I was adopted as a baby and had great parents. Recently I took a DNA test and found my bio dad I didn't do it for any other reason than to know my point of origin and see whom I may resemble. I am ever thankful I was adopted what a blessing.

My parents had 5 biological kids (I was the youngest) and adopted 8 (some before I was born, some after). There were 13 of us…And 7 of the 8 adopted had disabilities (mostly Downs Syndrome, 1 w/ cerebral palsy, and 1 was inbred). The one without a disability was a girl my exact age. We were a military family who moved a lot and we went to church a lot…but we went to public schools and we were very down to earth, we were very loved and well taken care of! Im 40 now and many of my adopted siblings have since passed…most of them when I was a young teen, Ive always struggled with so many losses. I would give anything to go back to that house full of kids and all the happiness! I lost some photos in a house fire, but the ones I do have I cherish and show off alot! And I vent on here about it sometimes (when it relates in a way). Those adopted siblings were my blood in my eyes, I didn’t know any different since I didn’t remember a time without them. I’ll always grieve for the childhood that I had with them all! My other biological siblings struggle with the loss as well. We’re all a little messed up from it to be honest! It’s very bittersweet, thankful for the time I had with them but sad they had to go so soon. It was a happy home turned broken to say the least. Lord knows I could really write a book…my life even after those deaths was one traumatic event after another. It’d be an entire series lol! Therapists and psychologists or whatever never knew what to say to me. I gave up on them years ago.
I’m a very happy person and I have a very good and blessed life, I just struggle with my past sometimes. It’s a big part of me. I haven’t been able to go back to church since they’ve passed, I’ve tried. I immediately cry when the music plays or when something is said that touches me in a spiritual way. I cry like a baby lol! 😂
I followed this story for years. I never really believed that the mother thought Paul was her son. This poor woman lost one baby and then had the other one kidnapped - she desperately needed to believe that was her baby. Certainly after they had another son they would have seen that Paul wasn't theirs. That's why it was so difficult for them when Paul discovered the truth through DNA. They suddenly had to grieve all over again and deal with the fact that they didn't know where their son was. This is ridiculously sad. I feel terrible for this whole family.
That's why hospital employees have name tags with their name, title, and position on them, which are issued by the hospital. It's a good idea to walk down to the nursery and see who's actually working there.

Yeah I can't believe they just accepted that Jack/Scott was their son that easily but I guess in those days they had very little to go off of. And even if they knew deep down it was likely he was NOT their son, believing it probably gave them huge comfort. And every little thing he did like his new parents probably convinced them he was Paul. But I agree, as he grew older, it must have become more apparent how he was not alike them.

Dora and Chester suffered horrible heartache. First they lost their first child due to a stillbirth and then a selfish evil lady heartlessly kidnapped their second child. They wanted to believe their adopted son was really theirs. But regardless like Dora said on the lost sons documentary, she and her late husband did the right thing, they took in a child that was abandoned by his birth parents and grossly neglected before the abandonment.
I just heard about the case of a little baby girl that was kidnapped by a woman posing as a nurse. She ended up going to school with her biological sister and was reunited with birth parent's. It's unbelievable that this happens!
Are you talking about the case that happened in South Africa the families name was coincidentally called Nurse. It was their first born baby girl that was taken?

I really hope Jill is found safe, and that she was also raised in a loving family. Paul is so fortunate to have been adopted by the Fronczaks instead of that horrible family where he was being neglected so badly.
So true. I had a horrible egg donor, (father died when I was 5.) She cursed, beat, humiliated, and neglected me. People told her that I would grow up to HATE her and I did. However, I had an extened family, none of them bio related. I grew up, educated myself, worked, and bought my own home. She died a bitter old woman. Before she died, she told my aunt, she was sorry but it was way to late.

