side of the table, when you listen to the lecture, you should be able to see where you have to put the lecturer's arguments because they are direct counterarguments to the writer's arguments. Hope this helps :).

      Hi Ramtin, I'm so glad you like the videos :). That's an excellent question! I recommend taking concise notes as I do in the video. This way you won't spend that much time on taking notes. When you write your essay, make sure that you have enough time for each paragraph. The best way to learn how to manage your time well is to practice writing essays. This way you will get a feeling for how much time you need. Hope this helps!

    Hi Juva. I have a question. The suggested word count is between 150 - 225. But, when I practice, I have more than 300 word counts sometimes. Do you think it will affect the score?

    • @juva
      @juva  3 года назад +1

      Hi Nang, if you go over the word count this does not lower your score. Rather, it may improve your score because the word count is a minimum requirement and by writing a bit more you show that you can write a longer text in the time given.
