  • Today, join me for a bible study with me on Eve! This is another episode in the Women of the Bible series- made up of women's bible study videos where we bible journal and in-depth bible study!
If you'd like to not bible journal with me and rather use the free bible study printable to take notes, here is the bible study free printable link:
    drive.google.com/file/d/1aRYa...
If you are new here- HI! My name is faith and this is my channel, How to Faith a Life! We do a lot of bible study videos and all kinds of Christian mom stuff. In this series, we bible study the women of the bible and look at the examples of faithful womanhood! I also have a whole series, How to Read the Bible- which is basically on how to study the bible and how to read the bible for all it's worth. So, if you like women's bible study videos and if you can tolerate me- go ahead and hit that subscribe button! I thoroughly love preparing and writing these womens bible study videos so we definitely have a lot more coming!
In today's bible study on the women of the bible, we are looking at Eve and why women were created. But first, grab your bible and your bible journaling supplies (if you're bible journaling with me) and pray that the Lord will meet us in this bible study!
This role of eve effects my view of everything in womanhood and so I hope this bible study encourages you as well. In this bible study we talk a lot about the role of Eve and how God made her to be a ezer kenegdo. We talk about the translation of the word, and the implications of our identity in being created different. We mention a few of the current debates and I mention my own standings on them.
Overall, I really try to focus on the creation of Adam and Eve and the differences in their roles and creation. I try to honor their significant differences and highlight the beauty in them.
All the while, you can watch me bible journal and watch my bible journaling process! So, grab you bible study free printable, open up to Genesis 2 and the story of Eve's creation, and grab your bible journaling supplies if you're not just going to watch me bible journal, and lets dive in!

I have never heard the term complimentarianism, but I definitely agree with it. Men and women are biologically, mentally, and purposefully different! I appreciate you talking about this, I know its a real hot topic. 👏👏👏

I recently discovered your videos, I'm not good at sitting down and reading the Bible myself, I tend to not comprehend what I read, so i felt finding online devotionals would help with this. I've watched several different studies with different ladies, but to me you are most relatable. You're quirkiness, the way you tell it like it is, and your relatable mom/wife stories are just what I need to keep my very short attention span. Watching you is like sitting down and having coffee with a friend. Thank you for sharing your gift and helping me in my journey to discovering God more.

I know I am called to do this, but sometimes I get bogged down with numbers so your kind words are so reaffirming that Gods using these silly videos!

I just LOVE your Bible studies, Faith! You make them so interesting and fun (you totally crack me up !) and I'm always learning something new! I don't know how many times I've read the first few chapters of Genesis in my lifetime but I have never NOTICED how Eve was created differently to Adam! I mean, I KNEW it, but I never realized the significance of it! Wow! That is just awesome! Thanks!

There is power in praying for our husbands to lead. I tend to get upset and not focused right when I feel under appreciated by Ron. That is why I make lists of my chores so I can check them up and feel proud of myself. I want to support him but I want him to value my support. Praying together hand in hand allows us to put Christ in the center and share vulnerable pieces of our hearts. That is a way to ask for what I need rather than complaining what I am not receiving.

Beautiful lesson! Thank you for bringing things to light that I have never paid attention to before.
Also, you asked about surgeries, I wanted to mention that my c-section with my son got infected as well. A week after we brought him home from the hospital I had to go back in because I was pouring fluid out of my incision. I had a serious staph infection that required me to go home with a wound vac.
I remember laying in the hospital bed praying to God that they didn't have to put me to sleep to cut me back open, which was mentioned once during my stay. I wasn't even living for God then and yet I was praying to Him.
I walked away from God when I hit about 18 years old I was more or less running away from Him. I've always prayed to Him though and somewhat knew that He would take care of me.
Thankfully, God is so loving, merciful, and gracious. It took 10 years, but I recommitted my life to Him November of 22. Now instead of running away, I'm running to God and your Bible studies are helping fuel that fire in me.

The whole fact that Eve was made from Adam brings the term "And the two shall become one" a whole new "Relationship Perspective". As in, relationships are not suggestive, they were created By God and in the same way, blessed as well.

It gave me chills when you described how ezer is primarily used to describe God! That’s just amazing to me and now I’m definitely going to do a little more research into it. :)

I love how these Bible studies bring so much more that I didn't know. Thank you for doing them. 💖
One time I read that marriage is like a dance. During a dance, the man leads and the woman follows (submits). If the woman doesn't "submit" to the leadership of the man, the dance won't work. If the man doesn't lead the woman they way he should, the dance won't work. I don't know how accuarte it is but it sounded good when I read it.
I also want to say, thank you for praying for me this week. Everything went well and I am so thankful to have you as a friend. 💖 I am so grateful for your prayers!

I had a hysterectomy at 25 years old. God had the perfect chosen children for me. But waking up to that truth was as difficult as the anesthesia. The doc sat in a rocking chair beside me to let me know I would never conceive. It was so strange he was in a rocking chair. I think he allowed me to turn that into hope that He had just the four kiddos for me and I could prayerfully go find them.

If you’re interested in the Jewish context in depth, especially in the gospels, have you checked out FFOZ’s Jesus my Rabbi yet? There’s a free Sermon on the Mount study that is a teaser for the greater Jesus My Rabbi study. The culture and context studied from the Jewish lens really brings everything to life. Just like studying the Hebrew with this. ❤️

If you are going on a road trip soon i would highly suggest listening to them together and pause it and discuss it along the way, It was so interesting and intimate to hear my husbands thoughts and share mine on these topics. If you struggle with self worth at all i would say this book will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

I know this is more than two years after the posting of this video, but I have a question, or to know Your opinion and insight on Genesis 1 and Genesis 2. This past year, I was in a women's book study group and the book we worked and studied through was Oswald Chamber's book Biblical Psychology. He talks about the between the first two chapters in Genesis there was chaos. Would you shed more light on this topic in a video please?

That belch was solid girl. I started to type my comment and I was like, yes, we are the same 🙌🏽 😆
Anyway, thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your personal experience and how we should change our perspective, to okay yes we are called to support our husband's but truly, how wonderful is that?
So my other thought was around the objections to the Bible; that it's archaic, there's not enough women, it's too "He" centered (to which I think you are missing the entire point and I pray for those people that they find Christ in it all instead of the objections) BUT think about the times of the beginning of the Bible through the New Testament. They did not value women, yet all these thousands of years ago when the Bible was beginning to be written, they were speaking of how the woman is a beautiful, compliment to the man. That HAS to be Holy Spirit inspired because they certainly weren't thinking of women in that way. And that to me is just another reason to believe that the Bible is God inspired and true.

I think of how Adam and Eve experienced death. I think today we experience death and aren’t sure if God caused it, God allowed it or the person caused it, etc. but maybe Adam and Eve experienced death each time knowing, “I caused this and I can’t fix it”. I imagine tremendous frustration and a struggle with self-loathing. Unless they were mad at God still because he didn’t let them do what they wanted…..
