Glass floors with a few hundred feet drop below don't bother me. Give me what I feel is a secure place to stand and I'm fine. So I would be far more afraid of heights in something that flies than in or on something that doesn't.
Here is the problem with watching Hammond, May, and Clarkson... they are so good at entertaining and talking automotive that it sets the bar incredibly high for any other broadcasters. That means... since no other show compares to these guys, we need more content more often!

However he did point out, there were teams of medics and technical support behind the cameras, and also the wires used were very strong, tested and actually tried out by production team members before the trio did their journey on them. The trio said they would only do the journey, if three members of the team did it before them, including Mr Wilman, who called it the most horrible ride of his life.