But, Someone once told me and it always stuck. “it’s never good to hold hatred in your heart, You can dislike what someone did to you but don’t let hatred weigh you down.” I never forgot about it. It always stayed in my mind. I later decided to forgive that person and told them that to their face. I felt so much relief after that and was able to heal. Try to forgive so you hold no hatred in your heart for what she did to you. You never know you may feel so much better. ❤

In 1997, I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl. I kept her with me the whole time, especially after my family left, and it was just the two of us. A "nurse" came in, wearing scrubs with tiny bears sleeping on a cloud on them. She peeked in a couple of times when my family was there, but didnt say anything and left. Much later, when my baby had just finished nursing, and was quickly falling asleep, that same nurse came back. The room was dark, so she quietly walked in and was walking away with the the roller bassinette thing in which the babies are usually transported. When she got to the door, she stopped and looked over at me. I was awake. She looked startled, and was like, "Oh, I'm sorry I woke you up. Where is your baby?" I told her my baby is over here with me. She then said, "I'll take to the nursery so you can get some rest." Now the whole time she was in there with us, the door to my room was ajar, and I could hear someone on the intercom saying over and over again, CODE WHITE. CODE WHITE. ATTENTION PLEASE, WE HAVE A CODE WHITE. I told her no, thank you, but she is fine where she is. She tried to be persistent, saying it was a normal procedure for the babies to be in the nursery. And I told her that is great, but I am not doing that, and she is staying with me or I wouldn't be able to relax. Her face changed, like she was angry, and she put the bassinette back next to my bed and left. Later that morning a different nurse came in and I asked her what a code white was. She said it meant that a baby or babies were unaccounted for. I told her about the other nurse, and described what she looked like, and what she was wearing, and how I felt about her unprofessional manner when I wouldnt give her my daughter. She went to the door, asked a nurse passing by to come in our room. They both had the same matching solid color powder blue scrubs on. She told me that everybody on the floor had certain days they wear certain colors. They were always a solid color. So whoever that woman was, she did not work at the hospital, especially in the maternity ward. I immediately asked when I could go home. Then I called my maman and dad to come take me home. I was relieved, then briefly scared, then I was livid. Three babies were missing, and I sincerely believe she had targeted my baby.
I'm a twin & couldn't imagine the feeling he has not knowing where she is. 💔 Hopefully, one day they can be reconnected.
It's amazing how Jack turned out to be such a soundminded, responsible person despite his difficult early years. Maybe the loving presence of his little twin sister saved him. He wasn't alone. I can understand why he's trying so hard to find her.
Paul(Jack) was so blessed to have the adoptive parents that he had after the abuse and neglect that his biological parents put he and his twin through. Alcoholics should not have children.
I heard of this story. I am happy Paul was reunited with his Mom (on the phone). Scott was better off with Paul's parents, his twin sister is still out there. I hope Jill will be found.
I grew up watching 20/20 and this is one of the many stories that stayed with me. Truth is truly stranger than fiction and certainly more tragic. I'm sure there will always be a part of Paul/Jack that wishes he never went down this path due to what he's lost but in the end, I'm glad he's gained a measure of closure and some of the answers he was looking for. There's no "right" way to react to this type of news so I can't really judge his wife, parents, and brother for how their relationships with Paul/Jack changed. It saddens me that what seemed a difficult yet attainable case turned into such an unexpected journey. I cannot imagine what the real Paul was feeling as he was faced with the truth while he was dying. I cannot imagine how Dora felt when speaking to her real son (Chester had already passed by then). And I cannot imagine how Paul/Jack felt when he discovered that he was an abused and later abandoned child. I wish them all a measure of peace (if that's even possible) but I mostly wish that Jill is found, no matter what the truth is.
All the way around it’s a sad situation. There’s so many moving parts to it. One of the silver linings, thankfully, is that Paul was well loved.
I wondered if Paul's bio-mother had the twins as a result of an affair (or her husband believing she had one), why they might have been treated badly. My experience is that twins are usually adored. It would not have made sense for an in-tact couple to adopt but to leave a child in a stroller for any insane person to pick up is beyond me

