I like how the bassist is all chill and stuff, like everyone else is all dancing weird, and just generally being weird and the bassist is all, "hey, I'm just happy to be here, don't mind me". Great song and great band also.
That's how everyone use to jam with their instruments back then especially in the alternative and nu metal scene. Everyone else was to worried about messing up their emo bangs lol
I love and miss my uncle. This band was the first rock show he took me to in Pompano Beach FL when I was a teen. And, they blew me away!!!!! RIP Uncle Anthony.
@@RaquelsModernLife No they didn't. UFC used the song "Face the Pain" by STEMM and yes the riff does sound a little similar but I wouldn't go as far as saying STEMM stole the guitar riff
Been listening them since high school in the mid 2000's. I always loved watching the bass player, in every video, just chill in the back and do his thing, watching his pals go nuts. Always makes me laugh.
it was good stuff.. I still have it and listen to a few songs from it from time to time.. brings me back to being a 17 year old kid (where the time go?) lol
+Frisbee I believe what many bands don';t share with It's consumers throughout the years for the reason hard rock goes soft; maturity. With wisdom comes less aggression. Truths like, violence begets more violence. Victim mentality lyricism is void of solutions that keep an individual harboring resentment, by being incapable of forgiving. Lastly, the awareness of the power of influence. It's great to relate to a countless number of dysfunctional youth, but why continually fuel hatred/bitterness when the outcome is well understood?... This clearly doesn't apply to everyone. Just my observations over the years along the spectrum of Rock.
Ishiinrue Oh I agree with you 100%. That's my argument against haters of the new-age Korn. When the older Korn albums came out, Jonathan was in a bad frame of mind. He grew up and isn't as full of hate, and that is apparent in their music. I'm all for growing with bands as they change their frame of mind, as long as the music is still to my liking. If a band changes their style of music (i.e. Trivium going more power-metal in their last album) than I simply won't listen to it. I'll give it a chance, but that's the thing with music, it's all subjective. In the same breath though, you can still have awesome heavy music even though it doesn't have self-loathing and hateful lyrics. Just look at Gojira.
Quite literally one of the most UNDERRATED Rock Bands of ALL Time! So much incredible potential within this crew...what could have been should have been! Wtf happened to the phenoms!? Greyest of Blue Skies was an amazing album!! It's still one of the the few albums I can listen to all songs all the way through and still enjoy! I want this Finger Eleven back! Before they sold out! :(
So interesting to see how this band consistently adapted to the zeitgeist, both in the style of their music and visual aesthetic. As minor key nu-metal became less popular, Finger Eleven vegan working with dancier and indie-inflected pop rock and moved away from this heavy sound. James Black stopped putting liberty spikes in his hair. Rich Beddoe gave up the Juggalo dreads. Scott Anderson grew his hair out... For me, I guess it felt like I was growing up with the band.
When you listen to the 2 albums before this one, it's even more jarring because they started as more of a "post-grunge" band with funk influences. So the shift to nu metal was a conscious decision to fit with the trends then too.

It was riding the nu metal train, and it stopped at "Pop Success" station, and they got off. =D
Well actually Matt Damon started focusing on his acing career and quit the band as their lead singer.
Jefferson Ruboix :(
Jefferson Ruboix that's all because he gained weight and lost some hair(

Ah, the late 90's/early 2000's style of holding the guitar at your ankles.
Gotta love the 20th century
stop, can't handle the nostalgia already...
Yup. I forgot about this band nice to hear them again ahah
uh that started in the early 90s,,,,watch Krist Novaselic with Nirvana
alternative metal should be alternative in all aspects, even in the style of holding the guitar
