I had my iPhone 12 mini battery replaced last April and the capacity is now 92% almost 18 months later
Also RCS messaging is ENABLED BY DEFAULT
I rather charge to 100% in case I need that extra 20%... That's like living on a edge for no reason because battery change after year or two is not that expensive anyway!
I would guess you have an iPhone I have the s24 ultra and I agree with you I charge to 100% because I need the 100% every day because my phone is also connected to a smartwatch and I normally change my phone every year to so I don't worry too much about the battery wearing out .
The only people that need to use the 80% to help extend the battery life are those that keep their phones for 3-4 years or more
@chris7077 you got that right I change my S-Series Ultras every year of course there is a setting I think it's 85% but that doesn't make sense to use it.

Cuz you spoiled and change you phone every time, some people have phones for 4/5y

5:46 WHY IS NO REVIEWER TALKING ABOUT HOW FRUSTRATING MOVING APPS IN IOS 18 IS. Sometimes I can move the icon to a large blank space and it works fine but other times, it shuffles the icons to fill the blank spaces randomly. Like if a page is almost filled with icons and I move a middle icon to the bottom right blank space it fills the blank space from where I took the icon. The whole point was that I could have blank spaces in between.

Setting the battery charge percent is stupid. After 2 years you might have 5% extra battery health, but you’ve spent 2 years with an 80% battery.

I dont see a big difference between 15 and 16 , its just fooling people by the over hype which is actually not really worth it .... all those updates are even available in ios 18 on 15 too , its just a camera and some bazel differences that's all ...
My 13 pro max hasn’t dipped below 87% and I don’t have the ability to limit charging. You friend should turn off background processes
So basically you limit the charge on your iphone to 80 % essentially making it behave like a 2 years old degraded to 80% battery with the only difference you do it from day 1 ... makes 0 sense to me.
Why would i use the phone with less screen on time since day 1 making it like 2-3 years old phone when most ppl will change it at around 3 years mark if not every 2 years or even 1 year cycles for some.
If you are a person who change it every 5 years just to argue or u are really from the 5 ppl on the planet that do so then u pay 100 dollars for a battery 1 time in those 5 years and u dont limit ur charge and always use max screen on time.
I really dont get this charge limiting to prolong battery life, u just " degrades ur battery to 2-3 years old battery from the 1st day" like what the actual fok is this bs.
This would make sense if u have a product from the past that is last of its kind and there are no batteries anywhere in the world for it and u plan to keep a product working for as much as u possibly can as u enjoy it as something vintage and rare. Not for a phone that u change every 3 years if even so long for most ppl and u can put a brand new battery for as much as 2 glass of whisky if u plan to go longer.

For me ive got the 15 pro max and its completely fine i doubt i be changing phone anytime soon
😅 i went from an fold 4 too the 15 too try out my first apple device i dont like it too much compared too the freedom . I used too get in androids custom features 😊 but im slowly getting used too it . Had mine for aboiut 6 months now and i only charge too 80% and charge it once every 2 too 3 days as i dont use it as much as i used too use my samsung phone :)

I don’t keep phones long enough to care about battery health lol. I think apple adding the ability to see your battery health percentage has just made people worry too much about it

My iPhone 13 is most of the time on my wireless charger 24 hrs everyday except when I go out maybe 2-3 times a week, and the battery health is still at 91%
I have a iphone 11 original battery I charged it every day to 100 since I bought it new since 2019 the battery is at 76 health never had a problem . Don’t worry about the battery one charge lasts u all day long unless ur straight up on ur phone all day long playing games or watching movies but at that point you should probably get a job or some kind of real life activity hiking or hobby

At least 16 pro max is usable phone in 2024, My iPhone 7+ is 9 years old and it’s very laggy. I mean it heats a lot, really frustrating as a student. Battery drain is really fast, it charges whole day.
You need to buy a new phone.