This is a crazy story! This just happened to my siblings and us. My father passed away seven years ago, and he spoke of a woman in heaven, being pregnant with a girl we couldn’t remember the woman’s name so I decided to do an ancestry DNA test. A year later I get an email and it says that I have a hit on my profile. I go in there I see a couple of my house siblings which we know but at the top there is a woman and it states that she is either my mother, my aunt or my sister. We reached out to her and sadly her mother never told her and the guy that raised her never said anything and both of them had passed away so she couldn’t get any answers. Sad thing is if she does not want to meet us, she’s upset about the whole situation which is understandable but do you know this is surprising to us also so we just let her know that we’re here and if she ever wants to reach out as she can
This is an incredible story! It seems everyone was a winner in the long run. I hope and pray Jill the twin sister is found alive. I’m sure Jack would love to meet her. Just as I hope and pray Jack has continue his relationship with his adopted parents as well!
My son is 2 months old and when he was born they put a ankle monitor on him. He had to be electronically transferred from area to area. Had anyone tried to leave any area with him the doors would've automatically locked and the entire hospital would go into lockdown with every doctor, nurse and security guard running to the alarm. Trust me I asked all the questions before my son left my sight.
Wow! They hit them with EMF from birth. I thought babies pretty much stay with the mother these days. Parents need to be careful with electronic devices that emit harmful electromagnetic waves, such as baby monitors. Use them wisely and search for ones with less radiation.
When my kids were born in the 90's they didn't have security precautions like that, but my babies stayed in the hospital room with me. Any time either of them had to be taken out for any reason, I told my husband "Don't let [her/him] out of your sight." He accompanied them every time, which the hospital was happy to allow. I can't even imagine those old days when all the babies were put in a big room and the parents and family had to look at them through the window. How awful.
@@Geronimo2Fly There might be a lot of cases from back then (when hospitals kept babies in a big nursery together) that nobody is even aware of, where babies were switched with others at birth, because they put them all in one big nursery away from their parents. It seems like it would've been easy for nurses taking care of them to get confused and accidentally swap 2 and put them in the wrong spots. It's not something that anyone would've even noticed or caught on to in most cases. Even if it was suspected, It is not something that could've even been proven until pretty recently when they started to be able to check people's DNA to see if they are related.

In the delivery room the nurse would be filling out the information of Mother's name, baby's name, weight, length, hair, ect. and the OB/GYN delivering the infant and put the strip of info into a plastic bracelet. One for the mother, and one for the baby's ankle. This was done before leaving the delivery room. I still have my bracelet, found it a few months ago!!

When I had my 20yr old, they put an ankle monitor on her. I asked why and they said if any babies were taken off the floor, then entire hospital locked down. Someone had stolen a baby 2 years before from that hospital. It's insane. Any of us could be the stolen baby, and we wouldn't know it.
It is great that they've started to do so much to stop those kidnappings from happening. Years ago when I was in labor for the first time they were just starting to do things like put the alarms on the baby and they would leave the babies with the mom rather than putting them in the nursery, and if the doctor had to see them it was done right in the room with the mother. That was a little over 20 something years ago for me. There were a lot of these cases that had happened around that time. I remember hearing about a few right in my area. I remember my mom being worried about that too when it was almost time for me to go into the hospital. I think that it is definitely happening a lot less nowadays. I have not heard of any of those hospital kidnapping cases in forever. However It seems like now there are all these cases of women killing the pregnant mothers and trying to steal the babies directly from the mom's womb. There are a bunch of true crime cases on you tube lately where that has happened. It seems more common. I wonder if those cases are increasing in number now, and if it is because hospitals have increased their security so much, and made it so much harder for someone to steal a child from the maternity wards. They might realize that sneaking into the hospital won't work, so they are trying to do it before the mom goes to the hospital, which unfortunately makes it even worse now in a way. Although neither crime is good of course.

Lol, I couldn’t. I was born sixty years ago in the home where my mum stayed for the rest of her life. Cared for by my Auntie Margaret who was a midwife. Apparently when things slowed down a bit my auntie told my mum to shove over a bit, she got in the bed and they both had a nap while my poor dad sat downstairs waiting and worrying!
Thirty years ago when my daughter was born, they were just beginning to tighten security in UK maternity wards. No alarms on the baby, but you couldn’t open the door to the ward from the outside and the baby stayed with me until I needed a sleep at night.
I wouldn't be able to let this go either. It's weird his loved ones couldn't understand that.

