Our summer Bible study group just discovered your videos! I truly appreciate that you keep some of your bloopers and share some of your backgrounds (studying/writing papers/being a mom/etc.!) I also LOVE the printable journal pages!
It is so easy to focus on the negatives in life and how they are affecting me. Looking to others and their needs helps me put my focus where Christ put His on others. I drove people to medical appointments when my kids were little. One woman who had terminal cancer, no family, no money gave me the best lesson. In her rundown studio apartment she had signs made out of brown paper bags over the two doors she had. It simply said others. She explained that when she was young her grandfather made beautiful wooden signs that said others and placed them over all the many doors of his home. He said the harder life became the more we needed to focus on others. Rather than complaining about her circumstances this frail lady continued to volunteer by placing phone calls to others who were shut ins. She believed that this was how she stayed faithful and not caught up in her own sorrows. She had the brightest smile and the most incredible sense of humor. I want to live by her example. JOY Jesus, Others, then Yourself.
Another great study! Thank you for the encouragement. That story on Esther Kim is truly inspirational. I love your printables. But I keep forgetting to print them at work since I don't have one at home. So I takes notes in my notebook.
Have you gone through REVELATIONS? I would like to go through it but since I don’t understand what I have read throughout the Bible I feel very discouraged to read at all….
I’m new to bible studying and want to highlight and write notes but many videos go through highlighting but not how we know what to write down. I want my studies to be mine rather than copying someone. But so not sure how to go about. I know no one will see my bible unless I show it to someone but perfectionism rears it’s ugly head all the time. It stops me from actually starting bible journaling which is sad and not good.
Rahab, from the city of Jericho, is not the mother in law of Ruth. Hundreds of years happen between the fall of Jericho and Ruth... i.e. the whole book of Joshua and Judges
@@HowtoFaithALife Can you please let me know what you find, I have been looking and all i can find is that Rahab from Jericho is his mother. Thank you Faith
I know this is old but I was wondering if any of you found a different answer. From my reading in Matthew, Rahab is Ruth’s mother in law because Boaz, Ruth’s husband is the son of Rahab and Salmon. Thank you in advance.
Favorite time of day
haha thanks hun!
Thank you!
