  • Welcome back to our #BibleStudyWithMe series on the book of #Ruth! 🤗
Last week in chapter one, we left off with Ruth and Naomi, two of our main characters, in dire need of provision. This week we meet a third character: BOAZ. 😏
In Ruth chapter 2 we are given an introduction to who Boaz is and why certain aspects of his character and identity are significant to the story. We then get to watch these two characters meet, and it is a beautiful display of God's sovereignty. It may seem as if the events that brought them together happened by chance, but we know that with God nothing happens by accident - it happens by divine appointment. ✨
There is so much to be learned from the characters in this story, but more importantly there is so much to be learned about the character of GOD who these human characters ultimately point us to. Let me know down below what you learned from this #BibleVideo, and any verses from Ruth 2 that stood out to you most. 💛

Nothing happens by accident, it happens by divine appointment. ✨It is so cool to see how God orchestrates this story and what it reveals to us about His character. 💛What did you learn from Ruth 2? Let me know down below! 🤗

I have never read this book in the Bible before but it sounds like it's turning into a beautiful love story. The verse that stood out to me was verse 12. It especially stood out to me in my season of singleness. Ruth did the honorable and gracious thing by leaving with her mother-in-law putting aside her yearning for a husband and in that time, when she least expected it, she met a wonderful man. Even when our time of singleness has us yearning for a partner, we must keep our focus on God and the journey he has for us. If we follow him He will show us the person has has chosen for us in His perfect timing. 💛

Really makes me see how much Ruth's character impacted her reputation. With people seeing past her being a Moabite, seeing her actions and recognizing her character!

The Lord used this particular study to reveal something to me about Himself. You have no idea how I wept when I thought of His goodness towards me as I learned about how He loved on Ruth and Naomi. Thank you for this study.

I love that it did not make logical sense for Ruth to follow Naomi if she ever wanted to be married again, but she did anyway. In a country where she was a stranger and Moabites were looked down on, she had almost no chance. She didn’t move to find a man, she followed Naomi because she knew that as an older widow, Naomi would have even less chance of survival. I notice that we don’t hear about Naomi working. She was probably too old to glean in hot fields all day. I think Ruth saw her grieving depressed mother in law leaving on her own and knew if she let her do this she could die. I love how Kaci pointed out that even though this step of faith, obedience, and loyalty made no sense for Ruth personally, it is what attracted Boaz to her in the first place. Basically, chase God not guys.

That God doesn’t discriminate. Ruth was not a native Israelite. It’s like a precursor to Jesus’s ministry, in that he was open to the gentiles. There is so much in this scripture. Also what stood out to me is the redemptive quality that Boaz had towards Ruth, resembling how Jesus redeems us! This is a very rich story! Thank you for sharing this with us! And God bless you!

Thanks Kaci, what stood out to me this week is how you said about Naomi going from Bitter to Blessed, how she was at her lowest and couldn't see Gods hand upon her life. Its amazing and restores my faith is our sovereign God. :) also, the way God made a way for those without work hlwho were poor to keep their dignity by being able to collect the leftovers from the crop. I think it's wonderful. Thanks again Kaci, really enjoying this walk through Ruth. X

During this chapter I liked how Naomi was in such a dark bitter place with her relationship with God thinking that he didn't care much for her and had almost neglected her because everything had been so hard for her, almost as if nothing had gone right. It gives me hope that Gods hand is still working in my life right now and he hasn't neglected me. That he has a plan for me and my life and that everything he is doing right now has a reason. Even though right now I may think he is putting me through hell and I keep questioning why he is doing these things to me and what possible good could come out of this... but I have to remember that God has a plan and that nothing happens by accident, it happens by divine appointment!

I liked what you said that Ruth was known for her Character. God does not look at the outward appearance, but he looks at the heart. I liked to know that Rahab was Boaz's mom, and that shows me that he knows and was possibly brought up to know what God's redeeming grace is like. He knew that the past did not matter. Fantastic story.

I’ve read Ruth as your story has tremendously stood out to me. I seen how Naomi was also like a leader to Ruth and tho Naomi had a moment I feel her Godly character showed through Ruth as her teacher showed out of obedience to God and her mother-in-law. Which was Gods favor over all of them during restoration through Boaz.

I know this video is like 3 years old and I’m sure you don’t look at the comments anymore but I am SO glad I found it! I lead a Bible study of college girls and they wanted to go through the book of Ruth and I was so worried that there wouldn’t be enough content to make it a full study but these videos have helped me so much in knowing ways to guide the conversation and points to bring up along the way! It’s been a blessing to me as a young adult leader 5 years out of college and also to a whole group of college girls that meet at my house each week! 🤍

I think you did a really good job. However be careful not to add to the scripture something that isnt there to make a better story. Boaz did not just happen on to his field thats not there. Also he didnt notice her hard work he was however informed of her hard work by his servant. Again really good job just some constructive criticism.