Wow, i was adopted at 3 weeks of age in 1971, my birthday is actually tomorrow.. my parents were so open with my story, I always knew i was adopted.. they told me about the day they got the call i was available, about their trip, the weather, and everything. My dad's been gone since spring 2020, but I live with my 83 year old Mom, since Dad was put on hospice. It's been a beautiful life, I couldn't ask for more loving parents. Yes that, or just happy to finally have him back. I do not think it was a bad look. It did not look to me like he was doubtful that the child was his son. (Although later they found out that he was not the biological son.)

When I was an infant my dad's mom adopted me. I knew my dad very well but my mom only visited rarely so I didn't really know her. My grandma died when I was 8 and I went to live with my dad and stepmother and my younger half siblings. I saw my biological mother 2 or 3 more times then she was murdered when I was 10. I was a daddy's girl 100%. I loved my stepmother and my siblings. My dad died in 2014. In 2018 my best friend asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said that I wanted an Ancestry DNA test. I got the results back a few weeks later and I found out that my dad was not my dad. I was devastated. My 3 siblings took tests because they didn't believe it. They all matched each other but no one matched me. I loved my daddy and my stepmother dearly but I always felt like I didn't belong. And now I know why. I don't think my dad ever knew the truth. If he did he never told anyone. I still haven't been able to determine who my biological father was 100%. The man who I believe that likely is my biological father died in 1994. He had one son, that man is not willing to take a DNA test to confirm if we are siblings or not. We don't look anything alike. But my DNA matches lead me to this man's family. There's 6 kids but he was the only male old enough to be my father. I pray that I will find the truth before my time on this earth is over. It's hard to have your entire identity stripped away at 40 years old. I can really relate to this story. No matter how good a life you have, it's hard not knowing where you come from.
I sure do feel for and understand Paul. I was adopted as an infant and was made aware of this fact by my adoptive parents. I recently put my DNA on one of the public sites figuring only to find out my ethnicity ratios. To my complete shock, I found four relatives one being my biological father. I've since met all four and met a few who were not on the site through the original four. I know who my birth mother is, but she doesn't want to acknowledge that I'm her daughter. I understand it's extremely hard for her to deal with it. Mine is a success story in that I now have the actual story of who I am. There's something about knowing who you are and where you come from that gives a person a sense of foundation and basic understanding of yourself. It just puts the subject to rest. Paul's story is far more complicated than mine. And he seems like a self driven person so he's not likely to give up. He just needs to know the truth. And he needs to find his sister or find out what happened to her so he can put it all to rest.
wow...just wow!! I've never heard this story and it's unreal! I think the saddest thing, of SO MANY SAD THINGS, is that Paul's wife couldn't understand his desire to know the truth about who he was.
I couldn't believe that the doctors and nurses at that hospital thought it would be a good idea to keep it a secret from the mom, and not tell her immediately that her baby had been kidnapped. They should have notified her immediately and called the police. She could have given them a description of the woman who took the baby by saying she was a nurse, and who was the last person she saw with her baby.
Then after they did tell her that her child was missing! They gave her a meal of filet mignon. WTF?! Like she is going to have any appetite, or that's going to make anything better at all. It was such an awful way to handle it and the steak dinner was totally inappropriate for the circumstances. It wasn't a time to celebrate and having a big steak dinner seems like a celebratory act when obviously the mother would be feeling the opposite of celebratory, and would just be grieving at that point. It seems like both the parents would have been livid, and absolutely terrified (understandably) after going through all that.

I've heard this story a few times before, but it was interesting to see your take on it. My heart goes out to Paul and Jill. While it's clear that Paul's adoptive parents went through immense trauma, it was rather heartless of them to cut ties with their son for 3 years. It could have been handled so differently. Hopefully Jill is alive and well somewhere. This is just so devastating. 💔
How can a person not report the abuse of the babies and a mother say to her daughter that saw the abuse not to say anything as it was not their business.Shocking..

