I can't figure out if you mean this is a good or bad thing?:D When I commented this, I hadn't watched the video yet. Now I get that it's a good thing he has changed it so that he analyses even the forced mates.
Watched this game last night - probably in my top 5 games of all time. "No reverse gear " Rashid making Tal look ordinary. What a beautiful game by two players who played the game beautifully.
I think these four Tal v. Nezh games would be on my “anytime watch list”. The games are magical... I can watch 1000 time literally and wont get bored. Thank you so much dear Antonio for your exceptional analysis, tips, one liners, strategic positions etc. that literally taught me chess.
This reflects the true soul of chess, It's not only about winnig, it's about brilliancy, which is shown here. A game not between rivals, but between friends.
I am beginning to see why this game is remembered of all games, two players are attacking simultaneously. It was just a matter of who gets the first punch, and when he did, it doesn't stop. I can't imagine why Rashid Nezhmetdinov wasn't a GM, because he can knock all the great players out, like it was a Tuesday, and he might not even be surprised of that.
Wow how far your skills have improved. I loved this 4 years ago and still do. This entire Nezhmetdinov series should be the first series you remake if you ever remake these but please leave these old ones up forever. These are priceless and helped get me hooked on chess yet again . . .
I have seen this game before, actually a few times but who can resist Tal and Rashid. Good to get the back story too. Wonder how far Rashid could have gone if he was assisted instead of hindered.
I only started chess a few months back and came here from your latest video showing their final official game with each other. I really hope that sometime in the future you would make a video showcasing this game again because you really have changed a lot over three years and I mean it in a good way ^_^ But I can imagine wanting to have those 4 videos as standalones too
Tony my friend It seems you really want tal Wons more games against rashid. ..It Is like one's superhero. ...No one likes his favourite superhero to lose....warm salute from Argentina
What a brilliant attack. I assume that Tal had not often lost in that way. The style of Nezhmetdinov reminds me of two other great attackers - Leonid Stein and Janos Flesch. Both died too early. #suggestion Maybe you can show some games of them. If you are interested I could recommend some games.
5:05 I don't think that BxNd5 is a bad move here for Black. If e5x, Black can play Qb6+ first to move the queen out of harm's way with tempo. Then, if Be3, Black can counterattack with Nf4. Or if Kh1, Black can play Nd8. Either way, Black ends up in a playable position.
From where do you always get those nice background stories/informations about the players/games? I would love to know that. Can you recommend anything? Keep up the good work. I love your channel!
+Stian Lehne Thanks Stian. Most of them I've heard from older playerson tournaments, some I've read in books, and some I stumble upon on the internet. Good stories are very rare, so it's not very easy to get s hold of one. And some are simply not true, so you have to be careful :)
I haven't made a study of it, but my guess is that Rashid won on brilliance and lost on basics. He probably had opportunities to become a GM despite the politics of the time. Perhaps he was looking for a beautiful game where an ordinary game would win. I don't really know...
Pierre Groussac that would be my guess too. Perhaps he took risks but we only see the games where his risks got rewarded but in some others his risks got punished badly?
soru isareti well his inconsistency is one of the main reasons he didn't become a GM. Yes he was brilliant when he played games like this, but he lacked consistency and even took a few years off a chess to play checkers, where he's actually a GM lol
He has a photo of Tal on his current chanel screen (and probably next to his bed) and every subscriber milestone he shows a Tal game. So I'm going to say Tal. I even predict him calling his firstborn son Tal as well.
Can we get more Rashid games where he wins . I saw a video over here , where he played against pesttorian sorry 😢 if the pronunciation is not correct . Rashid lost in that match . I was sad that "No reverse gear" Rashid loses . So, please do make some videos of Rashid winning.
Hello Master! First of all I owe you a lot for your Open Service towards chess n its lovers in many ways; Also I want to request you for Yuri Avarbakh's games to be given a category/list in your channel home page as he was totally devastating on Great Rashid with 8.5 to 0.5; I think he is apt to be demonstrated on his games.
It's almost like what he said in another video: "Garry Kasparov was black and is playing white against Vladimir Kramnik". Because, you know, Kasparov was so good he basically played both sides of the table. ;p That quote is from the video "Kasparov sacrifices his Queen on move 12!" at 0:20 and onwards, if you're interested. Like this match, that one was amazing as well!
I’m Glad Tal was friends with his opponent I wonder if that and having to play Black had some effect where Tal not playing his best of course having played each other his opponent must have gained some kind of familiarity with Tal’s style I can’t say I’m happy to see Tal lose but his opponent played some very strong chess
Aniruddh Shekhawat If you mean 18.Nd5 Bxd5 19.exd5 Nf4 Then white has Bxf4 and black can't take bishop with exf4 because e pawn is pinned from queen But I'm not sure if I understand you correctly
At 4:58, why not Bishop D5, Pawn D5, then Queen C5? Then, ND4 would save Knight from pawn, pressure Queen, and threaten checkmate. P.S. I genuinely don't know and I'm trying to improve upon the way I would play.
I assume Bxd5 was rejected as exd5 Qc5+ Be3 Nd4 Qf2 seems to win material, with the weakness of the Bishop on f6 which. cannot move owing to f7 falling (pawn to g5 can be played if Ke7).
Tal later said about this game that losing to Nez was the happiest day of his career. What an honor to be that guy!
dat guy welbs
"Players die, tournaments are forgotten, but the works of great artists are left behind them to live on forever.”
Damn.
i am crying
🤯
"You can do the rest by yourself if you want to." I literally laughed out loud. Your channel has definitely changed!
I was going to type exactly the same comment but then saw it had already been typed.
Haha yeah, now it's: "I will play this position out, because I know how much you guys love when I finish a game,".
I wanted to say that. He has changed
On the other side, his side stories were so damn good. And he highlights some very emotional part of it all.
I can't figure out if you mean this is a good or bad thing?:D
When I commented this, I hadn't watched the video yet. Now I get that it's a good thing he has changed it so that he analyses even the forced mates.
Watched this game last night - probably in my top 5 games of all time. "No reverse gear " Rashid making Tal look ordinary. What a beautiful game by two players who played the game beautifully.
Rashid Nezmetdinov was the one, who could defeat Tal in a Tal's manner
Precisely
Nezmetdinov was to Tal what Tal was to everyone else
@@justinbieber8028 except RJ Fischer
Not so sure it actually was a Tal style seemed more like a Magnus Style just making the Correct moves and countermoves
4:49 It seems like Nezhmetdinov was playing himself in the WC after all.
7:11 Now Tal is playing himself. What sorcery is this?
JUST READ THE TITLE
lol
"Mikhail Tal resigned" thats so rare to hear, only Nezhy could do it... great game!!
Thats rare because people dont show tal losing usually
Excellent game. Speechless. Bone breaking. Thank you so much.
The amount of depth and detail in Nezhmetdinov's attack is such that Tal couldn't breathe a single time since the rook sacrifice
Wow man you saw something rare. Keep it up.
I think these four Tal v. Nezh games would be on my “anytime watch list”. The games are magical... I can watch 1000 time literally and wont get bored. Thank you so much dear Antonio for your exceptional analysis, tips, one liners, strategic positions etc. that literally taught me chess.
The Talminater
Das good!!
This comment is underrated lol
"its better to be a non gm-legend than a non legend-gm"
Bravo bravo, great said bro 👍
When I really think about it, I believe I’d rather win a brilliancy prize than a tournament.
better be a legend and remembered than a GM but forgotten
Very good game , thank you for this channel very good comments and i enjoy it much , keep on going agadmator
+Shay A Thanks for this, Shay :)
Fantastic Game! Tal losing a game is something we don't see everyday, unless we watch this video. ☺
Yes but for Tal it was about the excitement not the results.
Who's here after game 4 😂
Rashid and Tal is my favorite chess player of all time.
What happens when two magicians meet? Nezhmetdinov CRUSHES the other.
Wait so you mean there are only 2 magicians?
@@abhinavjain2985 morphy is the 3rd