Wow! That was crazy. I'm so sorry for all who were involved. I can't imagine not knowing who I was. Even being a mother of an adopted child, I have told them I'm in favor of them seeking who their biological parents are. I know I would want to know. Their grown now, so it's imperative to move quickly before a biological parent passes away. I wish all who are involved best wishes in their search for their true identity.

Kidnapping babies isn’t a learned trick or a fashion. It’s committed by a desperate person or, god forbid, a pervert and there were just as many of them fifty or sixty years ago - you just didn’t hear about them
But Paul needed to find out about his “real” family, because he needed info about his life for medical reasons for his daughter ❤

@@Starae336 You have a flippant attitute. It is very important to know ones roots. Everyone should know who their real family is be it a good or bad thing. Abductions, kidnappings or stealing a child can be solved due to a dna sample. A medical problem that is hereditary is also better to know so as to prevent ignorance.

What a twisted convoluted story, can't imagine how it feels to have your whole life turned upside down based on one action of another when you were a baby. Incredible story
When my ain’t had her first child, she was not married. So at the hospital They told her the baby had died. 40 years later, that baby as a grown woman now, was trying to fine her biological parents. That’s when everything was uncovered. Because my aunt was not married, so having a baby was shameful, the grandparents with the help of the doctor put the baby through legal adoption. With papers and everything. While telling my aunt that the baby was a stillborn. For about 40 years, my aunt thought her baby was dead.
I wasn’t married when I had my oldest. And a lot of people didn’t want me to keep him.
I realized my phone autocorrected the word “aunt” to the word “ain’t” for some reason. ... and the word “find” was corrected to “fine”. I really should start checking better.

I’m adopted and always felt like I wasn’t the oldest, even though I am in my adopted family. Nothing was ever hidden from me and I thought I knew my biological parents’ names. Turns out, my birth mom accidentally got my birth dad wrong and another guy was my birth dad and I have an older half-brother by 7 months. I was also weirdly obsessed with the name Steve as a kid and that’s my birth dad’s name.

There's no way in hell that I would leave my baby in a stroller outside of a grocery store so I could do some shopping. That's the weirdest & most irresponsible thing I've ever heard of.

At birth I was swapped with another baby, but luckily my mom noticed and I was returned to her. Close shave, people!! (That of course was many years ago before DNA, etc made tracing easier. I look just like my family members, especially my dark thick eyebrows, which is a family trait!)

I think every new born dna should be taken and stored in a dna bank, every adopted child, foster child and any child under 12 tears as it is vital to be able to know and trace any future child's roots if taken, kidnapped, abducted, murdered or who disappear. Be it done in hospitals, in schools or by hospital staff as it is vital in this day and age for accountability when we have more travel opportunities, changing names for no apparent reason and it appears its like an accessory now to change a name willy nilly or use an alliance!
Incredible! The composite is too close to Linda Taylor to doubt, given her insane life. It's such a relief that the babies had good lives, but the whole thing was horrendous. The other day I had the last 4 pak of Boost in my buggy at CVS. Left cart to use bathroom and came back to empty cart. I felt violated over that theft, so can't imagine the nightmare of a stolen baby. Thanks for great video! I'll watch more.

Who wouldn't want to know who they were and where the other (real) Paul was? I'm sorry Paul's family couldn't understand that. I have an adopted son, I had him since he was born, and I understood totally when he wanted to find his birth mom.
Amazing story
As a child of basically illegal adoption and unfortunately my parents were crazy my baby brother was my birth brother and I loved him so died as an adult from the injuries he received from our adoptive mother. We were bought and we were sold. 60000 children stolen from their parents in King county Seattle courts Washington USA. 1960s through the 70s. Most sold to wealthy people throughout the United States and Canada who had been denied adoptions in the regular system because of mental issues. Of my parents for children who ended up in this system we all were abused. The reason we ended up there our parents were poor. Our mother had brittle diabetes and dementia in her blood sugar became really bad but that doesn't mean you should remove the children from their home just because the mother is in the hospital however if you have a dirty social worker yeah kids suddenly disappear and end up in adoption in less than three months.. my birth family found me when I was 36 but not in time for my mother to finally see her son that she got never got to hold because the minute he was born he was already sold.