Good to know that a championship has been held in my hometown. Keep these videos coming :)
Enjoying your videos more and more, never heard of this other magician until now.
Keep up the good work!

Taming the Tal like a child!😀
Sell his videos are great, but its fun to see how the quality has improved over time. My favorite channel!
The stories you tell are what set you above all the rest. Great stuff!!!
Great game sir.very much thanks for displaying such a great game.
Talk about outfoxing a wizard. Fair play to both the magicians.
I have seen this game before, actually a few times but who can resist Tal and Rashid. Good to get the back story too. Wonder how far Rashid could have gone if he was assisted instead of hindered.
agadmators is back in form thanx for the video ; D
Just found out a quote I dont know how valid it is, but supposedly Nezhy said "He who analyses blitz is stupid."
haha... good words
Lol every other person says that. That is like saying everyone has 2 arms.
@@abhinavjain2985 and just as true.
Amazing Game by Legendary Non-GM!

Great video as always! Your morning streams are also great!
+Rey Tamayo Thanks a lot Rey, join the tournament tomorrow :)
No wonder Tal took Rashid as his second against Botvinik. The best honor, besides the befitting obituary.
Rashid was a genius. His brilliancy came at the price of inconsistency because I think that is the cost of brilliance I think.

Hi ! This is great! I love any sports and chess is one of my best :))) Can you show more games of Rashid Nezhmetdinov? He is out of this world!!!
My face when he said "You can do the rest by yourself if you want to"😳
A very interesting and good game from Nezhy. It is very regrettable what he died.
I didn't understand half of the game! The level is beyond me.
You could call this match "Magic the Gathering".
Is he best non-gm ever?
Yes.
Not only that, Nezhmetdinov was also several times champion in checkers too.
Beside those who live before being a GM he is the best yes
Where did you get this information that authorities didn't allow him to become a GM because he was Muslim?
@@DaaimShabazz Google? Lol

Brilliant game, looks so easy!

what an amazing game! the only bad part is I cant decide who I want to win lol.

Please re-create a video about this masterpiece.
Thanks,

Thanks for lot of information about them

I don’t think these two would ever tie
they may only tie by insufficient material after they sacrifice the board 😂

Thissss is Real Maggic....
so pity super Nezh didn't become a GM, though he was better than almost all.
yes, laughable, isn't it?
I haven't made a study of it, but my guess is that Rashid won on brilliance and lost on basics. He probably had opportunities to become a GM despite the politics of the time. Perhaps he was looking for a beautiful game where an ordinary game would win. I don't really know...

at 5:06, after Nd5, bxd5, ed5, if Tal plays Nf4 forking the queen and bishop, can you tell me if this is a bad position for black?
Aniruddh Shekhawat If you mean
18.Nd5 Bxd5
19.exd5 Nf4
Then white has Bxf4 and black can't take bishop with exf4 because e pawn is pinned from queen
But I'm not sure if I understand you correctly
Titles don't matter. What matters is the games.
after the match ended, the white bishop remained on g2. It was untakeable
5:08 how is d6 crushing? pls explain.
The next move if black move the knight then white play d7 attack the queen and win the rook
When a legend met a legend, 90% who played white won
Precisely, are there any Yuri Averbakh's games, if possible his games list on your homepage will be embellishing, I think
At 4:58, why not Bishop D5, Pawn D5, then Queen C5? Then, ND4 would save Knight from pawn, pressure Queen, and threaten checkmate.
